Heavy Rain Wreak Havoc Across the UAE, Scientists Suspect El Nino Effect | Vantage with Palki Sharma
Heavy rains and thunderstorms swept through the United Arab Emirates, forcing schools and many offices to be shut down. Parts of Dubai were flooded and several flights were cancelled. It comes just two weeks after the Gulf country saw record rainfall. Scientists suspect that the excessive rainfall could have been caused due to the El Nino conditions prevalent in the equatorial Pacific Ocean. They point out that many past episodes of record-breaking rainfall have occurred during El Nino years. El Nino is the warmer than normal phase of the El Nino Southern Oscillation phenomenon that occurs in the equatorial Pacific Ocean and is generally responsible for heavier than usual rainfall in West Asia, especially during March and April.

Nonsense, as if UAE is only suffering this kind of natures wrath. What about south east Asia dying under the scorching heat n humidity that has never felt much this before?. The climate is getting worse in the coming years and scientists has kept warning about the effects of global warming more than 20 years ago. Countries are still not much doing about to fight climate change instead they care only to invest on more wars, weapons and mining all the times.
