If you’re in your home right now, could you do us a favor? Look around it. Take it all in. Look at all the stuff you have in it, where your bed, kitchen, bathroom, whatever you have there, take a look and appreciate what you have. As you all know, there are millions upon millions of people in the world who don’t have homes, and it’s a sad thing to witness. Then, there are those who have the most extravagant homes possibly and we go, “Really, though?” And then, there are the people who have homes…but those homes aren’t exactly the most…standard affairs that you can picture. So with that in mind, allow us to show you the 20 Strangest Places Where People Actually Live.

The people in Brazilian favelas are the nicest, most respectful, humble people you could ever meet. I am an American and bought a house in Jacare, the 2nd largest favela, and i don’t even have to lock my doors. Believe it or not the favelas have a code of honor where, theft, robbery, $exual Assault and “touching” minors is totally unacceptable and violators get dealt with by the community. As long as you know SOMEONE who lives there or respected there you are VERY SAFE!
That's exactly what makes them dangerous, the " as long as you know someone" part. If a place sees a stranger and immediately feels the need to harm them because they don't anybody there?! Just stay away from there. I say this will all due respect. I'm in SA, born and bread, and I would not dare go to the Cape Flats without "someone known there" because Cape Flats are dangerous just like the favelas, simple as that.
Should be like that everywhere❤❤❤❤
what happens if you do not know someone there and you end up there by mistake. How safe are you then?
@@richard-eb9nx Becareful, he's gonna delete your comment like he did to mine. He'd like everyone to believe this fairytale.

Coober Pedy underground homes are awesome. I live about 540 kms south of Coober Pedy. My sister did a trip to Darwin back in 2007. Coober Pedy was one of our stop overs. We were given a tour of one of the homes.
My family and I visited Coober Pedy in 2009...we also had a tour of one of the houses, was amazing.... The room we stayed in was an experience of a life time.
Shows that the Cost of Housing Is an Important Concern All Over the World... Housing Costs!!!
People with the least seem to be the richest in all other areas of life & have what no money can buy. Blessed are they 💜
I won't even ask how the sewerage system works on those favelas hanging off the cliffs. 😱
HEADS UP 😂😂😂. 💩 COMING DOWN ..

But now we’re all thinking about it.
The s bucket ,portable toilet 😂
Odd? Maybe, but all are fascinating & have their own style of beauty. Thanks for sharing!
Style and beauty and plain dangerous
From the sky to the underground, from the hot to the cold.. thats human
That place in Siberia looks like it never gets warm and idk how they stay warm in those below freezing temperatures! MyGod how do they change their children when they have soiled themselves and you know they don’t have diapers! 😳 respect!
I meant the ppl living in tents probably don’t have diapers
SIBERIAN PRISONS ARE H--LL , THEY MAKE THE PRISONERS GO OUTSIDE AND EXERCISE IN THE LIKE -30 DEGREE WIND CHILLS ..😮😮 AT 5 AM .EEEEEEE........
Why wouldn't they have diapers? It isn't a third world country, it is Russia. Why would they freeze? They all live in very well heated houses. Nobody stays outside at night in the freezing cold.
He says extreme, so it gets warmer 😅
Regarding Sealand, I would like to know how they get supplies and food.
I visited 2 out of the 20 places... Coober Pedy, Australia and Ponti Viccho, Italy.... Both experiences were amazing.
Blows my mind how people build homes on rocks or just that church alone is mind blowin. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I like the channel, but I wish you would cease the centipede stuff.
Yeah that creeped me out! And why???
@@ducatirottie Just one of YTs annoyances. Maybe this guy will get the message.
Ditto!
@@cherylgraham8059 Is kinda silly.🙄
I'm sorry, but I agree with the other people here. The comment about a centipede really BUGS me. If anyone ever yells "Raid!", look out for the bug spray.
I thank God every day for what we have we worked hard to get it.
Some wild places. Some very beautiful too. Also scary. The cloning shouldn't be a surprise considering China pretty much copies everything from everywhere lol. It is kind of weird that more of the people don't want to move tho. Other than the money aspect. Aren't they like the most populated or OVERpopulated country? Them and India. Weird. Thanks for the vid😉
I wouldn’t want to be a sleepwalker there!
Put an unhappy person in a wonderful house in the best suburb.....they remain unhappy. It's about contacting your pure core in meditation until you are free and joyful....not about what you own.
Isn't that 🗣️📢 SPECIAL🙈

