  • You have essentially built what I have built in my head; lost my leg last year, so it's on the backburner for this winter. My idea was to use ABS haircell instead of the ACP. Outstanding build and finish. You could always get a raised plaquard of your logo, and mount it on the front corner, and hide the gap!!!!

  • Another secret about beautiful tank spray it down with glass. But you don't need to have a putty knife. Or some plastic plastic plastic razor blade. And you can go along there and clean it off. Real good, I dealt with it for 32 years.

  • Another amazing episode! Already bought my plans. I have some ideas to make some small changes but I really love what you’re doing and you’re a great inspiration to the community. A little tip for putting down the caulking you can use painters tape to help you get a nice straight line on either side of the caulk line and then peel it right off. The big alteration I hope to make using your plans is to make the teardrop section removable somewhat like a truck camper so that I can have a trailer when I’m not using it for camping.

    @xsailor1970@xsailor1970 Жыл бұрын
    • Thanks for the plan purchase man! Also appreciate the kind words 🙌🏻🙌🏻 That’s a great idea for the caulking! Would have definitely made cleaning up the edges way easier. I debated making mine removable as well but in the end I couldn’t think of a time I’d actually wanna remove it haha. Still a great idea. Makes the trailer much more versatile 👌🏼

      @Adv4x4@Adv4x4 Жыл бұрын
    • @@Adv4x4 The only reason that I would wanna remove it is to use the base as an actual trailer towing motorcycles etc. Although I thought about making a way to where I could put my dirtbike onto the frame of the teardrop as well but I also have a Harley and could use a trailer for towing it and even to pick up supplies for the project. I’m hoping to attend the Overland Expo east conference in October maybe I’ll see you there; would love to shake your hand and thank you in person for all your great content.

    • Thank you sir! I gotta say I didn’t know they existed! The one I have it’s fairly easy to operate. I’d imagine if I was installing hundreds a week I’d have to look into one of those hydraulic ones though! I got someone on the app “Fiverr” to design my logo!

    @robertferrin9532@robertferrin9532 Жыл бұрын
    • If I had to guess, it is somewhere near $5k. I will be doing a cost breakdown video in the end! But still even at that price, compared to some of the ones on the market. That is a fraction of the cost as buying one that was premade. Plus you get the satisfaction of saying you built it yourself!

Do you have a rough budget that you have into this? Highly considering a project like this for the winter and was curious what the cost would be vs. some of the alternatives. Thanks in advance.

    @radnasty217@radnasty217 Жыл бұрын
    • Hey man! Really appreciate you watching and glad you enjoy it. I didn’t necessarily start with a “budget” in mind but I also didn’t want it to be too crazy expensive. I will do a cost breakdown video at the end when it’s all said and done forsure! If I had to ballpark the cost it’s around 5k

      @Adv4x4@Adv4x4 Жыл бұрын

  • Did you add anything in the corners to support the paneling or to screw the paneling to? Or is your paneling rigid enough that it don’t need anything there? I am building a trailer and contemplating what to do on the corners. I’m very impressed with your build!

  • "What's up guys?" What do you mean, "what's up"?. You have no way of knowing who is watching your video, and clearly have no interest in the actual answer, so why ask an assinine question to which you can't receive an answer? English has an enormous number of ways of greeting people or introducing yourself, so use one of them instead of adding to the destruction of the language by spouting some nonsensical and illogical vernacular. It is a really, really annoying way for anyone to start a video. From the details given in the video, I suspect you are going to have a problem with the trim. You only put butyl tape under the face with screws. This leaves an open edge facing the direction of travel in some cases. Water will be forced under the trim as you drive.
