Something a bit different, but felt like some of you might be after a similar setup!
This was awesome. More audio setup recommendations please! I need to upgrade mine asap! Still have some old AT700X's I repaired from ebay!
@@JoeGaz are they as great for gaming as everyone says they are? Everyone who reviews the AD?00X line says it's criminally underrated
@@houssamalucad753 i used to game with them, i had no issues. I wouldn't be the best person to ask though. I used them for editing, music, etc and this is just on onboard sound card. I know audio but not like Ali here 😊. He knows best!
@@JoeGaz thanks for the reply man! I'm considering getting them if I find a good sale
You probably should've placed that RED DYNAMITE too during the conclusion, just to make it pop 😂
This guy reaches his endgame setup 4 times a year.
its a common theme amongst reviewers, the amoount of times Linus at LTT makes statements like that makes me cry...that boy gets all the cool toys
he works for that and deserves.
constant struggle of an enthusiast
Yup pretty soon here he's gonna try a 1,000$+ audio setup and realize he wasn't even close to his endgame yet.
@@LuLzezRoflcopter what is an endgame in your opinion? Diminishing returns is a thing and 58x is one of best all things considered...
I reached my endgame 4 times so far. I’m starting to think it isn’t real
I was going to post the same thing. 😀
lol yeahh same. though now im confident its not end game but am happy, fiio e10 dac that ive had for years and a pair of hifiman he400s
@@CAIDMASTEROFPYRO your into audio dude, there is no endgame.
Welcome to audiophile. 😭
whenever he has gameplay snippets im impressed that hes actually a good gamer, crosshair placement and aim is excellent
If you check out his mouse/monitor reviews you'll see him absolutely shred on Overwatch as well. Pretty darn impressive.
I've been recommending this audio interface a ton! Really cool to see so many audio interfaces for users outside of the music production world.
I appreciate the attention to detail in your reviews. Don't ever change.
arms lookin thicc
Thicc boi
Our thicc ITX bwoii
Lads, can confirm this mans does quite the heavy lifting in many aspects from Valorant and Powerlifting (IRL). The thiccening
well, damn happy to find out about that interface, I've been looking for something like it
wow have to say this is a great setup thank you for posting this. I already had hd 58x’s and a mod mic got a rode vxlr+ adapter that can deliver power to my modmic that I connect to the xlr input on the evo 4 and it’s changed my gaming audio life. Just set it up and it works amazingly well.
God man i love your videos, the production quality is always perfect.
We need more audio equipment / set up reviews man! This definitely falls under the jurisdiction of "Enthusiast Tech / PC Hardware" and it would be interesting to get your perspective on it as a PC hardware enthusiast rather than an Audiophile.
That interface is exactly what I've been looking for. Cant believe i never saw it before
Your footage is always so crisp and clean goddamn
because of your current 60% kb, I got hooked in your channel. Also I like how clean your desk is.
Planning to go ITX next rig I build and have always had a audio card in my computers. Going to have to look into this since I won't be able to have a audio card in my next build. Was initially planning to go DAC/AMP combo but will have to add the Evo 4 in to the consideration.
Stumbled across this video, turned out to be basically just what I was looking for. This amp seems basically exactly what I'd need (want, rather...) and also for a reasonable price, I guess. Thanks for the video!
I recently got the ifi zen dac, im pretty happy with it
Got a similar setup except I went for a GoXLR Mini. The ease of mixing audio from multiple inputs is crazy good plus the preamp can power almost any mic easily.
Your videos are so clean. Incredible
Great video! With regards to the SE DM-1 Dynamite, could you have connected it directly into the mic followed by the xlr cable? Just wondering if you tried and noticed any difference with noise. Thanks.
the "adjustable mic monitor" is the selling point. that feature is hard to find it seems.
The last piece to your gaming puzzle man! Last week I got an Fifine K669 with a boomarm. And I’ve got a headphone amp build into my tiny but really good speakeramp ($119). It’s called the Topping MX-3 (recommended by Zeos from Z reviews). Got it hooked up to my Q acoustics speakers. Keep up the awesome vids as always Ali!
if i minus the type of content on this channel, the color correction and the dammmm lighting are my two of the most liked things
Bro, the zooms when turning the dial...cinematic
please start streaming ASAP, We Need It !!!
