$1400 for a 11” iPad?? thats freaking insane, i don't care how good is the OLED display is you can buy a whole MacBook Pro with M1 Pro chip which is much better than any iPad period.
So other side people not counting money then they good> so garbage like keyboard and trackpad (it’s like mouse you like was born in 1920?) Apple Pencil it’s all you must need soon ) so by using less things and work less-it’s also using environment values-you save planet and people time^so stop waste time on questions) have love and enjoy! Also the Titanik of all technologies it’s Apple Vision Pro! With new pen! That going work on gps without any delay
MacBook Pro with M1 is better if you want a laptop. Last I checked, the MacBook wasn’t great for sketching with an Apple Pencil, or hanging it with a couple magnets off your fridge for a recipe. And with an OLED screen, its certainly going to be better for general purpose media consumption
No, cause it’s gonna have the M3/ M3 Pro Chip - and a touchscreen. And iPad can replace you’re MacBook in most cases

@@davidjacobs6244 Technically you can run MacOS on iPads via thin-clients eg Cloud PC. The other solutions are side-loading to emulate and if Apple allowed it virtualization unlock on the hardware. Finally given hardware improvements, M3 or M4 will be able to run both iPadOS and MacOS wither alternatively or simultaneously. So even now your statement is wrong with respect to being not fully correct and will be fully wrong in a matter of 12-24 months quite possibly.
They won’t do it meaning that I am keeping my 2020 IPad Pro. All I use my iPad for is notes anyway I use my 16- inch MacBook Pro M2 Max for everything else so yea forget about that $1800 iPad that’s completely insane.

You don’t need to have a glass back for wireless charging; you either have a non-metal area where the charging coil is, or put the charging coil on the outside of the case.

Hi there, I love your informative YT videos. I have a question about the Magic Keyboard. I have an iPad Air and a MacBook Air M2 chip model 2023. I use a Logitech Folio Touch KB as well as a Logi MX Anywhere 3S mouse with the iPad. The problem that I have is that when my left thumb touches the upper L/H corner of the Logi trackpad, the iPad takes that as a trackpad swipe action and the cursor moves and sometimes even switches apps. Since I prefer to use the mouse 100% instead of the trackpad, I would like to disable the trackpad completely when I am using the mouse. The Mac has this option under SysSetts>accessibility> Ignore built-in trackpad when mouse or wireless trackpad is present

I'm really excited for the new iPad Pro, but I hope the price increase won't be as wild as some people are predicting. There's no chance I'll buy it for that price, no matter how big of an upgrade it may be. Still, I can't wait to see a redesigned iPad Pro.
The only redesign I'm really interested in is the 15" or 16" iPad Pro. I have a 2022 12.9" iPad Pro and it works fine. Getting a new one that isn't bigger wouldn't be a big step up.
why would they make a 13 inch model, at that point go all the way to 15" or at the very least 14" if theyre gonna upsize

Actually a cheaper iPad makes more sense. A laptop doesn’t replace a tablet (for me at least)

Cameras on iPad open up photography to many more people. People who may not be able to use an iPhone due to age or disability. Also the cameras provide additional functionality such as document scanning and turning the iPad into large digital magnifier. I have the 2021 12.9” pro and and couldn’t imagine my daily life without it. It’s so much better for scanning documents (easier to hold still compared to an iPhone), and using the iOS magnifier on such a big display is incredible. Before the iPad got cameras, I and many other partially sighted people needed separate digital magnifiers, and document scanners/readers. These were specialist devices designed for and aimed at low vision users, and because of the limited market they were extremely expensive compared to the cost of even an iPad Pro. Fitted with the exact same cameras, an iPad will be better for taking photos and videos. The larger device is easier to hold, less susceptible to motion and the larger screen not only gives you a bigger viewfinder to frame your shot but also allows for more controls and live sensor information to be on screen e.g. histogram.
Who uses an IPad for photography. At that point just use a DSLR/ DSLM
@@mr.morales0707 DSLRs / DSLMs are no better for people with low vision or dexterity issues than an iPhone, actually worse in due to the even smaller display, density of mass, and even fewer accessibility features. An iPad distributes its mass over a larger area making it easier to keep stable when taking photos, the larger screen makes framing compositions easier, and accessibility features help identify or describe the composition / items in frame. The only objections towards using iPads for photography seem to come from elitists and ableists, who can’t see beyond their own use cases or world view.

