▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Developed several hundred years ago in Germany, this small, short-haired dog looks like a miniature Doberman Pinscher. With its sturdy and muscular body, the Miniature Pinscher is a fine example of a toy dog.
Do you consider purchasing a Miniature Pinscher? In this video you will learn everything about the breed based on 8 topics, so you can find out if this dog is best for you.
What this breed lacks in stature they more than makeup for with their active and loving personality. The phrase ‘big dog stuck in a small dog’s body’ is particularly fitting for the Miniature Pinscher. This type of breed seems to be well aware of its short and light body, however, it acts as if it has the strength and physical presence of its taller look-like, the Doberman Pinscher.
The Miniature Pinscher loves to play around with children and get up to all sorts of troubles. Due to their small size, younger children should be supervised to ensure they do not injure these small dogs.
This breed can grow up to 12 inches, which is 30 centimeters and weigh up to 10 pounds and sometimes even more, which is 4.5 kilograms.
The average price for Irish Wolfhounds is 1,100 dollars. And if you are looking for a dog with superior lineage you should budget anywhere from $900 upwards to $1300 or even more. Also consider that you have to pay an average of 700 dollars a year for vet bills, food, toys, leashes and much more.

My baby Rocco just passed. He was 13 and he was extremely lovable and affectionate towards me. He was fiercely loyal and protective. I miss him him so much. He was an absolute joy.
My mini pincher is 17 and still going. He has so many problems but is still so lovey. He had a sister that passed at 13 by drowning. She had back leg problems as well. I love my dog I have right now

