Thx for these quick and well made infos
Your videos have improved my aim more than any others I have watched. Have you ever thought about doing one for micro adjustments? I use your mouse and grip but don’t understand how and when to use my fingers. Plus the grip is meant to be stable so using my fingers moves the mouse out of a stable position. Thanks for the awesome content!
Great idea, i'll have a think about what a video on the topic would look like.
Agreed I use claw grip but I’m unsure how to use my fingers
@@StruthGaming are you the guy behind kovaak channel?
I was, yes :)
well said, this was a much more needed video.
production quality 😍
Can you make a video on where you apply friction/force when you track longer distances smoothly and at the same time accurately? For example in games with longer time to kill, like Apex, when the enemy is running in a straight line. In a similar way that you explain using the fingers for longer range micro corrections. Dunno if this overlaps too much other videos, but this is the area I struggle the most with. I watch all your videos either way :D
I could go into more detail on those specifics in some shorter sub-topic style videos. Thanks for the suggestion :)
I have g-wolves hsk pro where they have some insane angle snapping, my flicks have become crazy in overwatch, playing widowmaker and Ashe in mid grandmaster now, same with the tracking on soldier is crazy, of course you will miss like 3% of shots where a genji is going unnatural directions on your screen, but mostly you will hit more shots due to A-D-A-D spamming
Thanks a lot for this video❤
You're welcome :)
This works super well if you are moving and shooting like shotguns. It also helps with long range beams. I usually use it at about 30-40% depending on the game. For something like apex, pK and mastiff shots. Also sniping on someone that is on a zip line or valk ult etc: there is no down side to using it for my play style
If you split the vertical and horizontal dpi it will still help keep your mouse on the x axis without sacrificing the smoothness of your cursor
Y’a but it makes looking up harder
@@thebandit4483 a bit. Not really though. Depends on what settings you settle on
@@EpochIsEpic what rank are you?
@@thebandit4483 at what game?
@@EpochIsEpic If you're playing at any high level angle snapping really destroys your ability to hit good shots on different terrain on flicks.
Thoughts on motion sync? I can't find any good vids explaining it.
Angle snapping aim challenge? 👀 I wonder how it would go to have very high angle snapping and then seperate the aiming on the x and y axis, like to go top right aiming just horizontally first flick them just vertically second flick.
Can raw accel be used in algs? (LAN event for apex?)
I have a question for one of your tips, do i need to focus always on enemy with eyes, or should i do that when my crosshair will be near his playermodel? (at chest or head). I asking because i very often having moments where i focusing on enemy but even with peripheral vision cant adjust crosshair on enemy playermodel.
I believe you should always focus on the enemy. You may not always have the time to wait for that to happen though.
Hey Struth, got a question for you that is unrelated to the video but I feel like someone with your experience and systematic approach could help. Is there a reason why certain sensitivities are favoured for certain aiming scenarios? Say for most tracking-heavy games using around 30-35cm/360 is really popular and 50-60cm is mostly used for clicking? And would also like to hear you thoughts on using PSA method in-game. On some days I feel like there’s a certain sens that just clicks because my player model movement is in sync with crosshair movement, but on the other days I do the PSA test and feel like I could track well on anything inside 30-60cm range, but each value requires different movement proportions to be involved. Sorry for the wall of text😅
Different games use different FOV scales. I converted all of the games to the same scale to make comparing them easier.
@@StruthGamingyeah, I remember that from your Shroud analysis video. So you don’t think there’s any correlation between a sensitivity range and a task at hand even for aim trainers? Say a static clicking and reactive tracking scenarios are both optimally played on same sens if FOV is kept the same?
Huh weird, that reply was meant for a different comment lmao. Sometimes I reply and it just loads forever, then I find it posted over in come other comment. It largely comes down to the aiming requirements of the game or scenario. If enemies are moving quickly in all sorts of directions, then higher sensitivities perform better. In games with limited movement and/or long engagement distances you can get away with using more precise, lower sensitivities. I haven't used PSA for a very long time, I didn't find it to be too helpful in my experience. In that static clicking vs reactive tracking example, the static would benefit from a lower sens while reactive tracking would benefit from higher. If the tracking was slow longstrafes, then a lower sens would be more beneficial.
