I don't think many of us were too happy with the original Peak Design Wash Pouch so when I found out they were launching a Small Wash Pouch as part of their Travel Line, I was super stoked. FINALLY, something that's way more size-appropriate and functional. But in reality, does it live up to these new expectations and is this something that you should pick up?
Sorry about the audio! The lav was connected and everything but of course I didn't plug the receiver unit into the camera so the audio you're hearing is all from the camera. Could've been worse I suppose!

Nice review! We are very very similiar in what we carry for our bathroom kit lol. So that was helpful. I have the original wash pouch, and felt the same: it's just too big, bulky, and inefficient, though thoughtfully designed. What I'd be giving up is the electric razor in case that I keep in the full size wash pouch, but I think I can live with that. Gonna order. Thanks for the review!

The black colorway is supposed to not include leather but the other colors do. If you had another color for the larger wash pouch you'd have the leather tag on it.

Crazy gymnastic move with the hook = turn and tuck.

Just wanted to help with the hook, if you twist clockwise 180 first, and then flip down it is very smooth and easy

- Yah that’s what I’ve been doing too! I show it near the end. The fliperoo and slide technique. I just wish it was a bit more intuitive and improved over the original wash pouch.

I actually have that exact same Sea to Summit wash pouch and was looking to see if the PD small wash pouch was an improvement in any way. I also looked at the original PD wash pouch and thought that it was way too big and bulky for what I wanted. As you've used all of them, would you say you prefer the PD small wash pouch to the Sea to Summit one? Would you say it's an improvement at all or roughly the same? Thanks for the thorough review!

Late to the party - Does it make more sense to bring the hook out before storing the pouch with items?

The leather accents are generally based on color, most of the black and charcoal do not have leather while the other colors like ash, sage, blue, etc, do. It makes sense that Goldilocks is not yet satisfied, three sizes can make a lot more people happy, and perhaps they will add a middle size at some point. V3?

I’m hoping peak design gave you an opportunity to review the new 30L Travel Pack. I’m curious if it’s still a bit too big for someone like myself who’s only 5’3” and if the camera cubes still fit. You do very good reviews.

- According to PD website, the camera cubes only fit in the 30L travel pack if you use the expansion zip (33L). In the standard state (27L) it isn't thick enough to contain the cubes

Thanks for the comparison. Given how tightly packed that small pouch is, wouldn't there be risk of leakage when some bottle gets squeezed open?

- I don’t think so as the pouch is somewhat rigid and shouldn’t cause any to rupture but if they do everything on the interior is cleanable with the fabrics that they used.

Yeah, you should probably just stick with the larger one. That pouch is busting at the seams. Just in the sack of wanting to "maximum".

- Just did a quick measurement for you and for something like a GoToob, you’d want to make sure it’s shorter than 11cm or 4.5 inches give or take.

I use a phillips one sonic with its own travel case. It has a very small profile and might work better for your travels. 😊

- Ah I’ll take a look at that! I’m not in the greatest sound proofed room. In terms of the wash pouch, it’s been my go-to toiletry bag. The key is to have small items and what really helped was getting a smaller electric toothbrush (Sonicare). I can fit everything I need and it doesn’t take up too much space in the suitcase.

So, if all of your stuff doesn't fit in this one, of course it's going to be inadequate. You still need deodorant and electric razor- I bet that would take up some "dead space" in the larger bag.

Not being able to put an elektronic shaver including the cover inside, is a real show stopper. Probably too small for real-life use.

- That’s a good point. I definitely could but I have other things in there so I just keep it in one of the main dividers.

I think this one is a bit too small, but the original one is too large. I noticed he didn't put deoderant in his toiletry bag, which is not something I can go without

- yeah full size deodorant sticks need to go sideways, they are way to long to stand vertically in this bag which means they take up the full length of one of the long pouches. I just got this but I feel it is a bit too small unless I move absolutely everything to travel sized very small bottles and I don't use big bottles of normal stuff either, I just need the super mini sized stuff now. not sure if I'll keep it.
