Wilt Chamberlain at the end of his career versus Kareem Abdul-Jabbar at the beginning of his career. For all the people who think the NBA was not great during this era, think again. Both players were dominant in this game. The Lakers were on a 33-game win streak, and the Bucks were the defending champions.
January 9, 1972
Enjoy!
Alone in this game Wilt had 6 blocks and played great defense so I believe he easily had atleast one quintuple-double in his career
No one cares delete the video thanks Boomer
Imagine playing in an area where they didn't bother keeping track of blocks, but doing it anyway because it's a vital part of the game, then later being accused of just being a stat padder.

Incredible find. Wilt Chamberlain is so undervalued in today's world of lists. What an athlete.
No doubt wilt one of the best athletes to ever live. He was also a beast in track in field at that size insane
No he's not. He is on a lot of people top 10 list. This also proves that early on he was playing scrubs,
Àĺaĺ
I know he was 35 but I wasn't impressed by what I saw on the video. Fine, he was past his athletic prime, but his post moves and techniques were pretty limited. He averaged 37 per 36 minutes (he averaged 50 only because he averaged 48 minutes a game!) because every big man back then was unathletic and lumbering. He was one of (if not the) the first athletic big men which gave him a huge advantage. You can see his numbers rapidly going down as the NBA became better and better.
@@benmoore6612, not a bad take. Appreciate the insights.
The fact that a 35 years old Wilt had that kind of mobility defensively is crazy
Lebron almost averaged triple double at 35. Lebron is the GOAT! LOL
@@Joseph-lz5er good thing you put the laugh at the end, otherwise we wouldn't have known that was a joke.
Wilt was still an elite defensive and rebounding force. But far to old for the young Kareem
@@Joseph-lz5er nobody cares.
Not only was Wilt 35, he was playing on one good knee having ruptured his patellar tendon in '70. That was a career threatening injury and Wilt didn't regain his strength and mobility until after he retired and was playing beach volleyball in the deep sand.
When anyone says that Wilt played against inferior competition and lesser athletes, I talk about Wilt, 35 years old, blocking Kareem’s skyhook. Wilt wasn’t just the greatest offensive force the league has ever known, he was the greatest defender as well. He once blocked 26 shots in a single game and had a centuple double. He pulled down 55 rebounds in a finals game against Russell and the Celtics. Probably the greatest athlete of all time.
wilt lost the game that he had 55 rebounds
I agree. He is one of the greatest athletes ever. But because he couldn't win against great teams it'll always go against him

I deal in facts. wilt played along side TWELVE HOFers in his career. was 2 for SIX in finals
It's the quickness of Chamberlain's hands at that age that get me.
Hand quickness doesn't go away unless you get brain trauma or stop exercising. The thing that gets most aging athletes is how slowly their bodies recover from injury. Eventually it gets too bad and they can't perform anymore.
You can see wilt was gassed in the 2nd half while young kareem is still the same
Wilt competing effectively against Kareem at that age tells me Prime Wilt was truly the GOAT Center
Yes definitely
you can't be the goat center and get son-ed by another center in the league for over a decade
also kareem won a FINALS MVP at 38!!! and was an effective playoff starter until he was 41
Wilt dominated a bunch of slow shorter white guys. Shot FT like Shaq. Not a top 10 center.
THE GOAT PERIOD
This is Wilt at 35 playing against Kareem at 25. Wilt had recovered from knee surgery…back then…very scary deal. These two were amazing. When Kareem got it going…what a force. Wilt’s defense was fantastic. The Lakers looked tired later in this game. Missing on some easy plays. Loved hearing Bill in the booth evaluating the game. Awesome recording. Thx!
Wilt and Kareem are lucky the Bad Boy Detroit Pistons were not around at this time because they would have sent Wilt and Kareem to the intensive care unit at the local hospital.
Wilt and Russell were not speaking to each other at the time. I think that they reconciled in about 1989 or 1990. But in 1972, they were estranged.
@habib8961 based on the the foul Chamberlain got for absolutely nothing, the Piston Players would have been kicked out after 5 minutes.
@@dextrosebizarre Laimbeer would have tried to get Wilt thrown out of the game by trying to insult Wilt about how wealthy Laimbeer's family is compared to how poor Wilt's family is and how Wilt's father would have worked for Laimbeer's father.
