    • @@oldironsides4107 I would argue that his generation was kind of the first to achieve mastery of BJJ. There have many before that where great for their time but the sport was in early infancy.

  • 2:30 - white belt question here. Apart from fighting the strangle hand, why isn't the other guy using his legs to try to unravel the body triangle? At this time stamp, his knee, while turned on that side, is right next to Roger's calf. Could he not at least have attempted something there??

    @TheDomLouis@TheDomLouis17 күн бұрын
    • Has to fight the hands first. If choke is on, it doesn’t help to escape the hooks/body triangle. You’re still going to sleep

      @jorn0607@jorn060717 күн бұрын
    • @@jorn0607 I get that. But can he not use his hands to fight the strangle while at the same time use his feet to unravel the body triangle? I know it wouldn't be particularly easy, with Roger on your back, but maybe just trying to undo it would force Roger to focus on 2 things, defending the body lock untangle while trying to finish the RNS?

      @TheDomLouis@TheDomLouis16 күн бұрын
    • put the locked side down then use your bottom leg to push their leg forward, you can see roger doing this in the beginning

      @Keenjannik@Keenjannik16 күн бұрын
    • @@TheDomLouis Your logic is right. I think the guy is getting RNC'd within 5 secs every time, so he's lost hope on everything else. Unlocking the body triangle (at least once already fully locked in place) usually takes a bit of time that he assumes he won't have.
