Want to learn everything about the Miniature Pinscher dog breed? Watch this video and learn more about the Miniature Pinscher.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Developed several hundred years ago in Germany, this small, short-haired dog looks like a miniature Doberman Pinscher. With its sturdy and muscular body, the Miniature Pinscher is a fine example of a toy dog.
Do you consider purchasing a Miniature Pinscher? In this video you will learn everything about the breed based on 8 topics, so you can find out if this dog is best for you.
What this breed lacks in stature they more than makeup for with their active and loving personality. The phrase ‘big dog stuck in a small dog’s body’ is particularly fitting for the Miniature Pinscher. This type of breed seems to be well aware of its short and light body, however, it acts as if it has the strength and physical presence of its taller look-like, the Doberman Pinscher.
The Miniature Pinscher loves to play around with children and get up to all sorts of troubles. Due to their small size, younger children should be supervised to ensure they do not injure these small dogs.
This breed can grow up to 12 inches, which is 30 centimeters and weigh up to 10 pounds and sometimes even more, which is 4.5 kilograms.
The average price for Irish Wolfhounds is 1,100 dollars. And if you are looking for a dog with superior lineage you should budget anywhere from $900 upwards to $1300 or even more. Also consider that you have to pay an average of 700 dollars a year for vet bills, food, toys, leashes and much more.

  • I had a Min Pin for 15 years. Loved caring for him. He was funny, playful and very Loving. Devoted and loyal. He kept me busy. He loved to entertain.. he kept me laughing with his antics. Then afterwards he would snuggle on my lap.. Yes he was a big dog in a little dog's body. He was my Special little friend. He is deeply missed.

    • Oh I’m so sorry. I lost mine 3 weeks ago. I ow Ed his mom and dad but since he was born in my hand and would curl up and sleep on my hair at night, he was my bad at and I miss him so much. I love this breed and I don’t think I will ever own anything but a min pin. I was going to wait to get a new dog but I ran across a 6 mo old female for a great price at a rescue and I’d rather get a rescue dog but min pins are hard to find so I don’t think I can turn this one down. She’s only 6 month old and a fawn/ dark tan color. All my others were Black and Tans..I love that color best but if I can get this girl I will. I hope you are able to get a new dog once you feel ready but I’m sure like how I feel the lost ones will always hold a special place in our hearts ♥️.

  • My Min Pin is certainly still a ratter. We live on a farm and we've trained him to chase off the rats and squirrels. In all honesty it didn't take much to teach him that, he's better than any cat. The breed is very intellegent and quirky. Chico knows to case the rats and squirrels and to alert to armadillos but won't mess with our chicks. He has learned to open doors somehow but will bump the doors to ask permission to enter the bedroom. He knows he's allowed on the furniture but not our bed unless he's invited. Oddly enough his favorite spot in the house during summer is our food cabinet. He won't mess with the food but likes to hide on the second shelf which we've cleared for him. Sometimes a guest will walk in and be greeted by a barking cabinet which is always good for a laugh. He's also afraid of thunder (which is natrual) but loves fireworks to the extent he'll steal lit bottle rockets right out of the ground and consequently shoot you with them. They're odd little dogs but we love them.

  • This was mt first dog. I got her when I was 5. She was the craziest and quickest dog. She would jump from my top bunk without hesitation. And she would jump the wall in the backyard to explore during the day. Then she would come back before the sun went down and scratch at the front door. She also used to jump on the sliding back door about 4 feet in the air and all 4 paws would come in contact with the glass. She was super athletic and hilarious. She used to hide candy that was left over from birthday parties to eat later too 😂

  • Great little dog, grew up with one as a kid. It was the neighbors dog, but he let him roam free and he spent more time at our house than his own. Every thing said in the video is correct. He was a tough guy, playful, adventurous, protective, would attack and kill anything he could catch. We had to dig him out with a shovel a few times when he would go after prey in a tight spot or rat hole under the garage or barn. He did bark a lot, one time ALL NIGHT LONG when he had a opossum cornered in a lilac bush. He finally killed it, and when we buried it, he dug it up and ran off with its rotten tail in his mouth, like he had something special. He did not like the 4th of July, and would puke all over every time he heard the fireworks from well over a mile away. Heard he lived to something like 18years old. Buster!