My dog Dino was about the same age, we raised him from a puppy to an old man. 11 years of love and loyalty. He just passed away this morning that’s why I’m watching these videos. Rest In Peace my boy 11/26/2010-05/03/2022
I had a Min Pin for 15 years. Loved caring for him. He was funny, playful and very Loving. Devoted and loyal. He kept me busy. He loved to entertain.. he kept me laughing with his antics. Then afterwards he would snuggle on my lap.. Yes he was a big dog in a little dog's body. He was my Special little friend. He is deeply missed.
Here in Brazil this is the third most common dog breed. People just love them
Just lost my 14 year old best friend two days ago and the eyes can't seem to dry up. I've had dogs of different kinds all my life, but this one has hit me the hardest. To all minpin owners, love and cherish every second with them, their love back to you is forever, but they're not.
Oh I’m so sorry. I lost mine 3 weeks ago. I ow Ed his mom and dad but since he was born in my hand and would curl up and sleep on my hair at night, he was my bad at and I miss him so much. I love this breed and I don’t think I will ever own anything but a min pin. I was going to wait to get a new dog but I ran across a 6 mo old female for a great price at a rescue and I’d rather get a rescue dog but min pins are hard to find so I don’t think I can turn this one down. She’s only 6 month old and a fawn/ dark tan color. All my others were Black and Tans..I love that color best but if I can get this girl I will. I hope you are able to get a new dog once you feel ready but I’m sure like how I feel the lost ones will always hold a special place in our hearts ♥️.
I just lost my min pin Monty today he was the best pet ever and loved him so much, he battled an enlarged heart for 6 months and lived a long 13 years ❤️ seeing all these beautiful stories really help me right now. Hope your doing well and same for your pup!
Lost mine at 13 in 2017, I hate to say that I have not cried harder for anyone else in my life. I got another minpin in 2019, Didn't take long for me to start loving him.
I agree with every word you said. I also had dogs ally life as well. Cherish them while they're here because they definitely give unconditional love all the time.
I’m sorry!😔
Min pins are little mini gods. Their cuteness is beyond our mere human existence.
My Min Pin is certainly still a ratter. We live on a farm and we've trained him to chase off the rats and squirrels. In all honesty it didn't take much to teach him that, he's better than any cat. The breed is very intellegent and quirky. Chico knows to case the rats and squirrels and to alert to armadillos but won't mess with our chicks. He has learned to open doors somehow but will bump the doors to ask permission to enter the bedroom. He knows he's allowed on the furniture but not our bed unless he's invited. Oddly enough his favorite spot in the house during summer is our food cabinet. He won't mess with the food but likes to hide on the second shelf which we've cleared for him. Sometimes a guest will walk in and be greeted by a barking cabinet which is always good for a laugh. He's also afraid of thunder (which is natrual) but loves fireworks to the extent he'll steal lit bottle rockets right out of the ground and consequently shoot you with them. They're odd little dogs but we love them.
I lost my lucky august 26 he was 13 from pancreatitis and diabetes I miss him so much I never thought I’d break down but it hit me like no other the holidays is very hard dogs are a blessing and love you like no other
This was mt first dog. I got her when I was 5. She was the craziest and quickest dog. She would jump from my top bunk without hesitation. And she would jump the wall in the backyard to explore during the day. Then she would come back before the sun went down and scratch at the front door. She also used to jump on the sliding back door about 4 feet in the air and all 4 paws would come in contact with the glass. She was super athletic and hilarious. She used to hide candy that was left over from birthday parties to eat later too 😂
I have a 9 year old minpin named Lucca. Super loyal and affectionate. Fiercely protective against strangers and other dogs. I do recommend not cropping ears and tail. You'll miss out on those floppy ears and curly tail.
Great little dog, grew up with one as a kid. It was the neighbors dog, but he let him roam free and he spent more time at our house than his own. Every thing said in the video is correct. He was a tough guy, playful, adventurous, protective, would attack and kill anything he could catch. We had to dig him out with a shovel a few times when he would go after prey in a tight spot or rat hole under the garage or barn. He did bark a lot, one time ALL NIGHT LONG when he had a opossum cornered in a lilac bush. He finally killed it, and when we buried it, he dug it up and ran off with its rotten tail in his mouth, like he had something special. He did not like the 4th of July, and would puke all over every time he heard the fireworks from well over a mile away. Heard he lived to something like 18years old. Buster!
Yea the barking...mine was super alert to unfamiliar noises, they could even differentiate footstep of family and strangers
I had one before he was such a wonder dog… he was truly a full size Doberman in his heart haha Loved him so much and miss him Tiny lived 10 years
My love and hugs go to all those people who have lost their little best friends 💖. We treat them as a member of our family and miss the love ❤️ they freely give us. It takes a long long time to deal with the loss.just take the mourning day by day.love to you all.
I just lost my minpin today his name was Monty, he was the kindest, calmest, and sweetest dog ever he had an enlarged heat and the doctors 6 months ago gave him a few weeks left to live but he was strong and battled it to this exact day. He will always have a special place in my heart ❤️ love you monty
RIP MONTY :(
Love going to my dads house and seeing all the min pins in his home. They all run up to you with so much love, really miss them
I still have and cherish an 16 year old female. Best companionship I have felt.
That's amazing. I'm sure you have done a great job with her diet. I hope she's still doing well. Take care.
My 16 year old Axel just passed on Christmas Eve….I just bought another one, a fawn color…I named her coco.
I adopted Ruby three years ago when she was said to be five. She is incredibly affectionate and more in tune with my emotions than any other pet that I"ve had and is so compassionate, I absolutely adore her>
I just had a min pin adopt me... lol! My son bought a rescue he'd been working with over to our house, because after a month it was working for the min pin... She just wasn't happy, calm and relaxed the way a dog should be... And He's very good with dogs. She adopted me and is blossoming.
I inherited my brother’s dog after he passed away. She was a good dog.
My mini never bit kids. But would bite adults. Mine was a houdini. Nice prance, he use to jump and spay his legs to be a big shot. When he slept with me out of nowhere he would bite my hand. It took 3 years for him to stop. All around a great dog. Everyone like him . They also are food freaks.
❤❤❤ Love my min pin her name is Penny! She will be 11years old next month January 2023. Very Loyal and Loving. I taught her several types of tricks, when she was very young and to this day; sign language tricks! Blessings to you all and their Min Pins! ♥️🕊
I have a red named Rolo (cause he is the same color as the candy) and he is the most amazing dog I've ever had. I got him while I was in the military. I wanted a macho looking dog that could fit in my tiny apartment. Weve been going strong for 10 years now and he hasn't slowed down a bit.
exactly that macho brave loving lil shytes they are 😂🥰
Glad I found this ..I have what I call a miniature pincer ..I don't call him a min pin as he still has his full tail and if far from small . He's a rescue from Spain to England..he can be a handful but I wouldn't change that.he gets on great with our 9month Jack Russel, they play so well together ..my wife couldn't bond with Charlie , and last Christmas we looked after a litter of Jack's for a friend,we couldn't let little Fergus go..but Charlie and Fergus are absolutely great together ..Charlie has become more to me than anything ,he's my companion...still has no recall though, so we have to take him to an enclosed field..let him off and he's gone ..he'll always come find us though after he's stretched his long legs ...brilliant dog for me
they are such great dogs full of personality! ❤
I ❤️ Min Pins!🐾

