What Ability does Kirby get from EVERY Amiibo?

Let's see what kind of Copy Ability Kirby receives from every amiibo. In Kirby: Planet Robobot, scanning an amiibo grants Kirby an ability based on the characters powers. Some are obvious, like getting the Fire ability from Mario, but what does Kirby get from characters like Mr. Game & Watch? Let's find out.

  • Turns out different amiibos of the same character have no difference in the game (e.g. Awakening Link registers as just Link) aside from amiibos of Kirby characters. Here is a full compatibility list: amiibo.life/games/3ds/kirby-planet-robobot

    • I am pretty sure its because of new amiibos otherwise not being able to be used on old games (and likely vice versa) so they just used the game general code for it (I do not own amiibos so I do not know what its called, but the thing the 3ds/switch would scan)

    • Luckily for Nintendo, this is resolved in a side series named Super Smash Bros., where if Kirby inhales a core character, they don't get stuck in his void and he still gets the Copy Ability.

    • Alistair Bruce Luigi's kinda all over the place when you think about. Usually, it's green fire, like in Double Dash and the Olympic Games, but then there's thunder in M&L Superstar Saga and Strikers and wind in Sluggers

    • @@cidneysavoie9878 I mentioned in a comment a few minutes ago that Fighter or Hammer would make way more sense for Mario and Luigi. Why is it Fire though? The Mario Bros. do use fire, but it is not directly related to their own abilities. There are many other Power Ups that give them other abilities, and are just as much related to the Mario Bros. as the Fire Flower is.

Also, yes they do have fire powers in Smash Bros, but it should represent the character as a whole, not just the power that they had in one game.

  • DLC amiibo give you a random ability. Ryu, Cloud, Corrin, and Bayonetta amiibo weren't out at the time of Robobot's release, so that's why they don't have a set ability in the game.

    • The fan of Kirby That’s because, if I remember correctly, the Ryu Amiibo came out after Planet Robobot was out, so the game treats it as a “random Ability” Amiibo. This is also true for the Third Party Super Smash Bros. Amiibo (Pac-Man, Mega Man & Sonic) already released at the time.

    • @Angry Guy That’s a good question Maybe they would have a specific ability, or it would say something like Inhaled shovel knight and randomly got the (insert ability here) ability also, it may be saying the random thing because the game wasn’t programmed to use these amiibo and just has to use a random ability since it doesn’t know what ability the amiibo has

  • I kind of understand Fire from Mario/Luigi, but I think Fighter would make more sense. Or even hammer (from the Mario and Luigi RPG series, the Mario Maker Power, and the Hammer Bro Suit). Mario and Luigi do both have fire powers, but only when they collect the power up, so if you say they have fire powers, then they also have ice (ice flower), flight (many power ups), stone (Boulder and statue (racoon and tanooki variant)), and various animal powers. Meanwhile, their main abilities are mostly physical (stomping, punching, and jumping/punching objects from below.)