@@habib8961 In response, Wilt would have scored 50 and blocked every one of his shots. I'm talking the 1962 version.
This game was the end of the Lakers' 33 game winning streak. I remember this game. When Hairston got under Kareem on that one play, Kareem got mad and swung a punch at Hairston. That's when Wilt came running into the picture. Kareem was lucky that he didn't get ejected for that, and that Wilt wasn't a violent guy. Both great players, but it was Wilt who rewrote the record books.
Yup that’s right. No ejection, and they called it a “punching foul” on Kareem. That Lakers team was incredible, breaking the Bucks NBA record winning streak that season as well. It’s pretty crazy how many times Wilt and Kareem went against one another during those few years
I was a 14 year old watching that game, and everything that you said is true. Also the Lakers went on to win the championship that year.
@@deekaymusiclover2481 Hey! We're the same age! I'll never forget when they met again in the playoffs that same season. At age 35 Wilt still was an elite defender. At the same time, while indeed his scoring dropped under 20 pts for the first time, averaging only 15 pts, he did it on an insane .65 efficiency. Also, it wasn't due to lack of capability. In a traditional half court approach Wilt could have still been ellite on the offensive end. Instead, they chose to change his role to a defensive anker and let the rest of the team run the fast break, and by that, play one of the best seasons any NBA team ever has.
Basically the same role that Robinson did for the Spurs in '99. Earlier in the '80s-'90s he used to be the fastest offensive player on the court, as Tim Duncan became the best player on the Spurs, then Robinson changed to be the defense anchor....winning titles in '99 and '03.
😂
Oh my … Wilt, Jabber, Oscar, West, Bill Russell and Keith Jackson commentating in one Game. And my favorite player as a kid - Bobby Dandridge.
More star power than the average all star game
Chamberlain was a freaking giant up under that rim. He barely jumped and he dunked with such ease. This is very cool film of a older version of Wilt Chamberlain and young Kareem. Makes you wonder how good Wilt was in his younger day. I know he was a force to be reckoned with. Kareem was a beast too. I watched him play his last couple years in the NBA. I'm 46 and I remember him shooting that sky hook. That was his signature shot. Great video of 70s basketball. Makes me think of the TV show good times😅
Dont forget in his early days - wilt was quicker and more athletic because he was a lot thinner and only later on , he became the strong bull that everybody knows ..
He averaged 50 a game for an entire season. He never fouled out, he never sat down. People now just really can't even imagine how dominant he was.
" I know he was a force to be reckoned with." I dont know man, using that expression for the most dominant player ever, by far, sounds like a bit of an understatement:)
Over 50 years ago, this game (on January 9th 1972) was something special. Thanks for the upload.
I also remember this game. I was 13 yo at the time and I watched it on tv. It was on a Saturday and I knew the streak was going to end on that day. That Lakers team was so good and dominant. Milwaukee was really good also. Kareem/Alcindor was marvelous, but Wilt changed the game like no one else, before or after.
Right there with you. I was 16 and watched the NBA every Sunday.
I was 15. Saturday game. In awe of Kareem. I was huge Bucks fan.
@lightyears. It's no big deal, but actually it was a Sunday day game in January. The reason I remember that, is because I had to go to church and missed the game. I was 11 at the time, and got to attend quite a few Laker games that year, because I grew up about a 15 minute drive from the Forum. 😊
Yes very nice to watch; I live in The Netherlands and was only be able to listen at the transistor radio late at night because of time difference. Lew Alcindor/Kareem was for me a great player and read first about him in a Reader's Digest article. Now fine to see old games via youtube! Enjoy everybody!
I was then, too. Watched it age 8. PS Jerry West was such a baller.
As a boy, I read a book called "The Big A: Lew Alcindor". He and the Bucks became my favorite team. I remember this game well.
Read the same book, because Lew had become my favorite player when I saw him play as a sophomore at UCLA. Fell in love with both and it was a great ride! Finding out about Sam Gilbert later and that cheapens it a little, but I don't really care as I try not to live in the past.
@@tomault3063 I can't believe I came across someone else who read that book...go Bucks!
And commentary by Bill Russel....Wow what a Game!
