"Kings of the World" is a new film about the world of Gipsy music in Southern France. The clip features Gipsy Royale guitarist Mario Regis, Andre Reyes and Canut singing and some wonderful scenes of the life they lead in this unique world of music.

I am a Korean that moved to US in 1990s. My father and his family escaped the war and moved down to South Korea during 1950 Korea war. I am a normad and my family from father side as well. They eventually left South Korea and settled down in every place in the world.. This music shares our heart somehow who was forced to leave their home and wander in this world.. I love the Gipsies (Gitan) and their musics as they reflect our hearts.. In the end, we all don't belong to this world but somewhere eternal. The music is GREAT and their souls too..

America imposed an economic blockade on Iraq! The people have been afflicted with hunger, poverty and deprivation of their most basic civil rights...Schools and universities are destroyed, teaching is below the zero line and homelessness

I am Italian and our family used Romani blessings and even had a gypsy phrase that my mother said to all of the kids to get us to eat. Flamenco speaks to deep places in all of us that are hard to verbalize.
Wow , just look at them, all the young girls dancing Flamenco style and children being taught guitar by their kin, with men on horseback, it’s a CULTURE. Out modern culture is selfishness and consumerism, and this gypsy lifestyle is so REFRESHING to see. Bless you all. And thank you for your passion and creativity.

I left Baghdad and immigrated to Europe. I was 15 years old and lonely without family or friends... I left Iraq and decided to go to Europe... The decision was very difficult and dangerous!! But I decided to leave and risk the odds in order to live like the rest of mankind in freedom and peace....Iraq was an unbearable hell to live in...wars and internal and external problems, the country was collapsing and the economy is below zero. There are two good things to die from. Hunger or be killed like this life was..so this music reminds me in my country of Iraq the wounded that runs through my veins even when I am far from it, Baghdad all my memories and my childhood I hope to return to you one day ... Pour ma part, sans tuto, j'ai lu et relu la vidéo en boucle afin d'essayer de repiquer les différents accords, dans la mesure du possible bien sûr ! Dans ce morceau on retrouve quelques accords des titres "Un Hombre" et de sa reprise de "Ne t'en va pas". Soy brasileño, tengo ascendencia argentina, con un bisabuelo de origen español, no tuve mucho contacto con mis parientes de ese lado, de la familia de mi padre. Solo un poco en mi infancia. Tonino, Diego y Paco Baliardo hijos del maestro "Manitas de plata" . Me perdí de la historia, ya que sigo al grupo y nunca escuchado de que Bambino, gracias el dato. Talentoso al igual que Tonino.
Andres es magnifico , y sus voz viene natural , pero la voz de Canut , o Dios , es colosal , tiene una vibracion que viene recto dientro del corason y del alma ! Nunca no se encuentra voces tan vibrante y especiales como ser la voces de los hermanos Reyes , de los Gipsy Kings ! Saludos desde Romania , primos y hermanos de lo mismo sangre calo !

This group changed my life when it was the subject of a soap opera here in Brazil. It just made me see and hear music differently. When I listen to Gipsy Kings it makes me miss some unknown place but in spirit I have been there. Esse grupo mudou minha vida quando foi o tema de uma novela aqui no Brasil. Simplesmente me fez ver e ouvir música de outra forma. Quando escuto Gipsy Kings me faz sentir saudades de algum lugar desconhecido mas em espirito eu já estive lá.

@Baby's Vaquero Rubio admiro profundamente la cultura gitana porque ellos viven aislados del mundo cruel y perverso que sólo valora a las personas por lo que tienen y no por lo que son. Un mundo donde desde los tiempos más remotos siempre hubo guerras para tener más poder terrenal, que en definitiva es lo que menos dura. Un mundo que se mueve por el dinero, que destruye todo a su paso, salvo algunas pocas excepciones honorables. Los "gipsy" viven venerando la naturaleza y la vida misma. Pasan los siglos y conservan sus costumbres, lo que los hace inmortales a través de los tiempos. Lamentablemente no pertenezco a esa bellísima comunidad por lo tanto es casi imposible tener acceso o establecer vínculos afectivos, pero lo compenso escuchando a estos genios de la música flamenca en todo su esplendor. Y es cierto, una guitarra en sus manos se convierte en algo mágico. La misma magia que transmiten con las manos cuando bailan. (No sé nada de francés pero con el traductor pude decifrar tus últimas palabras). Muchas gracias por el reconocimiento.

El gesto del maestro bik, durante el video de darle su guitarra al niño, es conmovedor, propio de un MAESTRO, le traslada su alma al muchacho, genial...asi me sentia cuando mi Maestro me daba su guitarra para que la tocara..
Los niňos son los nietos de Birk. Se lo dice al niňo al inicio del documental (Arte) : "Manita de Plata,? Sabes quien es? Es el que tocó la guitarra en la boda del abuelo y de la Dyaya" (abuela). Pasa a explicar que los niňos al flamenco "lo maman" como a la leche, y luego aparece la escena que cuentas, en que le pasa la guitarra al niňo y les enseña el acorde Mi mayor.
