Vitor has a good eye, this one could become a real stunner! I'm already planning my summer kitchen ( where the rabbit hutches are) and a lovely rock garden featuring those beautiful boulders. I'd want to start the restoration by having all three roofs done, and the interior brick walls removed - that would allow the rest of the work to be done at a more leisurely pace, allowing plans to change as one lived there for a while, getting a feel for the best ways to proceed. This is a special place, and will make the lucky new owners a very beautiful home.
This is a great idea, to live there to get the best feel for the place and how it might change through the seasons, love it! Our plans changed over time as we lived here longer ❤️

I would lower the roof on the large shed taking out the top level, but keep the small shed as is because it's all stone.
That's originally what it was like I think. There is so much space for a beautiful home in doing that.

I feel like such a mess I can't find the courage to film myself. There, I've said it.
@destino2portugal no I'll not have that from you Nick your not a mess and I've seen you on film in mirrors etc. So deep breaths and say to yourself that all is well. Then when you feel up to it get the camera out and press that magic button and start off by telling us all how you feel and only when you feel up to it record the intro that you need. People will understand that you don't feel well but you have to get on film and tell them they are all waiting for you to film the intro that you say you need time to get yourself sorted but to do nothing will turn people away because we all see you on here all the time doing your homes for sale and think all is well so why not your home. So please nick think of your viewers and give them a video even if it's only 2 min of your time then they'll understand what they say. Big hugs to you Nick.
Really super property for the price. With some cleanup plus a cooker and a fridge you could live in this while renovating. The front courtyard could be amazing and the neighborhood looks great.

Nice compact plot offering scope. I like the old vernacular stone building of Portugal, but the 20th century additions are appalling. Something very drastic must have happened culturally and economically to descend from such beautiful craftsmanship and use of natural materials to the shoddy work and poor quality materials so often seen on property and lifestyle videos you tube and property websites.
I agree, some practice I see on youtube are awful 😖 also, tijolo are horrendous 😢

Sarah and Nick don't talk or do videos anymore it's been maybe a year since they quit doing videos Nick has videos with a couple different people. Realtors and Sarah is doing her own videos with another gal and Sarah videos are under the name of casa Rural

The bricks 🧱 they used are not structural bricks. The ones here have holes going from side to side. Structural bricks are required to have the holes going up to down, which allows metal tubes and cement to go through them and tie correctly to the floor. I'm sorry if I don't express myself properly , I hope you get the idea.
They are called tijolo here and yes, it all needs taking down, I think we said that 👌

And you have to remember these walls with these bricks were probably made a long time ago 50 to 70 years ago or more 😅
@@kathifailor4660 they are not structural. The blocks of stones, have helped a lot. I seriously doubt the bricks have been there that long. It is not something Portuguese used in this manner.
