  • Wait, this isn't what the motorcycle crash compilation videos show me! You're suppose to be speeding, crashing, and then blaming the other driver for your ignorance and lack of riding skills. There's no drivers pulling out in front of you, no middle finger rev-bombings. I thought that what motorcycling was all about. Thoroughly dissappointed All jokes and sarcasm aside it's good to see how you SHOULD be riding instead of how not to ride. It helps a lot on top of training and dedication.

    • Okay best comment goes to you! You really had me in the first half 😂😂❤️. As someone who watches motomadness/motorstars you really do have a point. It can be easy for new riders or someone thinking about getting into bikes, to be put off or intimidated by watching those type videos. Everything comes with it’s dangers. Yes you’re 100% right training and dedication can make a world of a difference! For the most part it’s that freedom feeling that comes with riding that always has me looking forward to the next ride!

    • @@nabutani I'll be honest. The thing that intimadated me wasn't the crashes. It was the statistics. You're "this amount of percentages likely to die or be killed in a motorcycle crash" or "motorcycle riders have a shorter lifespan by 115% than non motorcycle riders." These statistics made it seem hopeless and it deterred me for maybe a couple of weeks but then I learned about the "Hurt Report" and Motocrash comps. Crazy how digging deep into statistics instead of a blanket number significantly help riders make more educated decisions. Once I realize that 99% of crashes are your fault it made me feel more confident. Sitting here thinking about it, Motorcycle Riding is one big common sense test. If you lack it in a car then you're gonna lack it on a motorcycle

    • Yeah I wouldn’t even imagine owning one. Then I rode one and it was game over for me haha! Yeah I haven’t ridden anything else outside of the sportsters. I used to be a Yamaha type of guy wheelies and all that…now I just really enjoy the ride and just be easy. The Harley is a very majestic type of machine, I love cruisers now it so weird me typing this 😂😂. Thank you Farid, I really appreciate your kind words. It’s a really nice compliment!

    • @@Reparo96yeah I rode a few big cruisers and I get why so many people love them The v twin rumble and the massive torque at low rpm is really fun but ill never own one for the simple reason that safety is my top priority That's why I ride lightweight sport/naked bikes, 400-450 lbs, my last bike was a ktm duke 790 415 lbs wet, razor sharp handling, acceleration is super quick and it's got great brakes Cruisers are too heavy the brakes aren't very good plus there's more weight to slow down and they don't swerve as easily, I will always ride newer sport/naked bikes that are lightweight with good suspension and brembo dual discs up front Motorcycling is a lot more fun when you can avoid crashing

      @tomtemple69@tomtemple698 ай бұрын
    • @tomtemple69 crazy to think according to statistics, Sport bikes are 4 times more likely to be in a fatal accident than cruisers. I used to ride naked with the same mindset, since I got a cruiser, I've changed my mind.

  • For those commenting on the sound of the exhaust and how relaxing it is. It is. Been riding for over 40 years. There's a reason big V-Twins are so popular, especially 45 degree V-Twins like Harley. The 1200 Sportster engine in the 48 is one of my favorites. Nothing, absolutely nothing compares to the sound and feel of rumbling down a backroad on a Harley. Do yourself a favor and go test ride one. I came up through my 20s and 30s riding sport bikes of one kind or another. Just not the same. Ride a 22' Road King Special now but have had numerous Harleys. You won't be disappointed. Wish I still had my Forty Eight. Sweet bike Nabutani!

  • Mine was a 2015, it had the same tank graphics as yours. Ask anyone who knows anything about 48's and they will agree me. Those are the best graphics of all the years Harley made the 48. I also had a 2012 Sportster Custom 1200. I could get better sound out of the 1200 motor of any bike. Never mind the bunch of bigger HDs I owned. That 48 was one of my favorite bikes. It was very cool. I just couldn't take constantly dragging the pegs all the time. I eventually upgraded to a 2014 Fatbob.

Bought it in December and just started riding in February, so I'm trying to get as many miles in the saddle as I can before going on the big trip. Kinda funny, I'm only one month into riding and I'll already have a makeshift dresser with the bags and trunk haha. My main thing was being able to lock my helmet up when I went inside anywhere. The bike has a D-ring lock, but I'm still paranoid. That being said, I'd definitely suggest getting some bags for long trips. I figure all of the touring style motorcycles have 'em for a good reason. Take care man!
