Bro holy shit fuck. This is gold. This was so good. Pure craftsmanship. Hours of filing and sanding. This is the best type of restoration content that I like. When u were sanding the top with different papers it became more and more shiny. As it got smoother I felt like you sanded and polished and purified my soul with each sand paper

Just wondering if it could/should be heat treated to harden the top surface? It seems a little soft and was easily filed and polished.
Well It really was soft and easy to file . My guess is that it's all mild steel because it's cheap hobby tool . And most likely even if I try to harden it , it will not work due to lack of carbon. Anyways now I use it as a display stand for one of my Warhammer miniatures :D

У меня такая же, вылизал ее, загрунтовал, покрасил автокраской...Стоит сейчас на полочке в гараже - жалко стучать на ней...

Отреставрировал наковальню, которая и так была вполне нормальной ,но все равно молодец ,получилось красиво
у меня дома валяется точно такая же))