My Cooper is 9. It’s bittersweet, he’s getting more and more gray in the face 😭 He has the luxating patella, that the video talks about. I rehab’d him, and he’s now on a medication, for life, but his kneecap hasn’t popped out of place, in years. It’s wild, that animals suffer many ailments, while getting older, just like us humans do. This breed needs a strong owner, as they will test you! It makes it hard, because they are so cute, but you have to remain consistent, or they will definitely take advantage 😅
Very helpful thank you
My aunt owns one of these (they may be a mix all we know is they are part miniature pinscher) who is a 8 year old named Athena, Athena was originally owned by someone else who didn’t take care of her sadly, her old owner cropped their tail themself and didn’t go to the vet when she broke a leg which is now unhealable (yet she still uses it) my aunt owns another dog named pj and adopted Athena, she takes good care of her and has given her the best life she can, though Athena is sassy she loves my aunt and depsite being 8 still runs around
Well done summary of the breed! I've owned 2 so far in my life and I want another one. The loving bond they give to their "person" is addictive. Boy dogs are great for an active and experienced female owner. They are not easy in some ways... there will be challenges. But the cuddly love, devotion, and playful intelligence is superior. Likewise a female dog for a male owner. The females are a little more calm and reasonable. But the owner should have some experience with dog training. I also recommend to anyone to get a puppy and raise them teaching bite inhibition, along with everything else, right away. Their instinct and breeding is to be tracking and catching rats with lightning speed. "Pinscher" means grabbing. I do not recommend adopting adult dogs if you don't know --for sure-- what their backstory is.
Cute❤️
I love a challenge!
Min pins are one of the most smartest and most manipulative dogs I have ever known lol!!! I have a wonderful female red that is smarter than the average bear and has taken down mice and moles but yet is loving towards my pet rabbits. She is a smartass and will look at you out of the corner of her eye and bark at you just to get a rise out of you. Best dog I have ever owned and I've owned labradors, mastiffs, dobermans, mixes and a newfy. She is a very entertaining dog even at 10 years old she is highly intelligent and playful and very loving!!
I had 2 mini pins (mother & son). They are very affectionate. I lost Jazzy at the age of 18 yrs and Junebug at the age of 16 yrs. They
2:41 tell me about it. the first time I encountered this breed was when i visited a friend's house for the first time. he was sitting in an armchair as i walked in and all 5 of them hopped on either side, behind, and in front of him like tie fighters next to darth vader during the trench run, then started barking incessantly at me until they calmed down a few minutes later

@@fernandapartridge5174 idk if you can find them, but I have some KZhead videos out there of my minpins being super silly!
@@melfreemans Ha! This one was the same. He was so friendly, straight away too. Cuddled right into me, he’s amazing. Such a pretty little dog too, exact tiny replicas of the Doberman. Amazing. Someone gave him to a rescue place here and my friend fortunately saw him and went to get him, so maybe it’s because of that or something, but my first impression, was he’s adorable. I will have a look at your videos, dogs are generally awesome. Thank you! 🥰
@@fernandapartridge5174 did you know that miniature pinschers share absolutely no DNA with Dobermans? They are not related in any way, and aren't miniature versions of Dobermans. They are actually an older breed. They are technically called a Zwergpinscher. I have a clear red minpin which I happen to think are much cuter than the black and tan!!!!!
My first dog was a mini pinchser, but he got heartworms and died as a puppy. I was too young to understand what he was going through. If i knew i wouldve tried to save him. Rip Nikko
Interesting breed portrait of the Miniature Pinscher (In Europe: FCI - Fédération Cynologique Internationale, Standard 185). Fortunately, since 1998 it is forbidden in Germany to dock dogs' tails under severe penalty. Exceptions are amputations due to medical indication. Animals mutilated in this way are not recognised at international breed meetings.
Our large miniature pincer still has his full tail ....I'm surprised it's not fallen off yet he wags his tail constantly ..which I love
We’ve had four min pins. Ellie Mae (17, RIP), Gunner (12), Gwendolyn (6, RIP), and Gracie (3). Ellie Mae (aka Granny Mae) was a mean, violent little dog, but in a Sophia Petrillo kind of way. Gunboy is going strong. Gwen, Gunboy’s one true love, passed from a broken neck after her leg fell asleep on the couch and she jumped off it. She was a dwarf and had a lot of issues, but she was a tough cookie and told you what’s what. She didn’t take crap of anybody. Gracie is a handful. She only knows how to communicate by yipping. Very skittish. She hates men. Each one has a vibrant and different personality.
Left this world exactly 6 month a part. I am extremely depressed even now. They were my family. My husband left this world 4 yrs before they did . They were great at helping me heal from that lost. So of course, when they left, it all came back. I'm currently looking for another mini pin. They are an emotional dog for all the anxiety you feel and cuddles when you need to. Greatest canine God ever created.
When I was 6 we got a puppy pincher, she was so cute but a year later we moved out and gave her to my aunt Whenever we were going to visit them the dog was goin' nuts when seeing me Sadly she passed away in September of 2021🥺

