Simply amazing. Wish y'all had a shop near Indianapolis, I would love to have a brand new cab/bunk interior on my 2003 Intl 9400i Eagle. I've completely rebuilt all mechanical systems and now it's time for cosmetic ie; new interior and a new paint job exterior to make it look brand new again. Actually it would be nice to do away with the 72" Skyrise condo top in favor of a 72" Mid-roof. I found a few like new take-off 72" Mid-roof cabs in excellent condition with full interiors however they were wired for ISX Cummins and not the Series 60 Detroit. I was told the cabs would be of no use to me. I love the work you guys do.

Been driving long enough to remember I used to say "If it aint got a hood I aint drivin' it!" to "If it aint got a full fairing package, I aint drivin' it!" Man what a change in attitude! I seriously wont operate a truck that cant maximize my fuel economy. For some reason the installation of the fairings on this truck made me have that epiphany... Nice job!

Thank you. Its still a lot cheaper than buying a new truck. And on top of that, you're can write off more stuff on your business, besides truck depreciation.

Insurance is the same. Never heard from anybody that they couldn’t get a load because their truck had salvage/rebuilt title or something else.

I've seen a few truck rebuilds like that, its always amazing to see the finished product in the end but that makes me wonder if these rebuilts are worth the money and the work for the customer. Buying a new truck may cost a lot of money but is a rebuild really a good alternative? You got the same truck in the end with the same (maybe high) mileage. Don't get me wrong i admire that work 😉

It will fit, but you can’t install new style cabinets (above dashboard) inside of old style cab.
Do you use them for you’re fleet or sell them? Used to do this with cars before I started trucking business. Nice mix of both!

At some point you have to decide the project cost. And ask before you start is it worth it ? Unless your doing the labor yourself . Looks beautiful . we would like to know the final numbers
Our company has been doing this for more than 10 years now. Most of the time we know what to expect from each type of collision.

@@MrCarmelo1959 Because it's not worth paying to have it repaired if you own it. It rarely is. The value of these trucks are all in the warranty. Once the truck is totaled, Freightliner won't warranty it. Wholesale, this truck is worth maybe $60k. But they probably got close to that in it.

How do you retitle it? Simply swapping the V.I.N. would be illegal. Recertification?
You don’t retitle it. You just get salvage/rebuilt title. Yes, you can’t just swap the vin. You just have to take it to the authorized dealer and he takes care of it. I don’t know what kind of processes they do, but at the end they just put stickers for you on the cab.

Looks great. But, do u think the cost of materials and labor to rebuild this salavged truck is worth it rather than purchasing a certified used ? And then doing maintenance on that ?
We've built relationships with dealers, and since we have so many trucks we buy parts for the price that regular people will never buy. We get dealer parts sometimes twice cheaper than Chinese knock off. Used truck with 150k miles will probably be $120-$130k to buy, we build those for under $70k usually (for customers)

Can a salvage truck have a older engine?
We don’t swap engines here, but I did here some people do it.
I'd think the "before" truck was destined to be parked in the woods for a deer blind.
What's your opinion on purchasing a Rebuild?
If you buying it from the right shop I’m all for it. Sometime you can save as much as $30,000

Copart doesn't give late model truck away you are paying a premium for the truck & to find a cab that will interchange with a 2020 you or who ever bought that truck paid a premium for truck the cab came off , cost of cab ,some other new &used parts paint labor the cost ????? . Hmmm amazing...

So the customer decided to buy a new cab than to rebuild the original but it's hard to believe that that cab could even be rebuilt though.

I could never afford taking my truck to your shop that’s a 2020 Freightliner I got a 97 Freightliner century class it’s held together mainly by duck tape..lol What do you do with these after repaired trucks? Sell them?? You’re there are customers fixing? Whatever don’t care it’s a great job and video kudos to the crew!!!👍👍👏👏👏
Thank, this particular project was for the customer. He bought it from copart. We sell most of them, sometimes we fleet them. Depending on mileage.

The only reason one would ever do this themself is because the insurance company wouldn't foot the bill and you're stuck making payments on the truck. From uneven tire wear to electrical issues, this truck will always have problems.

@@salvageparadise There is a reason why many buyers steer clear of vehicles which have been in a accident. On top of that, in one video, they showed the guy using a tape measure to measure the squareness of the frame. A tape measure for crying out loud.🤦♂️🤔😟🤫
@@nattydreadlocks1973 I think then you should not buy these trucks from us. Go buy from dealer, that sometimes even asking our shop with our tape measure to fix their frames :)
@@salvageparadise When I did body work, I atleast used a tram if not a lazer system to measure for squareness. But what do I know?
@@nattydreadlocks1973 Summing all what you said: You used lasers and you still had uneven tire wear. Sounds like the problem is not in tools, but mechanic. We have been doing this for over 10 years now, and yes we fleet our own trucks, and we don't have problems you mentioned. About insurance company, we do work with insurance companies, and never had them call us back because something was wrong. Our customers don't have payments for trucks, neither do we. Why? because we buy these wrecked trucks for cash from insurance companies, and fix them for cash as well, saving sometimes up to $60k. So while you have payments, we make money.

Go to buy a truck like that and they'll tell ya how great it is and everything is brand new now and all, try and trade the same truck in and they'll tell ya it's junk and how a salvage truck isn't worth anything.
Dealers say it’s not worth anything, but they fix their trucks here. This is how they make money
