In today's video, I'll be taking you through the final touches I've made on the van. And have fun while doing it. While I am the one to talk you through the project, start work on it and film it all, Jr. Wigi is the one to edit the video together.
We hope you all enjoy this episode of our new project series.

  • My word, that is a superb job, you have some amazing skills. I remember the Willow Green and Grey Vans and Pickups from the mid 60s and the gaps were far from perfect when they were factory new. Thank you for posting.

  • I have a 1967 Mini Traveler steelside - that is the station wagon ordered with the "delete wood trim" option selected. That was common here in Canada due to winter upkeep issues, while the upgraded heater (3.5 kw?) was also commonly selected. They both show up on my Heritage Certificate. Vans were very uncommon here, while the Parks Department here in Toronto ran several white pickups.

  • Great work, i customized and restored 8 minis a few years back and bought herigtage panels from Moss Bro's and had too modify most panels but they were better than after market replicas. Just restoring a Lambretta TV 175 a the moment and the panels are a nightmare and not cheap . Loving your work and attention too detail 👍.

  • It's been a great pleasure to see an expert sheet metal worker at his craft. A pleasure also to see your painstaking attention to detail to get things just right without resorting to body filler. I remember watching the fully painted new Mini van and Pick up bodies arriving at Longbridge by lorry from Fisher and Ludlow's factory at Castle Bromwich in the 1970's. It was a common sight to see three or four lorries standing on the Bristol Road waiting to unload. Most of the bodies were painted blue or grey. Willow green is a lovely but more unusual colour. I look forward to the next instalment.

I'll be catching up with it again later in the year at a Mini show to film the final result which will be shown here. meanwhile I am deep into a Mk1 Mini body restoration of which the first video will be showing next week

When you made certain the loom clips were correct , l knew you were a man after my own heart ! It's incredible the panels you can get today . So do you lap join the rear quarters ?
