  • The couch arrived in two boxes four days early, which was great because we'd just moved into a new house and needed places to sit. My son and I put it together pretty quickly kzhead.infoUgkxitRzxya-XugamYgLwa_2G1gxPg4MCJHa . Another reviewer suggested inserting the seat into the side and I'm glad they did as the instructions weren't clear on that matter. It's incredibly light and slides easily across the wood floor, making it easy to move. It's firm, but comfortable. It will even be great to nap on. I got the gray, which definitely has strong blue undertones, but I'm okay with that.

    • well the speargun shafts need a top for the clip to press against the shaft and the shaft to press against the top also i will make it painfully with a hacksaw in 5mm stainless marine grade steel the housing has to be made of one piece folded over also and a stronger spring also the catch does not need to be hollow in the centre it can be solid and the catch has to be round not pointy but other than that its perfect

    • Could swear the spears have a notch at the end, so this should work as shown. Besides materials. Has to be steel and the notch for the arrow is not needed.

  • Excellent simple and robust. I believe all kit must be extremely robust and very easy to repair in the field with the most simple means and material found in the field. Thank you , my entertainment comes from learning something new with simple at the core.

      @SelfmadeChannel@SelfmadeChannel7 жыл бұрын
    • Selfmade No it's not sarcasm. I like the design and execution. My experience over too many decades now has shown me simple always wins. It's eloquent because of its simplicity. The Germans found that out first hand. There equipment was always over engineered where the Russians always went for robust simplicity in greater numbers. Even though one on one the Germans always won. The T-34 had a very simple robust eloquent design that proved to not only be there equal but proved to superior to any tank of the war.

    • Being German myself I can't help but disagree with this comment. Yes simplicity is easier to replicate and repair but it doesn't mean by default it is better. Look at cars for instance....Germany builds some of the best cars on the market and has been a leader in the automotive industry since Hitler and the beetle.

  • Watched this a few times. My buddy has all of the tools to precision cut metals. Used steel for the retainer and trigger. We made the housing out of aluminum. I based it off of how the AR15 trigger group is. Basically used the same concept you have here but when it was placed inside of the housing and pinned into place. Once it was dropped into the bow two bolts ran across to secure the entire assembly.

  • Quick question. Have you tested this out in an actual crossbow with a decent load? Because from what it looks like, when the string is pulled back to sit behind the arrow in the resting area, it will create a moment releasing the arrow even if you didn't pull on the trigger. Or basically, it will automatically go off when you try to set the arrow and string. Im not saying this will happen, this is just what it looks like to me.

  • Shouldn't the bolt/string catch pivot 90 degrees when the trigger is pulled? At the current stop angle, it seems like the string, behind the bolt, will catch on the forward prongs/fork and cause it to jump above the bolt/arrow. not to mention it seems like the string drag over it will cause excessive wear and premature string failure. If it pivots 90 degrees the forward string catch will rotate completely out of the way. Or am I missing something? I need to know, LOL.

Small changes (like keeping the corners rounded and enlarging the Shaft diameters will result in enhanced load bearing. People, please understand that thought and effort have gone into this design. When someone gives you something free, please accept it with gratitude. The folk who want links and measurements and who cannot even get it when the man says trace in on a paper, ...can never get it free even if it was mailed to them.
