How to install any UV full glue tempered glass screen protector so that it is 100% compatible with your in-screen fingerprint sensor on Galaxy S23/22/S21/S20/Note20/Ultra/Plus. Pixel 7 Pro/6 Pro Showing with Note 10+, and S10+, but the process is identical.
The same technique is applicable to all UV/NANO glue tempered glass screen protector. You may be surprised to learn that there are only a few manufacturers in the world when it comes down to this UV/Nano glue all sharing the same/similar chemical composition.

  • Holy cow. Works perfect! Since i got phones with ultrasonic fingerprint scanner i using UV glass and never using the sensor, because it's never work properly with those glasses. Your solution works in 100% and finally i can use my fingerprint scanner in S22 ultra :)

    • So happy to hear! In a nutshell, the concept behind the technique shown in this video is both to reduce the distance, and the amount of glue the pulse travels through. Even though we feature older phones, we've tried it on most of the newer devices including the s22 Ultra and looking at the specs of ultrasonic fingerprint sensors, they can only all work using this technique. Any further questions/concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us/comment further. Best regards,

  • Hey mate nice video very instructional. I bought x2 of these screen protectors and the only instructions they had were 4 boxes on the back and no writing. The boxes didnt even show you how to use all the accessories that came with it. I stuffed up the first attempt and watched a few videos (not yours) to see what to do. Next attempt was better but I got a bubble in the middle of the screen. lightly pushed it out with my finger and it made some of the glue come out the sides. I cured the glue for about 15 minutes with the UV light. It looked pretty good glue seemed to be quite even. When i got up the next day there was a spot down on the bottom edge and side edge where it didn't stick. Looks like it didn't cure. had to pull it off and throw it out as well. How are you getting it to stick with only a few minutes of using the UV light? I cured it for 15 minues.

  • I already purchased both a screen protector and screen glass replacement kit with UV glue (bu lai en b-7000). Is it possible to use your universal OCA Blade add-a-glass kit for the screen glass it's self and use the UV glue originally intended for the screen to bond the protector to it? It might be worth mentioning that the protector has those touch enhancing bumps, but I didn't realize that until it arrived. Edit: also can regular tape help to keep the glue out of the buttons and speaker? If not can you bind the protector to the screen glass first then install them both as one piece? And what do you think of using the liquid glass "protectors" to enhance the tempered glass?

  • Hi I ordered p30 pro front glass/ leans replacement from your eBay store. First of all thanks for your great customer service/ assistance! The item should be delivered on the 28th or 29th so that's fine. But my question is I've ordered full kit and it comes with wires instead of the thin plate which you showed and used in your S8 replacement video. Would I be still be able to separate the outtter glass with the wire if heat applied without talking out the entire phone and screen?? What's your suggestion thanks!

    @TBTPower8@TBTPower84 жыл бұрын
    • Hello, thank you for taking your time to comment and thank you very much for your kind words. With the wire tool kit without the OCA blade, you would need to remove the display so you can sneak the wire tool in between the correct layers (between the outer glass and the rest of the display panel. As noted on our site, OCA blade can be added to any kit for an additional charge ($7.99) at the time of purchase. Although you mentioned your kit has already been shipped, we should be able to offer the same discount. If you are ok with partial tracking (tracking would stop once it leaves the country), you can have it shipped at half the cost also. If we can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us/comment further. Best regards,

    • Hello Aleksandar, Thank you for taking your time to comment and thank you very much for your compliment! As for your question, no it would not hurt if you used multiple lights at the same time. The only thing you would want to be mindful of is the fingerprint sensor area (For S10 and up If you are wishing to use the fingerprint unlock after), you'd want to cure that area separately while gently pressing down on the area as shown in the video. @yodelo3549@yodelo35497 ай бұрын
    • Hello, Thank you for your kind words! To answer your question, the glue included in the UV screen protectors can fill scratches, but please note that if the screen is cracked, I advise against using it. The glue is quite viscous and may seep below the crack. Instead, we recommend using our LOCA adhesive when the screen is cracked. • Thanks for making this video! Seems very good way to protect my s22 ultra... for what i see this protector covers the front selfie camera... do this compromise the quality of the selfies? Or is it exactly the same result? And i wish to know more about the durability of this kind of protectors is it better than hydrogel protectors? Thanks for your help!