Wilt Chamberlain's numbers did not decrease because he couldn't score or the competition was getting better. He became more team oriented (and also had more capable teammates and coaches) and adapted to fit into a system where he was not the sole offensive focus. He led the league in assists later in his career because he wanted to win (and did so whenever he had a good coach with a good system). Look at the way he moves even at that age. Nobody is truly shutting that down, but the whole 50 point thing isn't winning basketball. Five players are harder to stop than one.
Yes that is correct. Wilt was truly a complete basketball player.
Yeah, i will have prefer play more team played if i have jerry west in my team
Unlike the LeFlop who stuill Lestatpad up to now
Chamberlain didn’t shoot much because Bill Sherman was the coach and he wanted the Lakers to play like his old Celtics teams, so West and Goodrich did all the shooting and Chamberlain rebounded, blocked shots, and made assists. That was the system they were supposed to play (and it worked for a 69-13 record and an NBA title).
@@sportsgoats99 "complete" ??? Hmmmmmm,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, winning? fts??? "complete''
So many impressive things about Wilt: the athletism at 35, the fact he had 10 blocks... however if you listen closely you'll hear that Wilt NEVER fouled out of any game he played. That's unbelievable considering his defensive activity. You're talking about maybe one of the most athletic players in the game with that kind of awareness- one of a kind.
And he apparently played 48 minutes a game, never sat.
@@HamptonGuitarswhen the game moved that slow it’s possible. Todays game is fast and athletic they were slow and non athletic compared to todays athletes.
"The two giants did play against each other in one game that season. It came on October 24th, 1969 - before Wilt's injury - and showcased both players and their teams quite nicely. Chamberlain boasted a stunning (but routine for him throughout his career) 25 points and 25 rebounds, while the rookie also posted an impressive 23 points and 20 rebounds... albeit on just 9-of-21 shooting from the field, compared to the veteran's 9-14 ratio. It was a rather even bout, but the Lakers ended up taking the victory, winning by eleven points behind a better overall team effort." As for wilt blocking kareem in 1972... on the way to winning the championship..... Game 3 - Lakers win Wilt Chamberlain: (6 blocks against Jabbar) Game 5 - Lakers win Wilt Chamberlain: (4 blocks against Jabbar) Game 6 - Lakers win Wilt Chamberlain:(3 blocks and 2 steals against Jabbar) In one game, Wilt blocked Kareem's signature move the sky-hook five times.... theres some legendary nba players who didn't manage any blocks on the shy-kook ever....never mind five in a single game....
If blocks had been an NBA stat during Wilt's and Bill Russell's careers they would still be #1 #2.
@edhorton2766, cannot argue with your comment....Kareem had his signature move, only someone like wilt chamberlain was capable of blocking it repeatedly....yes Bill Russell would have to, I've no doubt of that....

I would say Wilt did a pretty good job defensively. I have never seen Kareem miss so many sky hooks.
I would agree 100%. Wilt still brought the heat on defense and it was surprising how this affected the skyhook. I never saw a better shot blocker and intimidator than Wilt. Obviously he could score when he was asked to score, so I will always favor Wilt in these matchups despite the age difference.
People always compare Wilt to Shaq, but Wilt is one of the greatest defensive players in NBA history
@@sportsgoats99 From the Celtics point of view nobody was feared in the paint like Wilt. He could block an incoming SCUD. But although Shaq was undeniably great, he could not bench press nearly as much as Wilt. That tells you who could out muscle the other in those battles in the paint. Wilt would have kept Shaq away from the basket, and that sky hook of Jabar's was his way of getting around that body to body dominance. Good on Jabar, but who could really go body to body with Wilt? Not even Bill! Wilt still got his 20 boards against Bill!

It is not "that" old-but even today, with science regarding training, nutrition, + who knows how often PEDs(drugs/steroids/EPO) deployed...Look at the ADVANCED stats that measure total contributions by players. @@NautiTexas I agree. The dribbling skills now and the amount of moves, like crossovers and Euro steps and step backs and reverse lay ups are just more creative and skilled than what's going on here. I grew up in LA and became a Lakers fan about this time. I really looked forward to the Wilt/Kareem matchups. West became and remains my favorite all-time player. Having the game called by Russell is a nice bonus.
Wilt was the first to rock the headband.

I’ve never seen Kareem miss so many Skyhooks in one game before. Wilt was THAT good.