Funnily enough, this is very much something I had been thinking of the past weeks (going from my gaming headset to proper headphones + mic (and maybe a dac/amp)) and if its good enough for you I'm sure it'll work for me too :D
hi, can you make a video about upgrading audio with speakers ? cuz generally i play with speakers because i dont like using headphones. Do i need to buy a dac to improve my audio? thx n great content btw
great vidoe ! and I just wanted to ask you real quick. right now I am thinking of switching from dt 770 pro to sennheiser ie 400 iem. and the only question I got here is do I need an amp to prove the sound and the quality with this iem? or is the GOXLR mini enough to handle it all?
Nice, I was looking at reviews of the Evo 4 yesterday.
You always find the coolest tech!!!
His thumbnails are awesome 🔥💯
It would've been nice to know what you actually switched FROM (like you did with the mic), so we can ballpark if what you perceived as an improvement switching to these would be an improvement at all for us.
Now I really want to get the Shure SM7B for my WFH Zoom meeting.
What lighting do you use for these videos? Your quality is UNREAL
The Shure is sounding great!
Been looking for a nice, simple Audi interface, will grab one of these to go with my 58x Jubilee and my Samson Q2U
I have the same setup headphones, interface and pre-amp, with a rode podmic. It is important to note, the audient evo is awkward to mount if you're trying to get it off your desk surface. I wish they had moved everything from the top, to the front; or at least flush-mounted the big dial so you could actually see all the dial lights when sitting back.
Really liking that green background shot
The HD58X Jubilee actually has one of the smallest soundstages for a open back headphone similar to the HD6X0 line. However imaging is pretty accurate so its still viable as a gaming headphone.
I got myself a pair of HD600 for basically any application I can throw it at, gaming, music, movies and videos. I'm also dreaming of a pair if Grado sr60e's and AKG K712's to enlarge my open back line up.
Small soundstage = not good for gaming. the HD58X is also not neutral/reference by any means. It's quite warm sounding. I own them for that reason.
This looks cool! Is it possible to use wireless gaming headphone along with Evo4? Thanks man.
That interface looks perfect for what I need, and the price (at least here in the states) is so much lower than anything comparable. You never see an interface with dual phantom power under $200, it's just unheard of.
These are some awesome upgrades, definitely gonna implement them to my set up. Also, what's the intro song? I'd love to hear the whole song.
@Optimum Tech nice Video again I like you clean style! I just wonder where you got this remix of carlos Kromma :)
great setup. I'm surprised that interface needs an inline preamp for the sm7b. Could you not just boost the mic in post (can also be done for live streaming)? That interface has 58db gain EIN -127db, that should be enough. Also the sm7b sounds very good out of the box I agree but at least a bass cut somewhere between 40 - 80 might be a good idea, at least, it might make it more pleasant for people with good headphones who are listening, nothing in that range needs to be heard anyway.
Great content. Recently upgraded to dt 1990 pro's (driven by a topping d70 & thx 887) + blue yeti pro mic. Sound quality in games is night & day ... love not having a boom mic on the face as wel.
I really enjoy your content! Not sure if this is possible but... I currently use steel series wireless headphones and was looking to try something different. I have the audient evo 4, moondrop snow IEMs, and a Shure MV7 mic. I just dunno how to set it all up for gaming on my pc. I'm pretty illiterate lol. Was curious if you could do a possible step by step video with a breakdown for some help. Thanks!!
I have a pair of HD650s that are close to 15yrs old now. Fantastic headphones, the Sennheiser are a little "warm", especially the HD650. The HD580Jubilee/Hd600/hd58X/HD6XX are a bit more neutral but I the 650s are still very neutral. The MassDrop versions are such a good value, I got mine before Sennheiser started enforcing MAP heavily for about $350 and the HD6XX are far cheaper than that. Nice setup.
Love your work bro
Great video. Nice change of pace for this channel. Audient Evo 4 is excellent, you made a great choice. At that price point it makes most similarly priced consumer sound interfaces utterly pointless. I recommend it to anyone who wants a simple but good quality option to move away from on board audio. Which is always a good idea.
I have no choice but to pick one up as the Realtek drivers from asus for the crosshair viii hero don’t seem to work no matter what settings I adjust.