i have this kind of dog her name is supernova and she is very defensive at first but once you gain the trust these dogs are good as a companion family member and alarm anyone near your house you will know it right away lol
My Minpin will still go after a mouse or squirrel. If she can make herself get up from her heated cashmere blanket!!! Because she is spoiled beyond belief!!!!

I can't even look at dogs with cut tails - it has been illegal for a long time now in my country. Do they still do this in the USA?

RIP my OTTO.
Serious question here: would this be a good breed to use as a service dog for cPTSD? I originally wanted a dobie, but it's far too big for my life style as I can't drive and am a CS major college student. I would train it to alert me when it sees my panic attack coming so I can get away from ppl to calm down and have it lick at my hands to provide a grounding sensation to help pull me out of the attack. I'm scared of ppl 😭
Our little Jax is 1yr old this month. He acts just like the kids lol his color is Merle.

My Min Pin died from a stroke 5 months ago. His name was Gizmo. Miss him every day
Mine’s a brindle and she’s an absolute nut. 🤪
I think the presenter overplays the downsides of min pins. They are relatively effortless dogs. Min Pins will show you lots of affection but if you hold then, and cuddle, that’s all they need. They eat voraciously, but they are otherwise very healthy dogs. They only like other German dogs (I know from experience and I don’t know why that is). Min Pins are like their greyhound cousins and mostly just chill. Some are hyper, but not most.
Love my 13 year furbaby, Zeus. So smart, loving and very energetic. However, they are runners and take off so they require lots of protection. Anyone who is thinking of getting one better have a well fenced in yard and a collar AND harness as they are escape from collars very easily.
If I took mine on a walk to somewhere he didn't want to go, he would slip his ear under the collar and look straight at me. The message was "I can leave any time I want." We kept him in a fenced back yard. One time we didn't let him in fast enough, so he escaped and knocked on the front door.
@@peterbonucci9661 so Is a harness a better option?
@@yessihdez.4047 mine could escape from harnesses, too. I couldn't believe it the first time I saw it. It became about our relationship. As long as he knew I was the pack leader, we were OK. They were created to hunt vermin, so fitting in small places is a plus. They are great dogs. We had to adapt, but that's true with anyone else who lives with you, too.
I had a boy and a girl Min Pin, both came from the same place about a year apart. CJ was proud, energetic, loving, an escape artist, and protective. Mia loved to snuggle and sleep curdle up under my chin/side of my neck, she was milder, but she loved to play too. Training them requires different techniques. Also, when buying a collar, I recommend continuously checking 1st because their head is small, so it's effortless for them to slide out (I always had two different types).

Okay I seen this video years ago as Ive always wanted a miniature pinscher finally got me a boy he was being given up by a family as they needed to move to NC I felt bad at first but she insisted that its best as they cant take him and I was the only one to not BS them and drove from Arizona to Compo, California to meet them they paid over $1,500 for him had ears cropped also she gave me a really good deal $400 for him as they needed a home for him asap. Why did I not get one earlier well price mostly plus I wanted my big dogs first which is dobermans now I got my 2 dobermans 1girl and 1 boy now I can get my miniature pinscher got 1 boy now 1 year or 2 I will get a girl miniature pinscher. I love the pinsher breed ever since I was a kid and saw them in the alley in a neighbors back yard always loved the breed they had 2 dobermans and 2 miniature pinscher when I was little I just thought it was there puppies that just never grew haha lmfao. My uncle had a Pinscher and they lived for 15 years and started getting really sick and then went blind. Shortly after the dog died and got cremated and the ashes were spread in a beach in Hawaii the name I've forgotten.
Sounds like I did everything wrong with my min pin and I have the aggressive, dominant, biting dog. Due to Covid I could not socialize him and I've been waiting for 2 months for a trainer that can't get to me for another month. I live in fear of my dog now. I have trained many dogs big and small and never had one so mean like this before. I rescued him and he must have had trauma as he is afraid of everything but comes out fighting. I have tried everything for this dog. Any advice??? He will be kind and show a second of love then he snaps and growls.