And the crazy thing is Wilt didn't even jump on like half of them. I can only imagine prime Wilt against Kareem! Kareem was awesome but Wilt was on another level. Imagine both playing against each other in their prime! It can only be done in NBA 2K! Wilt gets the nod btw, I've done 1 on 1's with them, CPU vs CPU on highest difficulty and best of 7. Wilt won 4-2!
@@bryant475 Good point about Wilt not jumping on half Kareem's skyhooks. I wasn't keeping count, but I did notice that Wilt had disrupted some skyhooks before they became skyhooks. more likely Kareem had a bad shooting day. It's like flipping a coin. If you flipped 20 times, although the odds are actually 50-50, sometimes you'll get only 5 heads, sometimes 15 (but 10 in the long run). That's how odds work. No one can "stop" Kareem's skyhook because it's literally out of reach, even for Wilt. The downside is that the shooting percentage isn't as high as a slam dunk or a layup.

Fun to watch . . . again for me . . . as I saw both play many times in my youth. I suppose my main take-away is Wilt was able to alter Kareem's fabulous sky hooks and accounted for some of his misses. In this game match-up, Kareem was dominating, certainly on offense.
Kareem had a tremendous offensive skill set. I’d say that he was the first center to have such fluidity. The way he pivots, jabs steps and fakes, also his first step. Very pure free throw shot, great finger rolls, and good mid range from 14 to 17 feet out. Finally the ungodly skyhook.
Wilt was a banger. He'd wear you down / get u out of rhythm.
Literally in the 1980's teams wanted Wilt to come out of retirement to play in the league....a nearly 50 year old wilt retired sportsman who regularly played in pickup games and still schooled players like Magic.... In todays game they call LeBron a legend but he's 50lbs lighter than Wilt Chamberlain and additional he was several inches smaller but he wasn't faster even with modern footwear technologies.... They recognised that Wilt Chamberlain was able to control the game aswell as Bill Russell at any age and a center who can control the game by rebounding, blocks, steals and assists wins championships....

Kareem did in the second half what Russell pointed out during the mid-time break, and you can tell how much he improved, stopped missing sky-hooks and scoring over Wilt easier
Met Wilt, in 72-3 Oakland Arena. A giant. Russell and Wilt my two goats. The biggest difference back then was they actually called the game by the rules, unlike today. No palming, hand on top of the ball. No traveliing. Offensive fouls called, and over the backs. No handchecking. List goes on. A LOT of the freedom in the players moves now is due to the lack of rule enforcement. Giannis can look really fast when he takes 3-4 giant strides, and travels. Wilt was fast, super strong, and high jumped 6'6"3/4 in college track. He also long jumped. Saying everyone is faster now, etc. is only for people who never played against such players. Secretariat still has the triple crown records from 73. Wilts' abilities as an athlete are unsurpassed. Still has 68 records. Finally the league had a concentration of players. 12 on a team 13 teams, up from 8. 156 spots, not like the 500 plus G-league players. Only the best survived, and a lot of people wanted those spots.
Yes. Only knock on Wilt is his free throw shooting; which would make him a liability late in close games.
real battles in the paint without the 3pt shot. Bring that back, make bball a real man's game again
Really appreciate this footage and comments section with insights and context on this era. I did not realize this was the 33 streak end. Impressed by Wilt’s shot blocking and rebounding. But trophy to Kareem, he struggled but once he got rolling he was filling it up. Most unstoppable shot ever I guess all you do to counter is an early double disrupt his rhythm. Lots of other players in this game that were legends in their own right.
Lakers played the night before on the road, can't remember who, but playing back to back games on the road is a recipe for a loss. It showed in the 2nd half, they looked gassed.
@@EDAHSC yep that will always have an impact. Just ask Greg P in San Antonio! Master of managing minutes.
Not only two GOATs going at each other, but a GOAT commenting, Bill Russell.
Out with the old and in with the new. One legend to another.
Out with both of them.
I watched this game as it happened, saw both Wilt and Jabbar play, in person. Jabbar when he was still with Milwaukee (1971).
that's incredible.
