The glove technology includes a reduced weight, 10 unisex sizes from XXXS to XXXXL, and a slimmer profile that removes excess space at the outside of the hand. There will also be a removal of finger binding that allows the hand to close into a fist more naturally, and seams on the outside of the glove are eliminated to prevent cuts and abrasions. Padding has been added to the sides of the glove at the index and pinkie fingers to provide more protection for the hand.

I think the variety of color is valuable and should go further. Match their shorts, corners, countries, etc…
only colour variation is gold for championship fights ,Otherwise all UFC gloves are dark grey only .

I think they said the design allows for more mobility so they can fully extend their fingers up instead of having the stiffness pointing their fingers straight. I guess we’ll see if it works. Lol

That doesn’t stop it, the gloves forced guys hands into unnatural positions and it led to way more eye pokes than it should have. This glove doesn’t eliminate them but it will reduce them

How it addresses the big issue which was forcing the hand and finger extended which led to more eye pokes. It literally does reduce accidentally eye pokes, it just won’t stop intentional ones lmao
Pointless. The one issue that needed solving not solved. Eye pokes will continue and all because Dana didn't want to share Whitmans gloves with other promotions.
You didn't watch the video, the whole thing eith Whitmans glovesnis that it curves your fingers inward. And these new gloves do that.

Being able to watch this process since the beginning and watching all the stages and issues play out has been informative for sure but seeing the end product and it not even remotely fixing the biggest issues they needed to address and caused another issue to be exploited is absolute craziness. The people they hired absolutely took the UFC for one heck of a ride LoL. What A Shame!!

Waiting for the day when people realise that fingers pointing downward is literally just as dangerous as soon as a fighter faces their palm toward their opponent. Which they often do when the opponent initiates grappling. If the fingers are exposed there is literally no meaningful change to the glove that's going to drastically change the amount of eye pokes in UFC fights

@@sarcasticgenius8563it absolutely does change how often it’ll happen. Eye pokes are much more rare in training because the gloves have your hand naturally curved. This doesn’t eliminate eye pokes but it at least reduces them to a point that if a fighter is consistently poking eyes they’re just cheating now lol

The thing is they did not wanna give Trevor Wittman any credit or money and thats why they even refused to look at his glove. The ufc didn't wanna pay an outside company for gloves so they decided to create there own and the look the same which is terrible and don't solve the root issue which is eyepokes and then comfort. Why not get some of the top fighters involved is the design process rather than some lady who has no clue. Should of just gone with Wittman glove

So I guess J.G coach Trevor designed a glove I guess it didn’t work out, like UFC didn’t pick it up- it look like it was a nice glove - tho I must say these new glove that will debut June 1🔥🔥
I always thought you approach this from two different angles! 1) Test existing gloves being used now from all the other originizations (PFL ONE etc) to see if there's an improvement over current UFC gloves! 2) Use the folks in this video and their partner to continuously improve and develop gloves!
