If you've had an echocardiogram, this video will help you understand the results in your report. Narrated by Dr. Christopher Kelly, MD, MS, FACC (North Carolina Heart and Vascular / UNC Rex Hospital).
I have never seen such a good clear description of parts of the heart and what to expect. Easy to understand, did you know you're also a great teacher? Thanks doc.
Thank You! My PCP and I have just had this conversation and please know there are doctors just like you too he is one of them You’re Not Alone.
Thank you for this excellent overview!!!
Thank you so clearly explained had it done today didn't think I would feel sore and woozy

This was super informative!! Thank you
Thank you for this informative video!
Love this guy
Excellent explanation, very helpful, thanks.
Thanks Doc. This was super helpful. I just got an Echo yesterday and got the report back with all the data... (which of course I did not understand). Then I just got a note back from my doc that basically said there was nothing to be concerned by... without providing any additional level of detail. At least, now, having watched this... I can at least have a bit more intelligent discussion with my doc about the results and actually kinda sorta likely understand what he's talking about... thanks to watching your video. Thanks again, doc.
Funny, I just had a Echo yesterday also, 7-20-2023. I haven't heard back from my doctor but the report didn't flag any problems. So I guess we're good to go.
Fabulous teaching. Thank you.
very helpful thank you as I have a better understanding of the heart
Well explained, thank you so much, is mitral valve regurgitation insufficiency conside as heart disease?
Thank You!
THANKS!!!😊
Thanks.
Thanks sir
Thanks!!!
Thank u doc
Very helpful. Thanks. It would waste my doctors time to run me thru the general basics. Now I will skip the 101 level questions and get right to my particular problem. Thanks again.
My echo indicated a 7.2cm aorta at the root. I flew back to the US & checked into emergency ward 2 days later. I do the test annually now to follow the repairs done.
waiting on results this afternoon after echocardiogram this morning...🙏🙏🙏
Thank you this was very helpful because I have an appointment to go over my results and I don’t know why I would try to read it as if I’m a doctor and I would know what it means smh. 😂
Question what hospital are you aflilated with?
Very helpful. Clear and concise. Not sure if anyone can answer: LVFS 28.8 9/27. 6/21 was 43.5% does this decrease value represent a decrease in function? while I see the range can be 45% to 28 on the lower level. the change for me from 43.5 to 28.8 is a change. I am thinking that because the decrease still fall into the " normal range" its not taken as serious on an indiviudal case basis....does anyone have thoughts on this question. Many thanks.
Hi doc, what does a red highlighted mean in an echo?
What does FS mean? Mine came back 27 and I’m worried

Cannot breathe & lay flat-can it still be done?
I have to have one done. They found an enlarged heart in an x-ray whilst checking for bronchitis.
That’s how my aortic aneurysm got discovered.
I recieve poor visualization of tte with bubble doctor didn’t really discuss
I have a myocardial Bridge.....
Could you have higher than 60% ejection function, or is that not physically possible? Would it mean that you have a stronger than normal heart?
Normal LVEF is 55 to 70%
What if your EF is 71%?
Hi . If EF 46 % consider heart failure ?
considered as Heart Failure with mid-ranged Ejection Fraction
There's a doctor here that says as the heart opens and closes they can estimate E.F. see the video by York cardiology. So its just an estimate from what I learned watching his videos.