    @leonardopina379@leonardopina379 Жыл бұрын
    • Not a problem at all. Thank you for your kind words. The adhesive and protectors are optically clear and the quality of the selfies are not affected by installing one of these UV tempered glass screen protectors. The problem with UV protectors I come across are edges peeling over time due to other objects in the pocket flicking against the edges of the protector. In my opinion, the glue should be a bit stronger but it seems to be the same across all the manufacturers we have tested. The problem is hydrogel protectors is that it's prone to scratches and little 'dings' as it's a soft material. It's great against protecting scratches, but it does not offer as much protection when it comes to protecting the display against damages due to impact. Kind of like getting punched in the arm when you are wearing a thick sweater (hydrogel) vs when you are wearing a solid metal armor (tempered glass; exaggeration but you get the idea. The impact gets spread across the solid layer), better than getting punched without anything on either way. It's of course, best not to get punched but sometimes the ground call our phones for a visit and it answers every now and then.

  • Tpu screen protector is amazing no glue and very clear and comes with glass camera protector

    @darrenbeller5440@darrenbeller54402 жыл бұрын
    • Hello Darren, Thank you for your comment. The only problem if you will with TPU screen protectors is that it hazes over time as it scratches very easily. It also feels a bit rubbery and it offers very little protection against impact. OLED screens are quite expensive and they're not easy to repair. For these reasons we still recommend tempered glass screen protectors over all other types of screen protectors. If you have any further insight into this matter, please do not hesitate to share. Have a great rest of the day!

Also while applying UV light I didn't care about fingerprint sensor area I applied equally at all places and guess what fingerprint works flawlessly so it's indeed not necessary to hide the fingerprint area while applying UV light. Believe me or not it's just a gimmick about fingerprint UV light direction that you told in your video, UV light just need to apply a little bit longer I applied it for about 10-15 minutes and the results are incredible for me!

The connector for recognizing the S-pen in the slot is at the very deep end of the slot as well so I wouldn't personally worry. However, because the glue only cures with UV, you can always clean out the S-pen slot with isopropyl alcohol. The adhesive is said to have a shelf life of 1 year but I have personally used glue that's much older without an issue. Any further questions/concerns, please do not hesitate to comment further. @user-qf1yx5td1m@user-qf1yx5td1m3 ай бұрын
    • Thank you for your kind words! Yes, UV glue hides scratches from the actual screen but it shouldn't be used on cracked screens as the glue would seep past the surface and leave an unsightly void. If the cracks are along the edges, the glue can seep into the internals and cause damage also.

    @drjd2real@drjd2real7 ай бұрын
    • I am aware of the issue you are referring to, and our products use a different type of adhesive. Could you please confirm if you are referring to a protector you purchased from us? Additionally, you may want to check how your case aligns with the protector. Even the non-UV adhesive, which is silicone-based and is used on all flat tempered glass screen protectors, can lift if your case is more flexible than usual and presses against the edges in a way that causes a lift. Check to see if the very edge of your protector isn't rounded/rolled.

    @nathanberger2680@nathanberger26804 жыл бұрын
    • Hello Nathan, thank you for taking your time to comment. Unfortunately, as is right now I'm afraid you would be looking at removing the back to clean the camera area at least. Now for the good news: We have developed a special seal tape to go around the camera lens and we've been experimenting with it yielding good results but it's not ready to be distributed yet as we're still trying to determine the best/easiest way for the customer to achieve consistency. (The top right corner beyond the camera has to be brushed with LOCA but if it's brushed too thick, it can cause the excess to seep in to the camera). It requires some tweaking but there are 2 alternatives one is having film based adhesive applied on the corner. The other, more exciting: We have found a very cheap alternative to bubble remover/auto clave you can assemble (pre-assembled will increase the shipping fee un-necessarily) at home with a $15.00 item (estimated price) we can offer which along with our pre-laminated front glass, you'd be able to install the front glass with OCA, We have finally concluded our testing with consistent results but before we get into distributing any of the above for the newer phones, we want to perfect the glass removal tutorial/process because we have been having customers who do not succeed the glass removal process. Most of them were due to not following the 1st thing we mention in the video before inserting our tool which we mention is "very important" (curling the tip of the tool and inserting it in a way that the tip is touching the underside of the front glass) in the video. I know some may disagree but we find that if there are multiple people making the same mistake, we take it as a sign that something can be improved on our end. We have been taking all feedback into consideration and we have something exciting to share. Stay tuned!

