The true impact of sanctions on Russia | DW Business Special

As Europeans suffer high energy costs and the prospect of a rough winter, some have begun to ask if Western sanctions against Russia were in fact an own goal. On the face of it, Russia’s economy is not going through the meltdown once predicted and Moscow continues to make billions from selling its oil and gas to the world. However, Jeffrey Sonnenfeld and his team at Yale School of Management say the narrative that Russia is riding out the sanctions is false. Their own research suggests Russia’s economy is suffering much more severely than widely reported. In this DW Business Special we discuss his findings.

China has 70yrs to finish their civil war, and the KMT hasn't been in power since 1970s, so their excuse for "unifying" China is looking pretty pathetic. Besides, you will find it's more than just the US that will defend Taiwan from CCP.

Everyone with a economic background and some knowledge about Russia does know the downfall, a bad one, will come. China and India can't take away the losses Russia takes of the losses of the export/import scissor it has. And I don't think luxury goods play a big role in that, it's more of the dependence on imports and support for its Western build automation what produces the rest of the needed goods. The summary of all of this is the explosive what will blow of Russia's economy! And, China's nor India's interest lay in dealing with Russia! Both want to deal with the West. Because Europes import/export volume was ten times higher than that of Russia - China was.

The soviet union had 20 million people died in ww2 and they still functioned a s country and that was 80 years ago. Russia actually wants the war to escalate more so it would give them a reason to mobilize and declare war on Ukraine, which will give them reason to set up mass production of munitions and vehicles. This is not the only bias this man has, he is also biased towards democrats. It doesnt matter how many statistics you know, if you have a dislike for a nation you always try and make it look bad, his dislike is engrained within him from his mother and growing up in the US during the cold war.