Wilt was 2 yrs awsy from retiring, having recently come of serious injury. He was 35 and playing against a prime 25 yr old. Yet, he held his own. If Wilt was 25 and Kareem was 35 like vs Boston in the 80s, Wilt would have emvarassed him easily.
and kareem on 1968 phila and 1969 lakers / 1970 lakers / 1973 lakers would have won as wilty wilted,,,,wilty wilted,,,,,,,,,,,,,, terrible in game 6 & 7 1968,,,,in 1969 wilty scored 11.7 PPG,,,,,,1973 wilty 11.6 PPG,,,wilty overrated to the max/ Best rebounder ever,,,, this game shows wilts shortcomings as a shooter. Kareem eats him up
I think Wilt retired next season actually, in 1973
That Skyhook was damn-near impossible to block.
yet old man Wilt blocked it 5 times in one game!
All he did was miss 90% of them. Seem like he became the alltime leading scorer because he shot so damn much.
He hadn't really perfected the sky hook at this point. He's still trying to square up to the basket.
Just awesome! At 63 years old, this brings back so many memories of the early days of televised nba games.
Two absolute legends. Love it!
Hot garbage is what I see here
Dont forget west and the big O - there were 4 legends .. not sure baylor played .
Kareem later perfected that sky hook. It was unstoppable with the Lakers.
Prime Kareem's "unblockable shot" blocked five times in one game by old man Wilt. He "perfected it on the lakers." More like he perfected it the day Chamberlain retired.
@@AnHebrewChild I watched the whole 18min video and I don't see where Wilt blocks Karrem's sky hook 5 times. In fact I don't think he blocked the sky once.
GOAT - Keith Jackson. Wilt was a great player. People only remember Kareem for his Skyhook they don't remember all of his other moves, defense, and free throw shooting.
🔥 the changing of the center position.. then from The Captain came The Dream.. from The Dream came Shaq.. and from Shaq.. the transition of the big man .. Duncan- Gasol- Bosh- Davis- Giannis- Jokic
I remember this game man, good times.
"Lists are for losers. Greatness speaks for itself." - GOAT Chamberlain
Just imagine the old-time greats being allowed to dribble under today's rules
FANTASTIC PIECE OF HISTORY
Thanks for sharing the video, this is legendary!
Wilt at 35 years old had like 6-7 blocks? I saw 6 for sure. Anyone who didn't think he averaged 10 a game 10 years earlier is nuts
Not to mention that his opponent in this game is the most difficult shot to block in history.
@@mattcorcoran7082 Right, and this was off a 33 winning streak. It made me more impressed with Wilt. He casually blocked 6 shots, if they recorded blocks in the 60's he would have easily been the All time leader, although Hakeem is still great and deserves respect.
Yep, real difficult against 6 footers that dribble with one hand and have no jumping ability 👋
@@kimjongun2946 Kareem & Oscar?
@@kimjongun2946 LOL 3 blocks came against Kareem though
If wilt were 25 no player in history would have a chance he averaged 50 and 25 rebounds for the entire season Shaq would get the wake up call of his life.
Shaq would have bodied Wilt
Shaq is like 40 pounds heavier than wilt. He is a myth and he wasn’t that great. There are so many lies about Wilt. He wasn’t as special as you think just ahead of his time. Javale McGee would be considered wilt if they switch places.
OF…HIS…LIFE!!!! As well as EVERYBODY else!!!!
He would have just wore shams fat butt out. After first quarter Shaq would be begging for oxygen
@@blackpill1420Tell it Phil Jackson and Jerry West, both of whom had front-row seats to both careers, and both of whom stated that Wilt would have ran Shaq.
Wow great find and a classic moment. The game that broke L.A.'s 33-game streak. But that season of 1971-72 belonged ENTIRELY to the Lakers. Went 69-13 en route to an NBA title. Guards Goodrich and West EACH averaged over 25 ppg. Wilt the stilt averaging nearly 15 and 20 for the year at the twighlight of his career.
Kareem in his prime was a monster!
Hell nah from what am seeing I would rather have Hakeem, Wilt or Embiid in my starting 5 team over Kareem
thats because U are ablivet. he just destroyed wilt and U pick wilt??? LOLOLOLololol...... feb 1986 at houston: kareem scores 46 on olajuwon and 7'4 ralph sampson --on 3o shots,,kareem was 2 months shy of 39,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, 39,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,39-- scoring 46 on two HOFers.@@calebdejoun939
kareem scores 46 on 30 shots vs olajuwon and sampson in feb 1986......... kareem 39 yrs old, you lose again
Awesome, two legends! Is that Keith Jackson doing play by play? I think so
Keith Jackson: "Bill, if you were in the game, how would you have played his shot. Bill Russell: "Keith, if I was in the game, he wouldn't have taken that shot." LMAO!! #goat
I felt like I was watching a "red zone" style of broadcast....I love it, not sure why more don't this style. Very intense. Good job!