    • @@nathanberger2680 Hello Nathan, we are not sure about the timing at the moment. It might be one of those things others go "why didn't I think of that?" as it's a very simple combination of 2 low cost items that already exist. While we do not have a problem sharing knowledge to empower DIYers around the world, we are not sure exactly how we would feel if someone were to simply copy our idea (Which we spent a lot of time and resources over the past 6 months to ensure it works for all cases). For this reason we may wait until the patent is granted rather than release it during the 'pending' phase. Our decision on how we proceed has yet to be made. I apologize. Also, we want to tackle the common errors first, again the common errors are due to not following cautions we already mention in our videos but we're going to be releasing 2 new videos first with stronger emphasis on those points and wait to confirm we can indeed eliminate the common errors first. I am not sure what could have caused it or if it's even true (or truly the display's fault and not the connector/installer) but just taking a wild guess, I wonder if it's possible that this issue is experienced if the display was refurbished using thicker OCA than factory spec? I know that thicker OCA films are preferred sometimes as it is more forgiving but thicker OCA films may cause more ultrasonic attenuation through the material thereby cause inaccurate/partial reading? Just a guess. Ultrasonic is sound waves after all.

    • The adhesive used for UV glue application isn't any stronger than the conventional silicone based adhesive used on flat screen protectors. You won't damage the display when removing the screen protector. Some residue may be left which can easily be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol. Unfortunately for curved display phones, when it comes to tempered glass screen protectors currently, you're left with either UV glue or a thicker pad based adhesive that is weaker because the glass cannot be as thick.

    • Great question! No it does not. The adhesive is optically clear and it does not affect the camera quality. From my experience, not having a cut-out for the camera is a superior design; Protectors with a cut-out for the camera area can often accumulate dust/debris/sweat/oil from skin in that area, making it difficult to clean. It also leaves a narrow section of glass around the top/side of the camera hole which is prone to cracking very easily. Any questions/concerns, please do not hesitate to comment further! • When it comes to curved tempered glass screen protectors, the conventional silicone based adhesive where all you have to do is line up the protector and press in the center to have the adhesive bonding throughout is not applicable. When it comes to curved tempered glass screen protectors, you would find that they either have adhesive along the edges only, or rely on liquid glue for full adhesion. If so, we are happy to send you another tube of glue free of charge. The only thing I can think of is maybe the protector was more or less dropped on there rather than lowered slowly as shown in the video and air got trapped? In any case, the protector can be removed easily with just your fingernail just like a standard tempered glass screen protector. In most cases, the glue remains stuck to the protector but if your screen has a lot of fine scratches, the glue may bond to the screen better vs the protector and remain on there after the glass is removed. If this happens, you can clean the residue with any glass cleaner. I've also tried it with general multi surface cleaner with good results too. @thedirection6369@thedirection63699 ай бұрын
    • Was it lifting right after the installation? or after some use? The problem with these UV glues is that it's not as strong. If you use it with a flexible case, the case can get squeezed and push up on the protector, when say, the phone is placed in a pocket and it gets jostled around. This ultimately depends on the case and the condition of the glass (if it had scratches/how much oleophobic coating was left at the time of the glass installation; scratches actually help the protector stick better). If it was lifting right after the installation, it's likely a defective protector. You can use our LOCA which we use to replace the front glass to achieve a permanent bond. You can still easily remove the protector with just your fingernails without any tools, but it takes a bit more effort and it does leave a bit of residue that can be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol. @neelamshahu8498@neelamshahu849811 ай бұрын
    • If any glue gets on the power button, you can clean it with isopropyl alcohol. Most phones these days have the power button sealed from the inside so there isn't really a concern with liquids getting in through the power button. Just in case though, you'd want to use either 99% isopropyl alcohol or wait until all the alcohol is completely evaporated before using the device if you are using 70%/60% isopropyl alcohol. 99% isopropyl alcohol does not conduct electricity to harm devices whereas 70%/60% may contain 30%/40% water respectively which can cause damage. • @Edgar Molina Lomeli Hello Edgar, Not a problem at all! It is not a dumb question please do not feel bad. So why this works is that, ultrasonic fingerprint sensor on these phones only read fast & accurately as far as 0.40mm away from the screen. When tempered glass screen protectors range from 0.25~0.33mm, there isn't a lot of room for the adhesive. To put it in perspective 0.1mm is about the thickness of standard printer paper. You can't push all of the adhesive outward so you are not applying high pressure. As mentioned in the video, it's about the same pressure as you'd push the bottom of your nose up to make a funny face. It's not a lot of pressure. When done properly, there should be a slight 'dimple' as shown @1:20 Any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us/comment further. Best regards,