He's a rescue from Spain to England..he can be a handful but I wouldn't change that.he gets on great with our 9month Jack Russel, they play so well together ..my wife couldn't bond with Charlie , and last Christmas we looked after a litter of Jack's for a friend,we couldn't let little Fergus go..but Charlie and Fergus are absolutely great together ..Charlie has become more to me than anything ,he's my companion...still has no recall though, so we have to take him to an enclosed field..let him off and he's gone ..he'll always come find us though after he's stretched his long legs ...brilliant dog for me

I rehab’d him, and he’s now on a medication, for life, but his kneecap hasn’t popped out of place, in years. It’s wild, that animals suffer many ailments, while getting older, just like us humans do. This breed needs a strong owner, as they will test you! It makes it hard, because they are so cute, but you have to remain consistent, or they will definitely take advantage 😅

  • Well done summary of the breed! I've owned 2 so far in my life and I want another one. The loving bond they give to their "person" is addictive. Boy dogs are great for an active and experienced female owner. They are not easy in some ways... there will be challenges. But the cuddly love, devotion, and playful intelligence is superior. Likewise a female dog for a male owner. The females are a little more calm and reasonable. But the owner should have some experience with dog training. I also recommend to anyone to get a puppy and raise them teaching bite inhibition, along with everything else, right away. Their instinct and breeding is to be tracking and catching rats with lightning speed. "Pinscher" means grabbing. I do not recommend adopting adult dogs if you don't know --for sure-- what their backstory is.

  • Interesting breed portrait of the Miniature Pinscher (In Europe: FCI - Fédération Cynologique Internationale, Standard 185). Fortunately, since 1998 it is forbidden in Germany to dock dogs' tails under severe penalty. Exceptions are amputations due to medical indication. Animals mutilated in this way are not recognised at international breed meetings.

Gunboy is going strong. Gwen, Gunboy’s one true love, passed from a broken neck after her leg fell asleep on the couch and she jumped off it. She was a dwarf and had a lot of issues, but she was a tough cookie and told you what’s what. She didn’t take crap of anybody. Gracie is a handful. She only knows how to communicate by yipping. Very skittish. She hates men. Each one has a vibrant and different personality.

  • Serious question here: would this be a good breed to use as a service dog for cPTSD? I originally wanted a dobie, but it's far too big for my life style as I can't drive and am a CS major college student. I would train it to alert me when it sees my panic attack coming so I can get away from ppl to calm down and have it lick at my hands to provide a grounding sensation to help pull me out of the attack. I'm scared of ppl 😭

  • I think the presenter overplays the downsides of min pins. They are relatively effortless dogs. Min Pins will show you lots of affection but if you hold then, and cuddle, that’s all they need. They eat voraciously, but they are otherwise very healthy dogs. They only like other German dogs (I know from experience and I don’t know why that is). Min Pins are like their greyhound cousins and mostly just chill. Some are hyper, but not most.

  • Love my 13 year furbaby, Zeus. So smart, loving and very energetic. However, they are runners and take off so they require lots of protection. Anyone who is thinking of getting one better have a well fenced in yard and a collar AND harness as they are escape from collars very easily.

    • If I took mine on a walk to somewhere he didn't want to go, he would slip his ear under the collar and look straight at me. The message was "I can leave any time I want." We kept him in a fenced back yard. One time we didn't let him in fast enough, so he escaped and knocked on the front door.

They were created to hunt vermin, so fitting in small places is a plus. They are great dogs. We had to adapt, but that's true with anyone else who lives with you, too.

    • I had a boy and a girl Min Pin, both came from the same place about a year apart. CJ was proud, energetic, loving, an escape artist, and protective. Mia loved to snuggle and sleep curdle up under my chin/side of my neck, she was milder, but she loved to play too. Training them requires different techniques. Also, when buying a collar, I recommend continuously checking 1st because their head is small, so it's effortless for them to slide out (I always had two different types).

  • Okay I seen this video years ago as Ive always wanted a miniature pinscher finally got me a boy he was being given up by a family as they needed to move to NC I felt bad at first but she insisted that its best as they cant take him and I was the only one to not BS them and drove from Arizona to Compo, California to meet them they paid over $1,500 for him had ears cropped also she gave me a really good deal $400 for him as they needed a home for him asap. Why did I not get one earlier well price mostly plus I wanted my big dogs first which is dobermans now I got my 2 dobermans 1girl and 1 boy now I can get my miniature pinscher got 1 boy now 1 year or 2 I will get a girl miniature pinscher. I love the pinsher breed ever since I was a kid and saw them in the alley in a neighbors back yard always loved the breed they had 2 dobermans and 2 miniature pinscher when I was little I just thought it was there puppies that just never grew haha lmfao. Still fantastic breed training is easy except he is male stubbornness runs deep in us male's lol. Now I feel like Mr. Dobermman from Germany with my badass looking dogs.

  • Sounds like I did everything wrong with my min pin and I have the aggressive, dominant, biting dog. Due to Covid I could not socialize him and I've been waiting for 2 months for a trainer that can't get to me for another month. I live in fear of my dog now. I have trained many dogs big and small and never had one so mean like this before. I rescued him and he must have had trauma as he is afraid of everything but comes out fighting. I have tried everything for this dog. Any advice??? He will be kind and show a second of love then he snaps and growls.
