The Mandalorian did more justice for Luke than the sequel trilogy did
But the sequel trilogy wasn't about giving Luke justice. A large part of the sequels was about falling and then rising. Ben fell to the dark side then rose out of it. Luke fell to moral ambiguity when he was afraid of Ben's power, but then rose out of it by the end of the movie to redeem himself. If we only get what we want from movies instead of being challenged by the story's themes and messages, what is the point of them in the first place. The Last Jedi didn't feel like traditional Star Wars, but what's so bad about that?

What I loved about this season (and The Mandalorian in general) is the elaboration on the Sand People and their society. It makes them more interesting and relatable compared to before when they were portrayed as just heartless killers.
Seeing Ahsoka Tano in live action was everything I wanted after hearing she was going to be in this season.

When I was watching the season two finale with my family I jokefully said “what if that x-wing is Luke’s” half a minute later and I was bouncing in my seat barely containing my excitement.

When I saw the Jedi in the halls, I had all kinds of theories rushing through my mind as to who it could be. Ahsoka? Mace? Luke? I had no idea. That is, until I saw that emerald blade and black gloved hand. I nearly pissed myself in shock.

LOL! I don't know about anybody else but the worry face and manners of the frog lady really touched me. I felt for her so much when Din told her there wasn't anything they can do until daylight and for her to get some sleep. She was so worried and it was so sad.

It is beyond my imagination that this series has come to pass. In 1976 I remember thinking during the bicentennial celebrations, what ever happened to that movie I saw the trailer for with the spaceships and stuff.. Most people had forgotten about those early Star Wars trailers Then it unleashed itself in 1977 and nothing was ever the same for me again. I saw Star Wars 37 times that year and stood in a mile long line for each showing. Since the original trilogy I have watched program after program continuing the Star Wars story but nothing that came along had the same feels for me as the original trilogy. Until now. The Mandalorian is the Star Wars of the original series. It gives me those feels. Thank you Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni for giving me my childhood back if only briefly I can never repay you for this, you will have my undying gratitude until the end of my days.
It just clicked with me! The reason Grogu likes the shiny ball from the Razorcrest cockpit? He remembers R2. It has a familiar, comforting pattern to him. It's like a vague childhood memory for him, indistinct, but strong. That's why he connects with the shiny ball with the blue decals. Grogu is recalling the kindly quirky R2 droid from his early years in the Jedi Temple. Oh man, Filoni really has outdone himself. The depth and levels to this series are just awesome.

Everyone’s favorite character was Han Solo from the original but my favorite was always Luke and I’ve waited my whole life to see Luke kick some serious ass. Also a plus was seeing boba fett kick ass. Like Robert Rodriguez said fans have waited their entire life to see Boba Fett in action and I wasn’t going to disappoint. So thank you Dave and Jon for making me feel like a kid again.

@@Alvaro89Rus Human life seems to be worth much less in Star Wars, like how hundreds stormtroopers get slaughtered every single episode in Rebels, a kids show. The Mandalorians in general are known for being fairly ruthless, and Bo Katan seemed like one of the tamer Death Watch members. So while yes, she was involved in a terrorist group, she likely only joined Death Watch because she wanted to return to the old ways and they were the only organised group.

I know it's not strictly relevant but that Shoretrooper with the "What the hell did I just walk into?" body language is just a great comedic cut in that scene with Mayfield and Hess.

Totally agree with the top 3. Though I would’ve put the dark saber battle in place of the spiders. I keep coming back to that Boba Fet action scene. And that whole last scene with Luke showing up and Din showing Grogu his face gave me all the chills and tears. And R2 just made me even more emotional. I mostly held it together until Luke started walking away with Grogu and he and Din just kept maintaining eye contact until the last moment with Luke making sure Grogu got one last look at his father figure. It took me several days to recover after that. And the audio description made it even worse. First time I cried from this show. Even when Ahsoka showed up. I didn't care for the spider episode and might have replaced that with one of Fennec's moments, or better yet, the seismic charges :) (I love that you mentioned Anakin's podracer though. That was a fun nod.) Or maybe learning Grogu's name/story? Or Teva's moment with Cara, scored to that lovely arrangement of March of the Resistance? Ok, who cried when Grogu left Mando in the season 2 final?? I did I hope for more Ahoska but with her horns and head-tails longer just like in Rebels. It would also be cool to see her and Luke together, telling him about her's and Anakin relationship, as he was like a big brother to her. If Ahsoka does get a spinoff, it should end with her death as Rey heard her spirit's encouragement. As Luke's entry was surprising, the next and all-season finale should be like that for us all. I like the list, but for me, I will remove the spider one from 6th because I didn't feel like it was a moment, I will move up Bilburr snaps from 7th to 6th and put something else in 7th. Maybe Ahsoka saying Thrawn, razorcrest destroyed. But I definitely want to add Mando vs. Moff or Mando vs. Darktrooper somewhere in the higher part of the list saying Mando uses Beskar spear or something.