I'm new subscriber! Gotta say your content is just amazing! Btw 420 nation baby😂🤘
I recently got the Creative Soundblaster X3 and I find it to be quite versatile. Importantly, the software is very powerful and allows user to adjust EQ and also noise cancelling and clarity for mic. These two features alone can easily improve greatly your cheap earphone and mic. (Not affiliated with Creative. Just honest recommendation.)
I'm using the HD58X with the Schiit Hel. Absolutely love it.
Great video! I wish I could go from my Blue Yeti to a Shure Sm7Bb... just don't have the use case for it to justify it but it looks so clean!!!
Ordered my Evo 8 in June but it got delayed until October :( working with a Focusrite 4i4 for the time being, but glad to know my favorite youtuber approves
Such a good intro music! What's the name of the track?
What is the intro music track? Sounds so good
Huh what are the chances I just recently changed over from a Audio Technica AT2020 to a Shure SM7B although with a Triton Audio Fethead for my inline pre amp and a Focusrite Scarlett solo for my interface either way nice one dude! Since getting it have to admit I love my SM7B so hope you get as much enjoyment out of it as I get mine anyway loved the video!
I was looking at this a few months ago, then I forgot about it. now that I need an audio interface with a TRS output and still have decent headphone quality and potential for a xlr mic... I came back to it.
Man that one hell of a setup! 🔥 But boy that mic is overkill! I’m using the blue yeti, the HD58 and Soundblaster x6 I think it makes more sense as a gaming-only audio setup 👌🏻
7:28 I have to ask what is that light bar in the back of your space? Been seeing them get real popular lately and they look good
Quick question..what are you benching bruh, you’ve got some guns there 💪🏽
Well, looks like my next audio interface is sorted, lovely. Once again an amazing video, this channel is NOT good for my wallet
Glad to help!
Evo 4 is a huge step up from on board audio. I'd recommend it to anyone looking to do so. Just remember you have to press the appropriate button on the lower right, and turn the volume dial clockwise to hear anything after installation. These Audient interfaces come from the factory "turned down".
@@blakecasimir Awesome, cheers for the advice! I'm currently just rocking a FiiO E10K with DT880 and a Blue Yeti, but think I'll be buying a mic upgrade too - not a fan of the Yeti and it's weight
It does look promising, but as I'm not using an XLR mic, I don't know if it would be worth it for me
@@Eyadish90 mine arrived today, not long finished setting it up. Sound quality is incredible, but it's not as powerful as I thought, although it's still absolutely fine and my headphones are still driven perfectly by it. Should get my XLR mic on Friday to replace my Yeti, will let you know the improvements if you'd like
is it plug&play or do you have to run a required software in order to make it work (like GoXLR)?
great vid man, you should do more non pc build vids. id watch them all, keep it up.
Great setup! I am using the Rode NT USB mic just for gaming and Discord etc but it is a nice Mic and a 58X with DAC/AMP but I am also very into music and it has a great sound overall.
Hi, Just wondering how you connect your IEM to your Evo 4 ? And do you use any audio enhancement software Dolby/thx etc ? Thanks
Cool info. Thanks!
I use the Evo 4 as well, had since launch it's been pretty good. I intially went with the focusrite solo, but had stablity problems with it at all buffer sizes. One problem I found with the Evo 4 is that it does not like being in a USB hub for those interested, when powered by a hub phantom power wont always turn on. It's also worth noting the Evo can be used standalone without the use of a computer whilst the focusrite scarletts have to be connected up before the preamps kick in. Paired with an Aston Stealth it's a great little setup. The stealth has a gain lifter built in just supply the 48v and you get +40dB of gain or so.
Had these problems for a year now and just found out that this consists since Scarlett gen 1. so yeah i think im going to switch 2
I use the steel series artics pro, beyerdynamic MMX 300, and massdropxsennheiser HD58x for gaming on my pc desktop. Any recommendations for a dac/amp for these headsets. would the SCHiit stack be overkill for this or just fine?
Great review. What’s the connection to headphone? 3.5?
Hi, would you recommend mouse bungee from razer or any other company? Or they don't bothering?