    • Hello, Are you by any chance using a flexible case? So something we found across all brands of this type of UV glue is that the glue is a bit weak. If you have a tight fitting case that's flexible like TPU or silicone, when the phone is jostled around in the pocket the case can actually press against the edge and cause it to lift. Other than that, it could be a form defect where the glass isn't made to match the screen perfectly but these are pretty rare these days. (It was more of an issue when curved tempered glass screen protectors were new You can use stronger glue like our LOCA glue to install protectors. It holds much better. It does require a bit more force to remove as a result, and it does leave a bit of residue but it can be removed by hand without special equipment and you can wipe the residue clean with isopropyl alcohol. I personally don't see any advantage of UV glue over this. If I'm missing something, please let me know. • after installing Tempered glass through UV glue my biometric finger print sensons takes time to detect and most of the time it fails, I havent covered the sensor during the UV Light. So is my sensor got damaged or changing the Tempered glass will it come to normal?

    @mudassirbit@mudassirbit Жыл бұрын
    • Your fingerprint sensor is definitely not damaged. The glue isn't able to permeate the glass nor the display membrane to damage the fingerprint sensor which is below the surface. So the concept behind the 'trick' demonstrated in the video is to reduce the distance between the finger and the sensor. Ultrasonic fingerprint sensors are a highly sensitive electronic and the ultrasonic waves aren't able to travel too far. However, by curing the sensor area separately while pressing down, it does bring it close enough. It's also worth noting that, either way you'd want to re-register the fingerprint after the install as the way ultrasonic waves travel through through the additional glue & glass layer is different than without.

  • I have a dent in my screen, does the glue cover it up?

    @pradoroneleazaro.4820@pradoroneleazaro.48204 ай бұрын
    • I'm assuming that the glass is cracked as the screen is made of glass and it's not something that can get dented without cracking; It really depends on the crack whether it would be covered by the glue or not but I would not recommend using the UV glue included in screen protectors if your screen is cracked as it can seep into the internals through the cracks which can cause damage. Any further questions/concerns, please do not hesitate to comment further. Have a great rest of the day!

    @promitasikder7@promitasikder7Ай бұрын
    • It's not a bad idea! But removing is easy, you can just peel it up with your fingernail as you would with any other protector. It typically doesn't leave any residue but if the screen is badly scratched, sometimes you can get a patch of adhesive that remains on the screen after the protector is removed, but it is flaky and it can be easily scraped off/removed by hand.

  • Hi some glue is not dried and leaking on edges how to solve?

    @user-qi4nt8jn4j@user-qi4nt8jn4j4 ай бұрын
    • I am not sure what could be the cause of this at the moment as we have not experienced this issue over the years of selling this but if you have happened to purchase it from us and this has happened, please let us know and I will send you a replacement to try free of charge. I can confirm though that any excess that leaks out the side can be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol or any glass cleaner. If your concern is a void caused by the leakage, if it is really close to the edges (within 6mm or 1/4") you may be able to fill it using another tube of glue. Dispense a little bit at a time where the protector meets the phone and you can press on the edge repeatedly in a pumping motion to get the glue to be sucked into the void. Any further questions/concerns, please do not hesitate to comment further/contact us. Have a great rest of the day!