I really wish they would consider a dual boot option of ipad and Mac OS. It would give the user the choice to function as a tablet or a laptop. That way the price increase wouldn’t sting so bad.
Honestly anything other than just iPadOS would be amazing

@@SynthD same, i put my ipad in between my bed and wall and it was charging but then the charging brick fell onto the power button and broke the glass of the touch id button

For this normal I am happy with my current Apple iPad for content consumption. When will I replace it? Just like most normals will not replace my iPad until it is at least five years old. That said still like watching these clips.

I was planning on getting a new 11” ipad pro assuming it was under £1k but theres no way i’m playing £1.5k… hopefully the air will be much more reasonably priced!!
Any iPad for most tasks is a better buy that full price current gen retail. If want a medium for longevity then M1 iPad is best buy either Air or Pro-11" which are 1-2 gens behind M3 now so refurb is better price as it does just about everything you need. Only thing making M3 new iPads any good or even M2 would be running MacOS functions/features. Without that you're paying for hardware you cannot fully use even the case with M1 tbh.

I understand why consumers want the reallocation of the front facing camera from portrait to landscape orientation, and it’s simply because they are used to it with other devices. However, I particularly prefer the current version. I’ve been remote teaching for the past years with the 2021 M1 iPad Pro on landscape mode. I keep my student’s FaceTime window on the top left corner, and when I look at it, since the camera is near that location, it seems like I am looking directly at my student. In contrast, when I use the 15” macbook air, when I look at my student’s window, it seems like I’m looking down at the screen instead. On another note, I’m really excited for the OLED panel!

Best Buy has the iPad Air discontinued $150 but the other iPads are the normal price. In the past they, Best Buy, has discounted iPads just before a new one is released.
2 thoughts. I honestly don’t think the price increase will be as insane as they said. If there’s a price increase, it’ll be like they did for the recent iPhone 15 Pro, where it gets a small price bump, but it’s offset by an increase in base storage. The second thing is regarding iPadOS. I know some of tech guys are all about wanting MacOS on the iPad…I honestly don’t want that…not without a huge overhaul of MacOS. I would like some improvements on iPadOS, but most of that is with wanting developers to release their full apps on the iPad, like Photoshop. There’s no reason why it can’t be on there. But I come from the direction of an illustrator who uses a iPad only (I go months without touching a mac, it’s used to stream videos as I work on artwork)

no I think glass an iPad would be way too heavy. I hope they don't go that route, I personally don't see how wireless charging is more convenient. But rather more noise since it falls off easier. You're expecting your devices to charge your cat comes along and bumps the cord off the device, with USB-C it's much more convenient now to charge

This would price these iPads at 16” MacBook Pro prices. It’s crazy. The micro LED already prices out the same as the previos 13’ MacBook Pro but then you have to buy the keyboard. I won’t be upgrading. I love the micro LED.
The problem I have with iPad is iPad iOS… Not necessarily that it should be macOS…. But it would be nice to be able to have multiple profiles on iPad like you can with Mac. I can purchase one Mac for my household and everyone can have their Apple account on it. As expensive as iPad is… You should be able to have multiple Apple accounts on it… Period

I was surprised when I saw that the 12.9" iPad Pro (6th Generation) has display resolution of 2,732 x 2,048. I would hope that the new iPad Pro will have a full 3,840 x 2,160. I hate having "bars" above and below a 16:9 4K UHD Video. I am sure there are smarter people on this topic than me. I would love to hear what others think on this screen "real estate" issue and what the resolution of the new display could be.

Hey. So… a couple actually means two. From now to April is a lot more than two weeks. Two months, yes. I think you’re a couple weeks behind with this video too. Great quality content though. I might still get the bigger screen model with the entry storage. External ssd are a lot cheaper than what apple charges for. 256gb to 512gb upgrade is $100. Where as an ssd from Best Buy is 2tb for the same $100. Plus I can use the drive on any other iPad iPhone or laptop. The main difference has always been the RAM as in you get more RAM when your get larger storage.
