It was such a life-changing experience getting to create this from start to finish. When the song “Home” first came out with the rest of the “Coming Home” EP album in June 2022, my director, Angelica Bourland, came to me with the glorious concept of shooting a video for this song underwater. Two years later, and at the beginning of a whole new album release cycle, I knew that we needed to bring this song back to life in this new, reimagined way, and actually follow through with Angelica’s original vision for the video.
I asked her, “Angelica, why underwater?”
She replied, “Because it symbolizes the mother’s womb.”
I was floored at the sheer genius of this concept, considering what the song is about. She truly knew how to tell this impactful story through these visual concepts.
“I know the perfect underwater cinematographer to work with” Cue Phoebe Fitz - and the rest is history!
I am beyond blessed to work with such creative, talented geniuses every day, as we bring these songs to life with the art of cinematography, now one of my biggest passions alongside music!
