Gölyazı is a tiny island floating on Uluabat Lake! In fact, it is a peninsula connected to the mainland by a thin bridge.
Gölyazı was once the capital of the Apollonian Kingdom. Later, Roman, Ottoman, everyone left a mark. It was a quiet Greek fishing village until the population exchange. At that time, Uluabat's name was Apollont, and Gölyazı's was Apolyont.
Places that accumulate layer by layer history, and if they are built in beautiful geographies, they will leave you with delicious memories. You will not be able to leave this island, which takes only 15 minutes to walk around, for hours.
