This is the gig that broke LB into the mainstream. I recall watching it at the time & digging it, as I was already into rap/rock bands like 311, Korn, & RATM. It’s hard to believe now, but at one time MTV was actually about music and not un-reality shows. They could have a huge impact on a band making it or not. Bizkit caught the tail end of that era.

Pretty much every song on Significant Other could've been a single.
@@Bubba__Sawyer The whole album slaps from intro to outro
Man I wish I was born much earlier than I was to have been able to be much older around this time that all my favorite nu metal bands were huge 90s early 00s were the best times to be alive back then to someone who was old enough
I was an early 90s baby I'm blessed with what I had, but it would've been amazing to see these nu metal bands when Nu metal was new, and was the most popular music.
Gotta love these mesa NOOKIE guitar amps!!!
A 30 year old rapper playing metal on a beach for MTV with kids dancing like they were litsening to pop music. The 2000's, you wouldn't understand
Sam Rivers Pogo! Amazing…🤟🏾
Can you imagine! lol, I remember watching this and just thinking it was the coolest. Back when MTV actually did crazy stuff. Thanks for the upload!
"Take a Look Around" lyrics when the boat blows up. From their next album. ^_^
como en el puto disco increible parece que salga del studio
Damn how many boats did they blow up lol
Watching at 4:20 am in July, Friday the 13th (2021)
Sickest unveiling of some new songs ever
Dope performance!! I was 17 in 99!! good times!!
I feel old
Man MTV back then seemed to really know how to connect with the younger/teen era. The most popular music combined with a highly energetic spring break location was absolute marketing GENIUS! What happened??
Back when you would go to a concert and everyone was enjoying the music, in the moment, not recording on their phones. Good times.
great times
ok bOOMER
And for those who are they for the boat ? They blew a boat yo.
Amen brother
Me and carson daily got the same bday one of my albums came out on my bday
Final golden MTV era for music. It was always interesting coming from High School and tuning into TRL and seeing Limp Bizkit & Korn music videos along the likes of Backstreet Boys and Britney. 1997-2001 may have been the best era to see those 'heavier' bands on mainstream.
Nobody in that crowd knew those songs but they still had a blast. R.i.p to one of the best eras ever
Skating, limp bizkit, graffiti and fruitopia ran my life in those days. Haha
@@masterlogray and dope
bruh they literally knew every adlibs of im broke and nookie. listen carefully bro
Everybody who watched MTV or listened to their “modern rock” radio station knew Nookie at this point, I remember when this aired.
Back when mtv gave a shit about metal!🤘🏻
Making in tv Fuller Nice biggsted
My older brother tried to put me on but it wasn't till I saw this live concert that I became a longtime fan
Hits different live for sure
9:59 humm that baby with sunglasses
This is the gig that broke LB into the mainstream. I recall watching it at the time & digging it, as I was already into rap/rock bands like 311, Korn, & RATM. It’s hard to believe now, but at one time MTV was actually about music and not un-reality shows. They could have a huge impact on a band making it or not. Bizkit caught the tail end of that era.
The 2000s and 2010s were all about un reality shows sadly 😞 and ridiculousness God I hate that show
Actually 1998 performance mtv new years eve
nice the bahamas i think its nookie first time played live
june 22 ,my bday 2!
_It's not a computer generated effect_
Grand nu metal times
Limp biskit forever I was 16 in 99.
I watched this live in MTV with my dad.
Fred was actually pretty damn funny in this interview, didn't realize how funny he was. "Actually we're blowing up the boat so we gotta stay here" and "unfortunately I'm on the recorder... which is something we'll just have to deal with" lul
Damn I'm old. I can actually remember watching this live. Such simpler and better times. Wokeness has destroyed our world.
DID IT WAS GREART BACK THEN I STILL HAVE THIS ON VHS HA
2021
The bridge, when at 11:49-12:01: So much silence in a live performance could never sound this good.
The good days...
Limp Bizkit 2018
13:13 Is Wes playing the Angel Of Death riff?!
Sounds similar
yup they were all just improvising at that point, so dope
For those asking.. They are playing - 4:53 i'm broke - 08:50 Nookie - 13:13 Ice cube - wicked cover (guitar riff only) / with LB take a look around lyrics. thank me later
Yes it is a riff of Angel Of Death by Slayer and it's from the guitar riff of the Public Enemy song "Channel Zero". And the band M.O.P. used that riff for their song "Raise Hell"
Both Live premiere
what gets me is seeing NO PHONES. Miss this time
I love that snare sound! Great pop, nice and tight! I hate big clunky snares coughLARScough
This IS fucking cool 😱😎
Mota marines like hope up pop
Shows like this were the vibes that dreams were made of.Seeing the crowd go off when the riff to nookie kicked in was dope.
Fred is 👑 this shit is EPIC
I wish I was born to see this... at least on tv
I saw... :)
