honestly i've owned this scooter for almost 2 years and i've never had to do any maintenance on it, the tyres are very durable, its very quiet even on bad roads, sometimes i see other scooters that make alot of noise because the rear fender hits the tyre, and this scooter is so quiet it doesn't do that. would i buy this scooter today? No, i've been thinking about changing it for a while, it's not a great scooter, the deck is way to small for me, the 250W motor (peak 500W) is very weak and most importantly the range is very bad, you will always have range anxiety if you buy this scooter, yes you get your money's worth, but I think it's worth it to get a better and more powerful scooter, you will pay around 150$ more for a way better scooter than this one that has alot more range, max speed and power

Hi, the range on this scooter is 20km, of course this would depend on the types of terrain, temperature etc that you have in Finland but 20km would be the general number to go by :)

I have to go up hills in Cork 🇮🇪 the city is flat but I live on a hill which shall I get the essential or the 1s xiaomi model.
Hi, the essential has a max climbing angle of 10% whilst the 1s has a max climbing angle of 14%, so the 1s may be a better fit for climbing hills :)

@Mohammed Abdur-raheem yeah, it’s limited to 20kmh. The programming I’m the scooter will not let it bypass 20kmh on a downhill, however there are apps on your phone you can get to bypass this limiter and be able to go up to 30 KMH

Hi Craig, we wouldn't recommend this for a child as thee as the top speeds are pretty quick, in terms of the height Xiaomi states the suitable rider height is: Rider height: 120cm-200cm. Hope this helps :)

We couldn't test this scooter in the rain for you, but it only has a light rain resistance so depending on how much water there is on the pavement or if it's raining, it may not be wise to ride around after or during heavy rainfall. I understand how unpredicatble the weather is in the UK, but hopefully rain isn't something you'll need to worry about during the summer and autumn months 👍

I rode 7km and the battery dropped five dots of six. It’s -6 celsius where I live. Do you think the cold wheather is the problem or did I get a scooter with a broken battery? The scooter is three weeks old.

Hi Amir, unfortunately we no longer have the scooter for me to double check how to do this, but I believe it's either via the app or by holding the accelerator at at a steady speed until you hear the beep. Please feel free to try these out, or if you find it works another way please let us know so other viewers can see too :)
Download the MI app from the Google play store and pair your E scooter to the Mi app by enabling the bluetooth & gps feature on your phone while keeping the e scooter power on. Once its paired check the settings and from there you can notice the various feature such as enabling Cruise control feature. Hope this helps! 😁🛴

Thanks so much! We didn't ride it a full 20Km so can't talk from personal experience on this one, we probably rose around 10km on a single charge and we didn't have any batter issues. However the range is listed on the product as 20KM so we believe it should be able to do 20KM in one charge :)
Well it depands your weight, the road and much more, as for me 94kg and hills i go down from 100% to 60% after 7km at 20kmph

Is it possible to swap out the battery of the essential to the battery of the pro 2 or something? Cause I wanna give it more battery without bringing an extra battery pack.
From what I've read, you can upgrade the battery but it takes a bit of work but can save you money if you take the risk. A lot of users tended to just get the Pro 2 instead. I'd suggest checking out Reddit there's plenty of great advice on there 👍

Hi! We tested this scooter in dry, cool weather conditions so we can't personally tell you if it works well in wet weather. But from what we can tell it should work okay on wet surfaces and in light rain but wouldn't fully suggest riding in pouring rain! I hope you find a definite answer to your question 👍

@@xxzombiesahmed5901 That's fine. Reflectors come in different colours, you would just need to find another one the same shape and size to replace it with. I don't think they sell these on the Xiaomi website so you would need to source a 3rd party one or custom make one 👍

How to activate cruise control
Hi, all you should need to do is turn the scooter on, press and hold the break level down, press the power button once until the P1 appears on the scooter’s display, then navigate to P2 using the light button and press the S button to turn it On or Off, then release the brake lever to save the setting and exit the menu. Hope this helps!

All scooters that can ride or is capable of 40 mph, registration will be required and the user will need a motorcycle license and minimum of liability insurance. That’s the future soon to arrive if speed is the selling point of e-scootering. I ride an escooter, and i want to ride without needing a legalization process, or worse banning.

what is this? the uk legal version of m365 ? Before i bought the German legal version, I already had an original m365, and simply swapped the entire electronics - now my "legal" m365 drives 18.6 mph ^^ I only set the eco mode to exactly 20 kmh/12,5 kph in case if the pigs check me

Unfortunately, we don't have this scooter anymore to try this out! Have you tried the dashboard app? I heard this can work when activating CC. Other than that, changing speed can effect it so when trying to activate, try driving at a steady constant speed for more than 5 seconds. I hope you can get it to work!

Latest 2 pro model this one is crap tbh.
Hi i am borrowing one of these scooters to get round Gibraltar. To say i am utterly disappointed with it is an understatement. Anything thats is even the remotest slope or incline it wont go up. While other scooters are flying past i am left walking up the road pushing the bloody thing. For nearly 400 pounds this is utter rubbish unless to live on flate marble smooth ground. I have gone back to power walking to work at least i will be a bit fitter.

Hi, we just make sure the Xiaomi scooter was on, turned our phone Bluetooth on and paired it via the 'Xiaomi home' app :)

Hi, to turn off the beeping you need to pair it with your phone and run through the safety video :)
Hold the break and acceleration while holding both press start button to reset it after this should be fine.
