Ratchet is the saddest compared to Ironhide imo Ironhide made me angry and it was a twist, Ratchet’s confusion and fear and his loyalty to Optimus with the promise of helping humans making him shoot only at the last moment is what got me. The way he went out was tragic. Ironhide was still sad but it was more shocking and honestly it was quicker. Ratchet was chipped away piece by piece and it was horrible to watch 😢

TF VEGE: *gives the saddest death to Starscream* He was a good character. Over time, he slowly gained the traits of the G1 counterpart. Wished they kept his 2007 traits, being a foe to be reckoned with, and adding the cybertronian tattoos in the first movie to look menacing

For me, Optimus death was saddest. I thought he was going to win the Forest battle by himself, but i was truly shovked that Optimus died and didn't win. I was like WHAT?!?! NOOO!!!!

Tbf, it was a 3v1 *whilst* he was trying to protect Sam. In a 3v1 with nothing to protect, he would've destroyed both the helicopter (forgot his name) and Starscream at the very least and he would've inflicted severe damage to Megatron. Megatron was right in calling him weak, because protecting something prevents him from going all-out.

Ironhides death left me in shock, but i will never forget ratchets' death, i remember sitting at home watching it on the tv for the first kinda hard to see at first but when i saw the medical truck and heard Ratchets voice my heart sunk and when they killed him i cyryed
I felt sorry for Ratchet, he must have felt hurt at seeing the ones he cared for want to kill him. And sentinel killing Ironhide was transformers ultimate betrayal scene.

Honestly the 3 saddest deaths in my opinion, que, Ironhide, and ratchet. Ratchet and Que’s deaths were just old men begging for their lives, except ratchet probably suffered the most pain. Ironhide’s death, if you look closely, you can see that he had to stare at his body turn to dust, and it was just sad in general. Starscream on the other hand, I wouldn’t call his death “sad.” I mean when I saw it I thought to myself,” WOW, okay, he’s dead as fuck.” Yeah he was a cool character in G1, but just talking about the bayverse, he didn’t really do much, I don’t think he killed a single cybertronian the whole time he was alive(while we saw him) it wasn’t sad for me.
Even though Starscream is a bad guy his death was just painful since you could hear the fear he was exerting in that “I can’t see! I can’t see!”

Hadn't watched transformers series until I saw 4 on the cinema and what I first saw was a good looking robot(Ratchet) being absolutely slaughtered by humans and Lockdown. I felt horrible sad sad eventhough I didn't know this character back then.

Sam and Starscream weren’t sad, they were funny. 😂I laughed at Starscream flailing around crying ow ow ow ow I can’t see. Jetfire’s, while sad, was also hilarious. 😂dude brought the pain like a badass while literally falling apart. 😂😂😂😂glorious. Ironhide and Ratchet were very sad, but Prime’s just hit so much harder.

Watching ironhide die when i was 9 was upsetting to say the least...still is over 15 years later. But now Jetfire is the most respected and loyal Transformer for me...he gave his life for the better....he made mistakes in the past and hated himself for it. I feel him on a personal level
I even understand the fact that literally Starscream is a Decepticon and everything but wow he suffered a lot and what gave me the most agony was the fact that he was screaming and hitting himself in places

I couldn't believe they actually killed Ratchet in the movies. I grew up watching different animated shows. Ratchet was almost always a lead character. It made this worse. Not only did they kill him off, but the writers gave him an absolutely heartbreaking and horrific death.

He was trying to negotiate with the deception’s to even go as far as saying alright we are prisoners let’s talk it out. 2: Ratchet: He was confused as to why his once allies turned on him and he wouldn’t give up his friend’s location. 3 ironhide. He should be number one and yeah it was unexpected and his was pretty sad but emotionally Wheeljack and ratchets are sadder than Ironhie in my opinion. 4. Jetfire: He sacrificed himself to help Optimus save the humans and earth. 5: Jazz: His wasn’t as sad. For me it was just a damn. ( This is my top 5 for the saddest deaths. All in order to my opinion )

So, I’ve never really been into transformers so I don’t know if there’s an explanation for this, but why do Cybertronians seem so easy to kill? Like even against man-made weapons, they just seem so damn brittle and like they go down so quick. Is there a reason in some version of the lore why that is? Or is that exclusive to the Bay films just to be more over the top and spectacular?
