I don't think it's dishonest, she's just talking about supply and demand. Drug dealers wouldn't have a job if no one bought the drugs; same goes for the sex industry. Granted, acknowledging this paradigm doesn't change the facts on the ground. People will always desire sex and drugs; placing blame doesn't typically change behavior.

Your comparison doesn’t track because drugs actually affect people that don’t so drugs in the form of homicide or other serious crimes.
