  • Killing the Pontiac line still proves to be one of the worst decisions GM has made. I miss these cars....

    • It’s ok, they are killing off their cars in general. Little miss rainy day ... some liked those cars a lot. The fiero has a cult following because it was a mid engine car, it was also used for ‘ferrari’ kit cars. Just because YOU didn’t like something, doesn’t mean no one did. I don’t like a lot of fucking cars, especially today, but people like what they do, even sunfires; but being disingenuous ignoring all the great pontiacs over the century is really short sighted. 70s classics that went up against its Cadillac brethren like the bonneville, or performance like gto. KITT was a trans am. The Bandit drove a trans am. I’m guessing you are under 30 if you can’t think of anything but those cars ;)

    • Definitely agree! My 1st car was a brand new 2002 Pontiac GT with some mods that brought it too 220hp and yes the best part of the car was the rumbling exhaust. I hope GM brings Pontiac back like Chrysler brought back the Pacifica.

We are very spoiled this day n age. We have family sedans with 700+ hp, elec sedans that run 10s in quarter and 2.5 0-60, like shit!!!! What’s next???? Crazy....do you guys agree???

    • Agreed. I find it kinda sad actually. I miss the days when 500hp was rare and quite impressive. When nearly every car on the road has crazy performance abilities it basically kills the buzz. It's too mainstream and no longer special. Cars with 1,000hp should be left to the drag strip and require hella mods to create. Anything over 600hp in a street sportscar meant to be driven daily seems pointless.

Now, they are old and you can get them currently for about 7-11k depending on condition. I agree that you really dont need more HP. These were in the 300 hp range. Just put in a HP cam and new exhaust and you can have that awesome idle sound like you were enjoying at the stop light. It'll put a smile on your face every time.

    • 02 Convertible Ws6 was around 32k, 02 SSEi was around 34k. That's a good illustration of the difference in regular car values vs potentially classic car prices. No one is looking to buy a Bonneville as a classic car. Although I still fuckin love mine, regardless.

    • I bought a super clean 95 Camaro with a V6 5speed for 2,000 Canadian $ . When the engine goes it will be replaced with a junkyard LS . These cars are horribly undervalued , unless they were a special model . And that makes no sense at all , Try finding one for sale . My 88 RS was stolen and never recovered , because to the right person they are worth a lot . Insurance only paid 3,200 $ for a car i couldn't even find a replacement for . Even my 95 handles like a boat compared to the 88 RS , that car was the best handling car i've ever driven .

It was too much power for her so I took it off her hands and had a good friend do some mods bringing the rear wheel hp to 430 per dyno. Daily driver for 13 years, put just over 226,000 miles on it.
