What's on my apple watch series 7? Let me show you!
I am so excited to share my favourite apps and features on my Apple Watch series 7 (41mm stainless steel) for productivity and wellness in this week's video! Hopefully, this is helpful for you if you have an apple watch but feel it isn't doing as much for you as you'd like, or if you're considering buying one! There are (in my opinion) the BEST apps for productivity and wellness in 2022 that are a must download and make a world of difference in the usefulness of an apple watch.
I also wanted to share my favourite watch faces and some general mindset tips that have worked for me. If you have ANY questions at all please leave them in a comment so I can do my best to help you out, and share this video with a friend who has or wants an apple watch if you think it would benefit them!

  • I’ve had my Apple Watch SE for about 2-3 months now and when I tell you it has truly changed my life! Tracking my sleep was the important gain for me. It was such a reality shock to see how little sleep I was getting and with this data I turned around and improved my sleep tremendously! Also I love the Bear app I have it as a complication on my watch face and honestly GAME CHANGER. Whenever I have an idea or have a thought I want to jot down I click on the app thru the comp., use the voice entry option and viola it saves the note just like that. This has definitely made me SOOOOOOO much productive!! I’ve been interested in smartwatches for years and I finally caved in 2022 and I dont regret it!

  • I have a series 3 that I have had for over 4 years. I love it. My most used functions on it are the Activity app, Timer, volume and audio controls, and the ping to find my phone (although that feature has made me very lazy in looking for my phone, several times I have pinged my phone and it’s been in my back pocket.) I also love that I can screen texts without picking up my phone. At work I get a lot of time sensitive texts and don’t always have my phone on me. Another thing I love is wearing the watch allows me to keep my phone on silent all the time. Any alert I get is a buzz on my wrist instead of a loud noise for everyone to hear.

    @cori2356@cori23562 жыл бұрын
    • Oh nice! I’m hoping my watch will last me a long time. I haven’t taken my phone off of silent for years and I just dealt with not even realizing I was missing calls or texts but it’s definitely better to be notified with a vibration on my wrist then to realized that I’ve missed an important call hours later lol

  • I have the Apple Watch Series 6 and I got it because of the Fall Down feature. I walk with a cane and for me falling is scary and can be really really dangerous. So the idea that I could get rescued should I be alone sold me. But also the medical features in general with keeping track of my heart rate and Blood Oxygen levels and even the ECG app. As a disabled person it really is a lifesaver. My favorite thing though is the ability to change watch faces bc my moods change so much lol

      @PlantBasedBride@PlantBasedBride Жыл бұрын
  • The reason that sold me the Apple Watch series 7 were primarily my dogs, because sometimes it’s scary at night when you have to walk them and in general, it’s easier to have your mobile device strapped to your wrist than to bring your phone (scared of robbery or just losing it). What sold me this specific generation was the advanced medical measurements. Lately German tv shows the ad where the biker has fallen and the watch called emergency service due to not responding, and it really gives me comfort knowing that this device will help me when I need it or am not able to help myself 💖

  • ⏰ I recently got a Garmin Lily smart(-ish) watch, since I've got an Android phone. I didn't want apps as such, just to go from a watch AND a fitness band (I was using the Bellabeat Leaf Urban) to a single device. I love it more than I expected, and resonate with a lot of what you said - timers are amazing, I still have a silent vibrating alarm on my wrist to wake up to, I can quickly see important notifications and device whether a response is necessary in the moment. I also use it to track my workouts and my period (which I often forget to track in my bujo). It also has a cool feature of a morning report when you wake up, which includes the weather and your calendar for the day. It's really slotted right into my life and improved it in small but noticeable ways 😊

  • I have an Apple Watch 6, currently, but I’ve had a Watch for about 4 years (I’ve upgraded throughout the years) and honestly I love it. My mother and I use the Walkie Talkie app and it makes me feel like I’m in Spy Kids (dating myself lol) it’s nice to be able to ask her a quick question and get an answer right away, plus it makes me feel connected to her since I live about 160km away from her. Although it’s hilarious and embarrassing when she talks to me in the middle of class and it’s super silly (like we are) I use a lot of other apps too, if you want me to list those, but honestly I feel lost when I’m not wearing it

    • Oh I love that! My husband and I use the walkie talkie app but I haven’t been able to convince my parents to get Apple watches yet. I would love to hear about the other apps you use if you don’t mind sharing! I’m still learning all of the awesome things it can do 🥰

      @PlantBasedBride@PlantBasedBride2 жыл бұрын
    • @@PlantBasedBride I don’t mind sharing at all! My mother uses the Fall Detection because she is very unsteady on her feet, so if she falls, I get a notification. I also use the Forrest App on my phone and watch so I can use the Pomodoro method for working on projects or homework. I use Calm for short meditations in between classes. I also use the app My Water to track my water intake (I’m really bad at it)

  • What is the learning curve on Apple Watches? Is it very intuitive? I am interested in one, but not sure if I’ll be overwhelmed by learning how to use and manage yet another digital device. You make really good arguments, though. All these points you bring up are very relevant to my life, as well. Thank you for this analysis, Elizabeth! 💕

    • I'm so glad you found the video informative! There's definitely a bit of a learning curve, but I'd say it's more in terms of finding what works for you/how it fits into your life rather than how to set it up or use it. It's pretty intuitive!

  • I always wanted the Apple Watch since original launch day. But my fiancé talked me into waiting to see if a better version was coming out. So I waited until November 2016. I got the rose gold Apple Watch series 2 in 38mm. At the time I thought my watch should match my phone. I had that watch until October 2018. I upgraded to series 4 only because I wanted cellular service on my watch for work. I had that watch until September 2020 and got the series 6 in the 44mm. I only upgraded from series 4 to series 6 because I wanted the bigger Watch size. I have several Apple products and wanted everything to be Apple and all sync together. I thought the bigger size would be to big on my small wrist but it actually is not. And I do hit it a lot at my job. But it stills in great condition it does have a few scratches on the screen but you can’t really see it or feel them.

  • I’m just a novelist, but I am old and sickly and also accident-prone, and as if that’s not enough, I also have a panic disorder. (I know, I cannot catch a break, right?) So the crash detection and fall detection are super useful for me, on top of the ECG and blood oxygen and heart rate. Knowing that my vitals are getting abnormal helps prevent me from flying all over the coop. And if I do faint because of super low blood oxygen caused by a panic-induced hypoxemia, I know my watch will call for help.

  • I have a Fitbit Versa which doesn't have as much function and compatible apps as an Apple Watch but it has just enough for me. I can do voice replies to text messages which is really cool. I also really love using my Fitbit as an alarm to wake me up in the morning! It's incredible how the vibration is effective as an alarm! The Spotify app is also useful, especially if I'm commuting and I don't want to take out my cellphone to change songs or playlists. I wish it had more apps like maybe for Overdrive/Libby though. And the Fitbit pay app doesn't support my bank which is a big letdown.
