    • Evelyn could be used in so many better ways than asking her to try something American "for the first time." She lived in the US for 8 years and is a US citizen. She's as American as every other American. Ask her about her experience in North Korea, or escaping, or differences between North & South Korea. Borderline fraudulent content

      @mar_man813@mar_man8132 жыл бұрын
    • Eh. I get it. America has such food diversity it’s absolutely possible to go 8 years without trying a particular food, particularly if it’s from a different ethnic cuisine than you usually eat. Like, my area has a big Korean immigrant community and you could easily go 8 years without trying non-Korean food if that was your comfort zone.

  • I'm an American but I very rarely eat ketchup. It tastes too sweet to me. I keep some to-go packets in the fridge and use them when I make my own roux for (Japanese) curry. I've lived in Japan and China--one of my favorite Chinese dishes is scrambled eggs cooked with tomatoes and served over rice. I think the secret ingredient is ginger and a little soy sauce in the tomatoes. It's so stinking good! I also love the Japanese breakfast where you crack an egg over a bowl of piping hot rice--but the egg has to be fresh.

  • It's always hard to do topics like these on the United States, specifically because depending on what region you're in, the comfort foods could be entirely different. For example the deep South is likely to have a few different comfort foods then say the upper Midwest. For me personally, the ultimate comfort has got to be a turkey thigh dinner, with mashed potatoes and dressing, like a mini Thanksgiving!

  • I feel bad for the young American woman who hardly ever ate home-cooked meals while growing up. Her mother must have worked a full-time job her whole life, the poor thing. If she did that out of a desire for having a career, vs. out of necessity, that is an example of the sick culture in America brought about by Marxist feminism. Restaurant food is usually prepared with cheap, toxic, hydrogenated cooking oils. Her arteries and veins are probably deeply scarred from that, and she's in danger of atherosclerosis as she gets older. She should seek out natural cures for this condition by researching the topic on Yandex, since Google heavily censors information about natural cures. Avoid statin drugs, young lady... they cause Alzheimer's disease.

    • Imagine believing in the supernatural in 2022! God isn't real. I don't need saving, we will all die eventually, and there is no afterlife, however good that would be, there is no evidence of that, or God, or anything supernatural. 'Sin' is a matter of perspective. Stop copy and pasting religious comments in the most random places, it doesn't make people believe you, it just paints religion in an even worse light. Thoughts and prayers do nothing, it won't improve human lives, it won't save Ukraine. I have 'faith' in Humanity, not a 'God'.
