Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) and tabloid reporter Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox) survived the events of the first "Scream", but their nightmare isn't over yet.

Courtney really gave some amazing acting in Scream 2, she had some great comedic moments, sweet moments and played ‘scared’ so well !! She’s so underrated

It didn't for me because I do not count anything after Scream 3. Beyond that trilogy, it's all a big compilation of brutal kill scenes. And they lean on it like a crutch because they milked the "Sidney story arc" dry. Now, they have nothing. Killing Dewey was a decision out of desperation, nothing more. If they could have made his death meaningful, like protecting Sidney and Gale during an attack, that would have been fine. This 5cream was hot garbage

Scream 2 was a damn solid sequel. It had more suspense than any of the other three installments. That's why i personally like 2 than the original. Reasons: - Cop car scene, - Gale Weather's chase scene, - CiCi's whole sequence - Randy's death scene - Mrs. Loomis vs Sidney.
Plus the opening scene which was as iconic as the opening scene of Scream 1

I liked how the Ghostface sliced the air and how Gale Weathers can think on her feet so quickly. Making her one of the hardest final girls to kill in the Scream Franchise. Mrs. Loomis was pissed when she couldn't get to Gale after stabbing Dewey.

it makes it scarier for Gale to see Ghostface desperate to kill her when she knows the killings aren't even about her, which we then found out about Mrs. Loomis' motive to kill both Sydney and Gale as revenge. Genius!

The only thing that has ever bothered me about this scene is Dewey is banging on the glass and absolutely no sounds can be heard. One minute later the killer is banging on the glass and loud thuds.

@@louis5694 correct, its a sound proof room but for it to be soundproof the room has to be cutoff from the other rooms, and the door being opened let's any sound come in, which results in you hearing the glass being hit from the other side

1:44 - You can hear a ferocious feminine-sounding growl as the killer strikes Dewey. This, along with how the killer seems so desperate to kill Gale and Dewey (Gale especially) made me deduce that the killer here is definitely Mrs Loomis. Since Mickey was going after Sidney and Hallie at the same time.

See this is what has been missing in the scream franchise since the 2nd movie.. a great chase suspense scene like this.. in an environment you aren't familiar with, ghostface looking for you but doesn't quite know where you are.. this is just brilliant. Its a shame that all the sequels after had ghostface always knowing where their victims are so they just surprise jump scare them. This for me is so much better

@@Michael-cz6ob well, the only suspense way ain't by Ghostface not knowing where ye are, ye know.... Fer instance, the beginning of Scream 4 is great. He constantly calls them on phone and they're too much scared. But as he speaks, a plot-twist turns out to be real and he jumps out of the wardrobe of the very hot slightly-black-skinned blonde sexy girl whose building was right across theirs and takes her guts out and all the crew has to watch it while screaming and being able to do nothing to save her. That is a great plot twist. Also, at Scream 3, after the house was compeletely exploded at night time, Ghostface attacked some of them near cars but soon as Dewey came, he disappeared instantly. That is great too, becaue soon as they turn away from Ghostface, I had thought he would get them from behind but, seems like he thought taking out them all at the same time would be very hard and instead, backed off. Also, the beginning of the 3rd movie is great, Sidney (whom I Also find very very hot) lives in the middle of nowhere and gets calls from women to help them. But one of the calls turns into the speak of Ghostface threatening her. That was pretty terrifying, imagine all the horror she could get through at that moment. She looked around and forest etc... Plus, again a very iconic but not so much popular scene, Sidney wanders through the film set fer Stab franchise, and she enters the room that has been made as Sidney's character's film room, and suddenly, there is an entity, not the Ghostface, but a ghost itself, and with a scary voice: Come to mother.... That scene was pretty scary, if ye put yerself in Sidney's shoes.

Do you mean Olivias death when ghostface jump scares her out the closet? If so that kill makes no sense anyway because one of the killers Jill is watching from another house so we are supposed to believe it's Charlie.. OK so we see Olivia arrive home on the phone to Jill with those cops waiting outside watching her.. she opens her front door and goes straight upstairs in a real time phone conversation with no cuts so there's no way Charlie could get in that closet before she got upstairs.. what messes this scene up even more is those cops watching the house outside claimed as omivia arrived home and went inside they saw the killer and chased him around the back of the house and lost him.. so again there's no way Charlie managed to lure those cops away from the house double back and run up Olivias stairs into her closet before she got there it's physically impossible. Most of scream 4 is just forgettable..the characters I mean boring Trevor is a total miscast.. Maureen Prescotts sister.. you would think she would have some good storytelling scenes right.. nope most pointless character ever. You could literally ignore scream 4 from the franchise and you wouldn't even notice anything is amiss there's no character development or anything. Scream 3 well that is just a big mess too, you can tell they filmed most of the scenes with the idea of 2 killers being in the movie before changing that idea after which meant most of the scenes in the movie with ghostface attacking seem like there shoukd be 2 killers.. like that house blowing up.. how did ghostface manage to set that gas stove on, kill the bodyguard.. send faxes.. magically appear at the bottom of the hill ect in record time with nobody seeing? When Sidney throws him through a doorway on rhag scream set attack she turns around and somehow ghostface in record time is in the bedroom next to her dressed as her dead mum.. again sorry no that's impossible that's another scene that they filmed with 2 killers in mind. It's never explained how the kill got Sidneys number to call her home. Can I recommend you go on a channel called ZACK CHERRY and watch his scream who kill who videos? He's the best I've ever seen at breaking down all the details and potholes in scream you'll learn so much and see things alot differently

❤ the Inventiveness! Craven was a MASTER of staging Horror scenes. I doubt any future director of any future installments will ever be able to replicate just how clever Craven was in putting a scene together.

The fact that Dewey survived 2 attacks from the killers in prior movies made me think he was gonna survive the attack in the new film. So his death really didn't get much of a reaction out of me when it happened.

@@mac_s7772 It's Debbie. In the scene before this you can hear woman grunts when Ghostface trips and misses trying to stab Gale and when Gale hits her with the phone.
Mrs. Loomis only did two attacks. Randy's death and she chased Sidney in her house. Other than those two scenes, Mickey is the killer in the costume in every other scene so this scene is Mickey.