I got really confused at first by your initial reply mate 😅 Thanks, it makes a lot of sense now. Do you think you could do a tutorial on finding out the right sensitivity at some point? Maybe a systematic review of current suggested approaches with your evaluation of them? Of course it’s a beaten topic, but at the same time there’s a million ways suggested on KZhead as optimal and it’s hard to judge what is actually good. I know you covered in the video on Refrag channel but that’s mostly for CS
I'd love to hear your thoughts on raw accel next 😊
It's a tricky one, while i've tried mouse acceleration before, i've never stuck with it for any reasonable amount of time which makes it difficult for me to confidently talk about it.
@@StruthGaming that's fair 👌
time to give it a go? id love to hear u talk about it too!@@StruthGaming
Love the content
Angle snapping could be good when doing 180s. After you swipe your mouse for the entire mousepad, you will have the crosshair at head level. I'm using a low angle and it doesn't really activates unless I swipe
Can u talk about aim acceleration?
I honestly found my aim was worse with angle snapping and it really messes up your tracking and spraying I don't recommend it at all unless its set to a very very low setting but then why even have it on at that point
the point of it is to cover for your small mistakes in one-clips that rely on 2 or 3 bullets you or may not have barely missed without it (thats my take on it anyways)
Hello, when everything is working fine, when I run valorant it deactivates it even if the program is still running or minimized.. can you help me? THANKS
I feel like games such as val or csgo may benefit someone with crosshair placement, but other than that, I do not see any extra benefits
Whenever i launch valorant raw accel doesn't work any solution? To fix
as soon as i start valorant the effect is not there when i close it it is
Angle snapping definitely helps. Mainly when there's multiple targets around or when you're using awp. Not many people are great with mouse control. But it's like RawAccel to me. I use it for now because it's fun but I definitely won't forever because it's pointless. Oh and it definitely messes up with your memory. I used RawAccel only for about a month and I literally can't flick properly anymore. I'm always over or undershooting. Angle snapping will also probably do something similar
0:15 what's the name of this app?
Can you do a video on mouse recentering
With mouse recentering, is the trouble getting it back to the same spot? Or doing it fast enough during a fight if you run out of mousepad space? Or something else entirely? I've seen this suggested a few times but haven't really grasped the problem i'd be trying to fix.
@@StruthGaming I think it’s what you mentioned and also how does sensitivity affect it, how do you swipe back fast whilst also not hitting your mouse against the pad hard and it making a noise, how far near the edge of the mousepad can you be before you should recenter and how to do that part if your actively in a gun fight
@@StruthGaming also side note how do you use your fingers to micro adjust if you use claw grip or is that not possible ?
what is your apex sens?
1200 DPI, 1 in-game, 105 FOV. Been experimenting a little lower at .95~ lately.
Angle snapping is good when you have good crosshair placement. Sadly you dont need to set it on a high number you just need to set it to something that will somewhat smoothen your flick on the head level. And i dont agree with the placebo effect coz you are changing something in your mouse behavior its not a skin in valorant that gives you that feeling
truth
i need help. when i start interaccel it runs but when i open valorant it dosent work any solution?
I haven't tried interaccel, but rawaccel worked for me at the time of the video.
Gaming community is saturated with lazy people who don't wanna put in any work on their aim and look for latest shiny solutions, it was the same thing with people claiming raw accel was the holy grail, and now its about angle snapping 😆
Some people can’t face the reality that good aim comes from good practice.
Sometimes, changing settings gives you a placebo effect. There are people who aren't scared to do that I guess
@@BazzyVALI been playing comp fps for 10 somethin years and I change my settings all the time and always try the new talk in town although normally I go back to just regular aim once I’m bored
@@parker5061 me too
raw accel gives a massive difference for me. I play hella low sens, so when i got into a situation where i need to 180, i usually just give up lol angle snapping though, does seem like a massive placebo, especially when it could fuck up your diagonal aim which is used quite a lot in game.
people are always looking for quick shortcuts instead of just enjoying the game and trying to improve naturally
I started playing games 8-9 years ago and I've come a long way but the only degree of aim I could ever achieve was beginner while you exist...how?