That looked like a playoff game. Both teams not giving in to the other. It's a shame Jabbar opted out of Milwaukee. The group they had would have competed for several NBA titles.
Right. Thats my problem with todays regular season. There is zero effort. The team with the better 3p% that night wins.
You can tell that the lakers were tired after giving max effort winning 33 in a row.
Wilt at 35, playing for years in those Chuck Taylors, and still jumping. When I was about 35, I decided to try playing in the Chucks again. My knees were killing me after 30 minutes, and Wilt probably had 100 pounds on me. I love Chucks, but they have no cushion. If he, Kareem, and many of the other older guys, played with today's sneaks, they would have lasted a lot longer, and prolly had more spectacular plays. The guy who invented the waffle iron sole, initially used by Nike I think, should be in the basketball Hall of Fame.
Wilt is by far the greatest professional athlete ever. Freak of nature
Without the 3-point line, we'd go back to centers dominating again. It's a different game now, and none other than Kareem has admitted as much by giving almost total kudos to Steph Curry--his amazing 3-point abilities (all abilities yes), have turned the game into an outside shooting gallery.
So you're rather see the game dominated by the genetically gifted 0.001% of the population, than have players of different sizes being able to impact the game?
@@DonLee1980 Ummm.... NO. I certainly didn't mean that. Kareem spoke of Steph's accomplishments in extremely good light. He admires the new players. Kareem is really not about his era being so incredible etc....he's very humble.
Reduce the rim's diameter by 1 inch.
wilt had taken a back seat in scoring that year, just 14.8, 4th on the team, he'd only play one more year, elgin baylor's last year, jerry west retiring with wilt... kareem in his prime, you could tell he was rushing his shot in the first half, he'd get better rhythm in the 2nd half.. wilt still getting great block coverage with his athleticism and wingspan.
Thank you for posting this video
OMG, Wilt just cleaned up on the boards, what a rebounder.
jabbar missed a lot of sky hooks in a row
39 points/ dominated wilty in second half,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, 2 months later kareem drilled wilty for FIFTY points,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, no one else even came close to that
Wilt is the GOAT.
how can he be the goat, when the rules was changed about the offensive 3 sec, he no longer dominated, while Jordan, under same rule, dominated and overcame better Centers then Wilt the wilt?
You can tell Wilt is a step behind in certain spots but still a beast at 35 😮.
CLASSIC HISTORY
All i can see in this video is an older wilt Chamberlain been an all around better player than jabbar except for the offense, better shot blocker, better rebounder, better passer, all jabbar did was that ugly skyhook and he missed a lot , particularly in that game🤷🏾♂️
Fascinating look in to the past. Thanks for this. Lakers kept their starters in until the end even down 20+ pts. Is this the nature of the league back then or only because they had a 33 game win streak and playing till the end was a symbolic thing?
1) Never say die attitude; 2) Less rest for stars then. People paid to see them play. 3) Wilt wouldn't want to go out. He was used to playing the whole game.
@@AndyZach I'm guessing there was no "load management" back then? Lol
Wilt never fouled out of a game while playing nearly all 48 minutes of a game. Once he was retired he said I wonder what could I have done if I had rested more, and I agree
People then never gave up never surrendered. Play until the end of the game. Most people don't upstand that today. They didn't want to come out they where competitors.
Those were players who loved and wanted to play bball, no mercenaries who only did it for fame & money.
And Bill Russell on the mic talking about them. Legends All three. Four counting Jerry West. My fave. I wore 44 on all my bball jerseys because of West.
Dont leave Oscar out ;)
兩大天王中鋒對决,張伯倫.賈巴,真是精彩絶倫。
I think that 25 years old Wilt easly win with 25 years old Kareem
Keep in mind young wilt was more athletic but also much lighter and weaker than older wilt.
When Wilt was 25, there was no one his size nor with Kareem's skill level. Its hard to make that comparison
maybe; maybe not,, wilt was not a great shooter and kareem was quicker and more fluid on his feet
Wilt was a good shooter but also played 48 minutes, there's no denying at some points he was exhausted and missed shots he would've normally made.
They called traveling back in the day.
Thanks for the footage! 😮