I'd Love To Travel/Live Full Time In A 96 Person Enclosed Lifeboat That Is Fully Enclosed Inside A Big Overland Box Truck As My Off-Grid Storm Bunker Tiny Home So I Can Be Safe and Warm As I Drive My Home Around The USA and Away From Flood Zones Plus I Love YA KZhead Lots and Lots and Lots and Lots and Lots
that sounds good up to a point , but if there is a EMP from the sun or a nuke your electronics in your vehicle will be fried unless it is an older vehicle and you have spare a condenser , plugs and points stored in foil or a Faraday pouch....this is not a slash , just a heads up...
I love it! Here’s to living life to the fullest! 🎉
Some of these homes are pretty spectacular though!
There’s a huge house a few blocks away that actually rotates to always face the sun… it’s so cool…. It sits on top Of a huge hill
Where is that,please??😊💜😊💜
There is a custom-built house in San Diego on Mt. Helix, which can rotate 360 degrees thanks to being set on a construction crane base. There have been features filmed about it.
Still only going to get half the sun on their house though, right? Sounds interesting though, and would be cool to see it.
#7 "...without electricity." I guess those windmills are useless!
Windmills operate using power from the wind, obviously.
Who's walking up 8000 steps?
The world needs more monks.
No
Bless it
I'm Brazilian and I want to say that your description of the favela is right on the money😂!
Thank you for being honest. They sound like our Cape Flats here in South Africa.
No me, i dont want to rule anyone or anything. I just want a quiet peaceful life, like most people!
24:30 Hallstatt, China. I would love to live there. I would have to go out of the area at least once a month for items or have them delivered, but either way. I love places like this. It's not too crowded, just perfect. It is a good idea, but the company of government needs to stop focusing on making the Rich happy and instead make everyone happy. You give the regular Chinese people the opportunity to live there, and they would.
Hallstatt is in Austria , not China .
Gives a new meaning to "living on the edge".
As long there are no earthquakes
How strange is this but at the same time amazing un believable and beautiful 🎉❤🎉❤
THOSE 2 TEMPLES ON THOSE HI ROCKS 😮😮😮😮 NO WAY FOR ME !!!!! THATS INSANE ...
I'm surprised some of those favelas do not have devastating fires. I doubt there is any fire proofing, the structures are wood, and most cooking is with charcoal or fire. If there is any electricity I doubt it is installed in a safe manner. If one structure at the bottom caught on fire it would quickly run up and spread out all the way to.the top.
How wonderful and beautiful places in this world.❤ God blessed 🙏
I really loved their perspectives.
Thankyou for pronouncing Coober Pedy correctly 🇦🇺💜
The Freedom Cove and Sealand documentaries I've seen are very in-depth and informative. Thanks for sharing!
Very best video and very good information
Wow , cool video. Thanks for sharing 👍 ❤ ...
Those stacked homes in Brazil wouldn’t last one spring in Oklahoma. 🌪

Wow amazing video you shared with us, such unique buildings around the World.
So in the thumbnail image, I would expect none of these people drive a car.
Nah... They go to work in a parachute 😅😂 !!!