I heard this the other day and it's quite corny but still applicable. If you improve by 1% at something every day for a year, you'll end up 37x better than when you started. Obviously it's not quite that simple, but with the right approach people can become extremely proficient. Will be addressing a topic like this soon :)
@@StruthGaming improve by 1% you told me if not how 😭
Would this be good for Fortnite or no
try this with very high DPS
Idk why Mouse and keyboard players would want axial dead zone. I turn that shit off on controller where it can actually be helpful.
imagine playing Osu, using angle snapping on
this is all true, angle snapping is what people use when they are just terrible at aiming.
I tired this and ripple control etc. it’s not for me
angle snapping sucks for any game where you constantly aim vertically
im sorry but why you use same gameplay video clips on every video? not hating just curious why. very good content keep it up
No worries, the main reason is that it entirely depends on how much i'm playing. When TDM in Apex came out I played it a lot and got a bunch of my clips there, but now that it's only available 1/3 of the time in the rotation, I haven't bothered much lately. FPS games are a little stale atm so I've been playing other genres in my spare time. The other reason is that I usually have certain clips in mind that explain certain concepts. Like in this video I needed examples of horizontal flicks, so the pathfinder flick and the kraber flick immediately came to mind.
I speak for all aim enthusiasts, we don't want any tech doing the aiming for us. Leave that non-sense to the AA lovers & casuals.
boomers learned about angle-snapping after the original MX518 released (almost 2 decades ago) and that it's not something you want if you want to aim better...
aw hell nah, no way people call angle snapping "aim assist". Yeah it makes it much easier to aim horizontally BUT the majority of situations in any game require you to aim on both axes at the same time, making angle snapping more of a problem than help.
Apparently I'm one of the first here, It's ridiculous that they think screwing up everyone's muscle memory at this point is a good idea lmao.
I think the biggest problem is the added delay
muscle memory xD
Muscle memory isn't a thing lol, I change sens every day
Imagine muscle memory on aiming 💀💀💀
@@fatal9529 hell yeah, you dont remember every possible mouse movement at every possible distance?
Wait, people didnt know any of this?
i would bet angle snapping becomes a ban-able offense eventually. it just doesnt make sense that its literally assisting your aim and people already get banned for using software that assists aim
RawAccel’s “By Component” Feature is much better. It’s essentially a weaker angle snapping without any of the downsides. It makes it so the X and Y-Axes both have their own acceleration curves, so when doing a quick horizontal flick, it’ll be a bit more tight and straight of a line since the vertical sens is lower. This also applies vice versa for vertical movements. If your aim is a tad jittery, or when you do a wide angle flick and your crosshair ends up below or above your intended target, then this will help
Where is this option exactly?
@@caim9986 watch the vid, it's a software
Just to clarify, this by-component setting should be used with an accel curve, otherwise there’s no effect.
@@Healp145 Yep! Thanks for clarifying
Who uses angle snapping just flick and micro adjust it aint that deep I swear new gen fps players making everything complicated
Angle snapping sucks on apex
like always logitech nevber have nothing good on his software.....
its not even AA lmao
that was so uninteresting
Hugely dishonest video. You show too much angle snapping and then use it in a BR where enemies can be literally anywhere.
Look I think it is well understood that angle snapping works best while playing specific games such as valorant or csgo where horizontal aiming is more prevalent. I have been using it for about a month and my flicks in valorant are much more consistent and crisp. And,and it's not a placebo effect. Also I climbed to immo 2 from acc 1 for the first time.
@Diabla Well,It depends, everything is not that simple. Mouse variations,Monitor variations, mousepad variations, refresh rate variations, ping variations all together make a good and consistent aim. You can't judge people like this(I mean you can but that would be just naive)
@Diabla That concludes only hardware differences Now,some people have better hand eye co-ordination,some have better reflexes and if something is non-banable then they are well within their rights to use whatever they want. If you want to argue like little kids then I can also call people who use 40-60 gm mouse lazy as I can easily aim with a 100 gm mouse. Why don't you call them lazy then? It's about personal preference.
Angle snapping and raw accel doesn't change anything for me, maybe is the way I play valorant and not that competitive and also my setup.
