Just like most ppl, they can’t tell the difference between good or bad vocals and good or bad sound system. Vocals coming out of a PA are very hard to get to sound good or clear. It’s so much harder than any instrument. That’s why even some pros with much better sound systems than this sound shitty live. If this kid sang this in a studio with a studio mic and equalizers everyone would be talking about how great he sounds. And on the flip side these ppl think garbage singers with nothing but auto tune and compressors sound great when they actually blow. Kid did a great job.

12 year old boy : hold my fidget spinner!!!!
Bet I can
That's funny Dave
As long as 12 yr old kids perform music like that, there still is hope...
This is one of my Favorite songs of when I was these kids age! So cool to see kids putting respect on this!! These kids will be playing at your local Arena in 10-15 yrs!!!
I like how at 4:56 his parents return from their picnic and are just like 'oh Stratton and the boys are holding a rock concert in our garage again'
😂
Hehe.
I can’t fucking stop laughing at this comment 🤣😭
Hahah great comment
Hahahahaha best comment ever.
Imagine being in a band at that age with a lead player like that and a lead singer like that, you would be the luckiest 12 year olds on the planet
Hey, it’s Stratton the lead guitarist in the Sweet Child O Mine video. I’m 17 now. Thanks for watching my channel, and thanks for commenting! Man I am envious. Even 20 years ago in So Cal we had the cops called when the first song was playing when I went and jammed with my drummer. I used to fight my parents about reporting local bands. I figured as long as it was reasonable hours, let it be. I still do even though I am one of those parents now LOL. Hell, I wish my daughter would get out there she has a great voice. Also, the rhythm guitarist is pretty kick ass too.
No luck involved Mr Sargebaxter………..hours and hours of practice and determination. Great turn out Stratton!!!
Stratton you nailed this song along with the rest of your band. By the looks of the large crowd they enjoyed it too. I love seeing younger generation pick up where we left off. Long Live Rock!
Here’s a newer one from James Stratton. He’s getting better and better! kzhead.info/sun/lZerocWMkaaIrHA/bejne.html

love the way the lead guitar dude just walks up front for his solos. what a boss!
Also walks off to let the singer take front and center right after. Respect.

NAILED the solo. And the sunburst Les Paul was the cherry on top. Singer's got a rockstar voice. The boys are going somewhere! I'll pray they find success (if they haven't already found it). Props to ALL the band members. You're all extremely talented.
Seriously, I was entertained up until the guitar solo. At which point I was blown away. Unbelievable. Great job!
The bassist was way out of tune
Love to see those kids all in on a tough song to cover. Love it. Great job guys.
Love it! These kids will be among the few of their generation to play real instruments, with talent! Keep jammin fellas!

Nice to see that the younger generation still appreciate good music.

I like how you are being so deep but your not. It’s mainly just personal preference. Some people might like rap but some people might like this.
Who else is just now seeing this in 2020? Incredible the talent these days. 👊
The guitarist killed it. He was the best part!

My gosh I don’t know if the 12 years old is accurate, but anyone that has an ear for music at all knows full well that the guitarist has a real future as a musician.

Not enough people are talking about how good that kids voice is
Bruh
Because his voice was nothing special.
VonTonSoup Agreed
Just like most ppl, they can’t tell the difference between good or bad vocals and good or bad sound system. Vocals coming out of a PA are very hard to get to sound good or clear. It’s so much harder than any instrument. That’s why even some pros with much better sound systems than this sound shitty live. If this kid sang this in a studio with a studio mic and equalizers everyone would be talking about how great he sounds. And on the flip side these ppl think garbage singers with nothing but auto tune and compressors sound great when they actually blow. Kid did a great job.

Yea fr they couldn't get him a regular mic stand for maximum swag? The gooseneck was killing me
He is right in the middle of a voice change at his age, But he had a fabulous sounding voice broken only by that change. I could tell he also knows where the notes are and hears himself correctly but, by far his best attribute is that he is fearless and full of energy. this video is old. I guarantee you he sings like rock and roll clown today. The whole band was killer.
can't say the same for the videographer
For all those who say that rap killed rock, and that rock is old people's music, this is proof that they are wrong, because in the world there are still young people with good taste and a lot of talent, we just need to support them
As an older woman👩🦳 who saw dozens upon dozens of famous bands starting in 1967 thru th 1990s (Led Zep, & Humble Pie, Alice Cooper, etc) & fronted several hardrock bands back in th 80s; I can't tell you how HAPPY😃this makes me to see th younger generation playing good ol' rock music! 🎶 Yeaaaaa!👏 Well Done!👍 Keep at it, DON'T get discouraged, & don't giv up!