Ah klasse! schönes, kurzes video. Danke! Gucke ich immer wieder gerne rein
These are truly amazing places that people actually live in! Wow!
Constantly changing the angles and viewpoints does not allow viewers to actually see. Very annoying
Aweeeee… Make your own videos then .
@SharperMind, It's hard to concentrate & truly anoying looking into the videos.
How do people get to and from these homes in mountains?
I’m from the U.S.; been to the Rhocina Favelas with a guide: stood on that bridge as a POC thinking “Woww, it’s crazy how we are oppressed everywhere!” It was heartbreaking & difficult to move through (those stairs were steep & BRUTAL), but also pleasing & humbling to see the people who live there, who look more like me (something I didn’t see much of outside of there) & spend a day with them while supporting those small mom&pop shops. What a humbling experience. 🙏🏽❤️
Fascinating !
Very informative. Thanks. Subscribed.
Amazing!
In the Bucharist tunnel, I love that guys Tin Foil hat!😅
I’m sure I’m definitely not the only one that sees that if one house falls, the rest may be in trouble. I.
My thoughts about this, is that if you don't have a house for children, you shouldn't be having SO MANY of them !!! It's VERY obvious that there's A LOT of people who don't understand that.... there's a very serious overpopulation problem on this Earth in certain places..... these people REALLY need to be educated about this... The MAIN thing that will TRULY help these people who have to live like this, is to provide BIRTH CONTROL for them, Now that would really help a lot.... then the people in these heavily overpopulated countries would be able to live better lives...❤
US evangelicals are doing everything they can to prevent any form of choice or birth control.
The lodge on the island near Iceland "was built so that people could hunt the wildlife on that island".....which....is barren...
puffins perhaps
In rich countries the rich people live on the hills. In poor countries the poor people live on the hills. I'm not sure why that is, but that is how it is.
Who wants to drown in a flood on lowlands,it's happened many times around the world, secondly it's the mere scenery, the high you go the best scenery you get without hindrance also the freedom you experience just like the eagle. Not so difficult to fathom
@@sibusisogumede You're telling me why rich people live on the hills. So what is the reason that in poor countries it is the poor people who live on the hills?
@@yowzephyr shortage of available land chief
& in many extremely impoverished countries,, poor people live on & around some of the most beautiful beaches in the world you'd have to pay millions for here in the states,, if even available. It's called geography & all people are not created equal..
@@roberharpane3524 It is interesting how poor vs rich works. In the late 1700s lobster was very cheap and considered poor peoples' food. Some people who ate lobster would bury the lobster shells in their yard instead of putting it out in the trash because they were ashamed and didn't want their neighbors to see it.
That's wild! I've actually heard of three of these, two from KZhead. Kiun B festures Yakutsk. And i think Jstu showed the island fort.
It’s freaking me out just looking at it.
OMG! That Brazilian Favella . All I can see is EARTHQUAKES !
All I want to know is where the toilet water goes after flushing a deuce if you stay on the cliff??
Where does sewage go?
I wonder about that as well. Anybody know the answer?
My guess is downhill! lol

I"m surprised that it wasn't mentioned that Mahtmata was the location of the moisture farm on which Luke Skywalker was raised in the original Star Wars movie.
I was there 9 years ago. Tunisia is awesome. It was in Berber household.

I watched the whole video to see the homes featured on face of add and it was not there.

This is a nice video,,,, Very cool🙂🇺🇲
fantastic work ktriwcam
Those hovels on the cliff face look exactly like the ones in southeast outskirts of Mexico City, on the way to Taxco
Excellent
They picked the wrong place for number 11. That house should be up closer to the cliff and on flat land. What's the point of walking 100 yards to get to the house. It should be on the level ground.
What about Igloos?
Yakutsk (Якутск) is very easy to pronounce it. It is like "Yakootsk" in english but this city is is 1200 km (almost the same as Seattle-Sacramento distance) from the diamond mine you showed which it is in Mirnyj (Мирный) say it like in english "Meernee"
I just don't see the logic behind feeling even better about oneself because others may not have homes. Especially when the cause of the fact, is the policy that everyone is pressured into partaking in the economy and not due to an insufficiency of resources. It should be depressing.
I live in the top tier to the right.
1:03 that's ABSOLUTELY, 1000% sure, NOT BRAZIL
How often are there...rock slides???😳
amazing
Interesting. I'm surprised more people don't build underground like at Cobar Pedy.
Very good video 👍
I'm wondering about their food situation in these places!!!😱
There's a place in Puerto Rico called the Pearl. Is in old San Juan 🇵🇷
Boring bored commentary ruins this very good video, turned sound off played my own music, Brilliant result. Geoff
This is very heart breaking in Brazil slums and elsewhere. This is because the government does not give a darn about the people. Life really doesn't have to be like that. This is a big spacious world 🌍 not the lies they keep feeding to the masses. People have a God given right to be happy on the planet.
I'm Brazilian and been to the favelas and it's more dangerous to tourist and cops then to locals...
How are their bathrooms working in those houses stacked up on top of each other like that? Shits crazy...

Why is it sad that ppl live in these places? They have been living like this for thousands of yrs. When you are born who said you get a decent place to live?
You should have mentioned "Slab City" near Salton Sea in California!😂
I saw the place in Siberia in another video. I could not believe the -60°
I would of loved to watch this interesting documentary but the fast shots and the glib comments put me off so sorry, because some of the pictures looked amazing. Slow down guys, and show us the places with a little attention to details? And please rehearse your comments, thank you, grazie, muchas gracias, merci, danke shoen and harigato...ciao
😢It a totally a death traps in these places.Even only 4-5 earthquakes points are happening.
Clustered cliff shacks = one earthquake or a faultily fastened domicile and its a disaster-> just waiting to happen...!

How about the mud or clay house in the northern part of turkey? You did not choose wisely..
