  • The playstation pocket station wasn't only playstation's idea, it was actually inspired by the VMU which came out along side the Dreamcast in Japan. It was both brands banking on the tomagatchi phase Japan was going through. Both are memory cards that connect directly to the system. The main difference was for unsupported games on PS1 it did basically nothing, while on Dreamcast it displayed information of the game or little gags as it's on the controller making it easier to send secret messages and stuff to the player with one.

    • That is sooo true

      @katiew5998@katiew5998 Жыл бұрын
    • @@katiew5998 I don't blame people for not knowing about it. Most people had already written off the Dreamcast as the PS2 was known to be coming, was faster, and the PS1 was already the best selling system of its generation. Plus why put your faith in Sega after the Saturn was left to rot? No matter what Sega did, there was nothing they could do to save them from the pit they dug. Still kinda wish the hall effect sticks at least carried over to everyone else though...

  • The meaning of the "cross" and "circle" buttons were actually the opposite of the "western" ideal. The original Japanese design was intended to be circle as confirm and cross as deny. Certain PS1 games even have the singular option of swapping just those two buttons in the control options. I remember Final Fantasy VII was definitely one of those games but I can't remember what others did the same

    @kevinb4713@kevinb4713 Жыл бұрын

  • Astro's Playroom is based in the PS5, you can see by looking up, you would notice the shape of the PS5. On the walls of the PS5, you can see the Xs, the Os, the triangles and the squares, which is pretty cool since the inside part of the PS5 does actually have the symbols on itself. However, they only made the normal PS5 version, I have the Spider-Man 2 PS5 and it is black and red, but in the game it is white, so maybe Asobi could change that

  • If I'm not mistaken, Japanese Playstation use O as enter and X as exit, at least that's the default for the PS2 that my sister gave to me.

  • 0:00 yeah even the XBOX have it but that feature isn't so famous 😅 you can use it to make the console turn on (at the cost of it to be "always awake" even if turned off (so like a 10W more of the normal consume... basically a fifth of a microwave consume while in use) very interesting thx Arun... but now I'm excited to see the XBOX variant of this video (seeing that you made the exact same thing with the unboxing lil serie

  • The vita had the potential to be something great, its such a shame that sony decided to abandon it as quickly as they did. After installing CFW on my vita its still one of my favorite handhelds ever made and I've owned consoles from the OG gameboy to the steam deck.

    • Yeah also the rear view mirror thing with the psp reminded me of the integration the Vita tried with the PS4. Like Remoteplay and stuff

  • Arun, I just wanted to thank you for all the effort you and your team put into these videos. They mean a lot to me since I have been watching you for a long time and the progress is insane. I finally decided 2 years ago to start on the KZhead journey myself, and it is the best decision I have made. Thank you for being my idol in the tech space.
