I think she may call her fanbase Gang Gang because that is the name of her Discord server where she chats with her fans. She also goes live on Twitch and sings plays games and has a gum ball game she plays with her fans. Every so often she will play an unreleased song or video. Today she was dressed as an accidental elf and played Conan. She dressed up for Morgan YT’s birthday. He is also a gamer on Twitch.

This is the song that initially got her recognized by the labels. She eventually signed a production deal with Def Jam and was with them 3.5 years before being dropped. She didn't even know she'd been dropped until her landlord told her they stopped paying her rent. They released three songs during her deal, of which is MADE IN GOLD (it was featured in the movie The Duff and Dancing with the stars). It was the radio hit they'd been asking for after a year of her writing something and being told "it wasn't good enough" - Made in Gold is a big middle finger to them lol.

Her best songs is Dear Nova. It's about as real and honest as an artist can get. The girl would REALLY like it and appreciate it. We don't get many honest talented women and she's VERY special. I also recommend you all listen to her scared of heights album AFTER you reacted to her music videos from. I also recommend going in order with her songs because she tends to throw in lines from previous songs. Hey you is made up of lines from MOST of her prior songs so you should listen in order. This was also made whilst she was under the label and they were trying to make her bubblegum pop. Not her favourite time in life. 😂 But even though it's so different she still shines through it and you still see who she really is which is something most label artists can't do. So they have breakdowns because their public image is NOTHING like their REAL selves. She always kept who she was. And that's a damn SUPER POWER. Often artists aren't real people. We learn to act like humans. But we're trained to mould ourselves to be whatever the people in front of us want. So you never really mould your personality. Most don't even know what they do and don't like! It's VERY toxic. And she started YOUNG. So she must have REALLY known who she was at a young age and REALLY had to have fought to keep herself. That's INCREDIBLY difficult when your entire identity is making people Infront of you happy. Halsey actually did a great job explaining it. Every female creative at some point has a breakdown where they stare at themselves in a mirror screaming WHO am I!?! The fact she was able to figure it out so young and was able to create the career SHE wanted is INSANE. As it is for Tom. And that they did it together is UNHEARD of! That should be celebrated and inspire people even if you don't like their music, just the fact they DID it is AMAZING! And shows that it CAN STILL be done. Just keep working hard and being true to who YOU are!

She didn't give up her career. Her label treated her badly. It made her not want to make music for awhile. Messed up her self confidence. But she is completely independent and doing music again, she does poetry and even wrote a children's book. The girl is busy. They support each other in their careers