I just bought a dac/amp combo (FX Audio Dac X6), since my mic is a usb one
I'm a complete noob when it comes to audio. How did you hook up your headphones to the headphone output? Is that gold thing an adapter so I can use a regular headphone jack, or do I need to grab some type of special cable? Sorry if this is a dumb question…
Very rare to find an audio interface that can support driven headphones, an XLR mic, AND speakers! I might have to check this out. Finally some competition for Focusrite
For gaming, streaming, and talking on discord etc, is this audio interface better than the Elgato Wave XLR?
Good day. This is super late but I just wanna ask if the evo 4 can fully utilize the capabilities of HD58X in terms of details and the soundstage. Planning on buying it and paired with HD560s. Thank you in advance for your response!
That's an awesome setup
what I feel like it needs is a game/chat volume mixer, it can be really convenient to change the volume of chat and game on the fly like on the arctis headsets
Is that like a wheel volume rocker when you switch thru apps, you can adjust it for your ears?
@@genericmike7361 its a volume rocker to change how much game you hear vs voice chat in discord. So if you wanna focus on your game just turn it one way and if you wanna focus on chatting turn thenother way
@@LlamaSpeeed that’s sick!
Yes, this is the reason why I didn't buy this product :( Sadly it's a very rare feature!
This dudes setup Is STUPID CLEAN
You use a wired razer for gaming? I thought you used a g pro wireless on a previous video showing apex legends.
Hi i got the Evo4 but need to EQ my headphones to be a bit less sharp i wanted to ask wich eq software is best to use here?
Here's a set up that can achieve the same thing for much less. The only thing that I find absolutely essential is the Audient Evo 4 is because of how insanely quiet its preamp is. So much so that you don't even need a mic booster preamp even if you have a 280 ohm dynamic microphone. - Audient Evo 4 - $120 - Behringer XM8500 - $20 - Klark Teknik CM-1 - $30 - Philips SHP9500 - $75
The Sure SM7B cut out so much of the room echo that the Rode mic was picking up! Really obvious when you do the side by side comparison, but your old videos still sounded good on the Rode mic, so I guess it's just a nice-to-have upgrade. A cheaper alternative to the Sure would be the Rode Podmic - should also work well in an untreated room, but for a few hundred $ less. Would probably still need the Dynamite stick though.
Could you please review the Inwin A1 plus?
I've always been so confused as to what to get whether a dac or AMP how do you set the mic so they can hear you in game plus hear the game audio from your headphones?
Dang this guy has everything
Dang the interface cools cool. Wish it had a regular mic input
Can someone explain why I would need this over the standard audio out jack on the MOBO? Not being facetious..just curious!
If I'm currently using a modmic would the gain functions still work or does it only work with a proper mic?
I only game and I use a astro A40 TR with mix amp I'm looking to upgrade what would you recommend as a head set with this ?
I just bought dt990 pros with the soundblaster g6. I want to get the elgato off wave 3 for my mic but not sure how to make everything work together or if it’s even compatible?
Just want to say I love your style
Should I get this to pair with hd6xx + xlr mic or get schiit stack + usb mic for streaming?
Any additional latency when your shooting in fps games compared to a direct connection to a motherboard?
Oh that's perfect, I was looking at upgrading to an XLR mic, going for the Rode Podmic, but the mixer was always the big outlay. Considering a GoXLR Mini so I'm set for streaming, but the cost is still a bit high. Seems like the Evo 4 could be a nice middle ground
Also, totally agree re the echo - very noticeable on the USB mic. Much less so on the SM7b, although can still hear a little bit
Thank you for the vidéo. So we can have an Astro MIXAMP TR with good features for gamers ( voice mate & game balance ) but low quality sound or having this nice EVO 4 or 8 with nice sound but no gaming features like the MIXAMP ... Why can't we have one product finished at 100% with high quality ? :(
Is this audio interphase worth it over the jds labs atom stack? I want to run the hd 58x at its full potential.
is it able to be used with just external speakers to easily turn volume up or down?
Hi, i sould like to ask is Evo 4 good for LEWITT LCT 440 PURE? Thanks for answer.
Sounds like a winning setup. Personally I have been very pleased with the following setup: GOXLR mini Shure SM7B Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO 80 OHM Gator Frameworks Deluxe Desk-Mounted Mic stand
