Flex is Ten Hag out but can’t admit it yet
KG the master of Hindsight. The thing putting me off Ten Hag more and more each week, as much as i want him to work out, is his lack of reaction, never mind proaction. We get spanked, he puts out the same team. We get 30 shots against, he plays the same team. We get tactically shown up, he plays the same tactics. Nevermind doing something out the box and trying to masterclass the opposition, he doesnt even react to the thumpings we get. He's drowning and just lying there waiting for the tide to take him.
But maybe it's cause the players are all similar and all off form for the whole season which is mad. These players are mid. Besides the new and young players .

Tough to change his team when most of them are injured. Reality comes to, either he plays the same team or he throws in even more youngsters and hopes they can play to the levels. That's one of the worst ways to develop young talent. Expecting Harry Amass to play LB, for example, at 17 in the first team for a long period isn't ideal. I can understand that he isn't proactive enough. That I can agree with. Too much playing McSauce week in and week out and hoping for something different when he should be taking him off at halftime every game. Sadly he doesnt have the options.

@@mphoramoshaba6213 i agree to a certain extent. You can't expect Case, Mount to start considering theyre coming off injuries. He needs some height and physicality and it's obvious Amrabat aint it either. So he chooses Scott on the off chance he scores cause he's been doing it more times than we expect. I'm not excusing it once Case or Mount are fit to start.

The excuses made for ten Hag's incompetence is unreal. The way he sets up the team leaves massive spaces in midfield. You could have prime Ngolo Kante and Park Ji Sung in midfield, and Cafu at right back inverting and they would still struggle to cover the spaces.

Okay genius let's see the team with a high line of present defenders and Casemiro who gets turned around by championship level players, or a team that sits deep to protect the defenders and couldn't get a sniff of the ball, the defenders are in a shape that they'd get turned around even in a mid block, if you can't see how unsuitable the defenders and defensive midfielders in the squad are, then I am sorry for you, you need to go and learn more.

KG, just pushing the blame to players is ridiculous. ETH picks the team & tactics. His in game management are so poor. It doesn't matter how much time you give the manager if he's lousy. It won't work. Doesn't mean giving ETH more time and he will do a Mikel Arteta.
Did Fleck forget us playing under Ralf, under Ole last season? Big names does not equal big player. And that has been the problem. Rashford for example is a big name player on par or higher than Salah but he performs 5 percent of Salah.
On par with Sarah's salary? Maybe. But never in ability, EVER.

It will take time (It took alot of time for liverpool, Arsenal, and others) to come back to the best by doing right things and not just putting short term fixes (changing manager)

How conveniently y' all skip that it was Artetas first shot at managerial career and ETH was managing teams when Arteta was still playing. Arteta also spent less than 80M in his first 3 transfer windows. Stop comparing with Arteta's start and fool yourselves to it.

This is how you know KG has lost the plot and he’s just sticking with the manager for the sake of it. Arteta inherited a team with below par players and big names that were past their best in the league. Ten hag inherited a team with Ronaldo, Sancho, Varane, best LB itw apparently Shaw, “better than KDB” Bruno, Rashford, Dalot, Wan bissaka. Let’s not make it out ten hag inherited a championship team. Ole didn’t know how to coach and didn’t coach that crop of players. Doesn’t mean they weren’t good
Same crop of players that Ragnick coached and said the club needed open heart surgery and the squad needed 10 new players? Same players that could only run for 38 minutes in Ragnick's first match against Crystal Palace? The players were big in name only. On the pitch, they are dross.

We face lots of shots yes, but notice most of those shots are long range or low quality shots, that's a defensive system working in spite of midfielders and attackers refusing to track back or contest 50/50 balls...so to say it's all the coach's fault is very simplistic at best

Yes, the system everyone complains about is a very basic aspect of coaching and I find it hard to believe that a professional coach would ignore it like that therefore it must be the players not doing something right and the eye test shows me how our attackers and midfielders are sluggish tracking back
Brentford hit the post and crossbar 5 times on that game. Onana has faced the most shots and usually facing 30 shots at his goal every game. To say there low quality shots is just disingenuous and making excuses. This manager is tactically inept

24:00 - to counter Flex - Yes we had a better squad than Arsenal when ETH arrived - KG is right the players were massively under performing. But the main thing is we all concluded the season saying that ETH overachieved in his first season, finishing 3rd and 2 cup finals and one trophy! So there's no point in comparing Arteta's first season with ETH ETH overall had a successful first season - also keeping in mind - we finished on the lowest points tally in the league post Fergie the previous season!

Moyes, LVG, Jose, Ole, And Ralf....They all struggled. This isnt ETH's mess and as I said the day he walked through the door, it'll take 3 years minimum to sort the shit out. IMO ETH gets the rest of this and next season to show us what he has. If we're in the same position this time next year we will need to look elsewhere.

Fact is, we just don't score enough goals and have not done so for YEARS! The current tactic to help with this, but you need players who are willing to put in a shift! We ain't got the staff. We also burn out our better players. Look to the bench, the quality ain't great. There are midtable teams with better overall squads who fit the way the team wants to play. Our mishmash of over paid over hyped players must be a nightmare for any manager to work with!

This season Utd fans have ridden an emotional rollercoaster like we have never seen before. One week they are back then a loss later his job is in jeopardy. Utd could get thrashed against Chelsea and ETH would be under severe pressure but if they beat Liverpool that would be forgotten and Utd would be back in the game again. It is absolutely bonkers 😂

Here is my take, ETH is losing credit he built last season with each passing game, last season he got away with his tactics mainly because he did not have the players which could fit his style of football now after spending almost 400mil the team is still playing OGS football, he has openly said he wants to play the transition football and cannot play the same way he did in Ajax, now for context at Ajax he didnt inherit a squad which was capable of playing his style, he played with Tadic up front and lots of young players, he even got Haller to fit in his style, so that means he has the ability to coach players at UTD he has struggled in getting his imprint on the squad, after 2 loss in his first 2 games he abandoned his tactics and started playing with what the squad was comfortable with, and even after a season he still has not been able to sort his tactics out Also, he has sold the promising youngsters and still playing the players which should had been sold years ago, with new management taking charge they will surely consider options at the end of the season,

Look at the players' price tag! Ten Hag had a much more expensive squad that Arteta inherited. The difference between the two clubs is that Arsenal became shit because they couldn't compete financially. United spent top dollar and became shit regardless.

Everyone is ignoring the injuries, the underperforming players, the drama that has surrounded the club and dressing room and the incompetent and inefficient hierarchy. All of which the manager found at the club. I am not saying the manager isn't to blame but no manager is succeeding with that many issues. Blaming the manager alone is lazy, blaming the players alone is lazy. But we(including you) have been patient with the players more than the manager over the years. Players have seen out their contracts with nothing to show for it. My stand point is let the manager see out his contract and we can decide once INEOS have everything in place. We simply cannot afford to change the manager because 1. We have a strict financial budget. 2. There are no stand out alternatives or options. Until the structure is concrete, a managerial change is unlikely. So you can bark like a kid who wants a new toy all you want but really nothing is changing anytime soon. Hope that's enough waffle for you.