  • This was a pain in the ass ngl. the video was super helpful tho. I bought a cheep Chinese version because I'm a sucker and it worked I guess but it has a permanent lift on left side. The touch still works it just looks bad. I would definitely recommend buying a more expensive one that won't have this manufacturing issue.

  • My oneplus 8 pro started to lift off from the sides i have some glue left but is there anything i can do to fix this now

    @emilrex4118@emilrex41183 жыл бұрын
    • Hello Emil, There are a couple of solutions I can offer but first, are you by any chance using a case with the phone? If so, see if you can press on the edge of your case to cause the protector to lift/glue to come off? On these phones with very thin bezel, what we find is that there is very little room for cell phone case to flex. Protector's edges ends up touching the edges of the case and when your phone is being pushed around in your pocket as you move, it can squeeze the case and lift the protector. We do not carry the UV protector for OnePlus 8 Pro but you can use our Stronghold LOCA glue to glue on the protector which is a lot stronger (but still removable) which would be strong enough to withstand the 'squeeze'. If you are not using a case and it lifted like this, the protector may be defective (warped, we show this in the video). You can put the glue you have leftover in the void and bond it if this is the case. Please note though, you are not supposed to have any glue left with the installation. You are supposed to use all of it which may be the reason you are experiencing the issue. Any questions/concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us/comment further. Best regards,

    @irfanahmed8754@irfanahmed87542 жыл бұрын
    • Hello Irfan, I apologize for the delay in my response but are you still experiencing this issue? If you have pressed down on the sensor area during the installation as shown in the video, all you'd need to do is re-register the fingerprint, this is because the fingerprint reads a bit differently through the additional piece of glass). If you did not press down on the sensor area during the installation, unfortunately the protector needs to be re-installed. Any further questions/concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us/comment further. Best regards,

    • Hello, Unfortunately, with this glue you'd need the UV light to cure it. Did you happen to purchase the protector from us? Please let us know as it is not a problem at all for us to send you a replacement. However, it may be worth noting that most of the times when the light doesn't work, it is a simple contact issue. Cables that are well used can have trouble making the connection and just a slight wiggling & holding of the cable often fixes this. Any further questions/concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us/comment further.

  • I installed a glass on my note 10 and very next air comes around the display corner...why does it happened. Is there any way to install this glass by which no air comes back . And how long we have keep the UV light close to glass so that it works properly.

    @jitendrakumar-bn2sx@jitendrakumar-bn2sx3 жыл бұрын
    • Hello, From our experience, this can be one of 2 things. 1. The edges of the cell phone case being used is too thick/wide or the screen protector is not aligned perfectly. The screen protector needs to be aligned precisely so the cell phone case does not end up pressing on the edge of the protector. 2. The glue was not cured completely. The glue needs to be cured completely by holding the UV light close to the device as shown in the video. If you have happened to purchase from us, simply send us a message as it is not a problem at all for us to send you a courtesy replacement. Any further questions/concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us/comment further. Best regards,

    • If you happen to get it in there, you can clean it easily with isopropyl alcohol and a toothbrush. One way to avoid it is to put the 'dust absorber' sticker included in the screen protector prior to gluing. However, it sometimes fall off and it's not difficult to clean it as noted above. @psychonsight7103@psychonsight71033 жыл бұрын
    • You can safely remove the inner film and the protector, but you'd need another tube of glue to install it. If you have happened to purchase from us, please let us know as it is not a problem for us to send you a courtesy replacement tube of glue. You may be able to get a few days out of it for now before the protector starts to lift. What I'd suggest is wait for a new tube, then peel the protector off carefully first, peel the film that's glued on there, clean & re-install. Any further questions/concerns, please do not hesitate to comment further or contact us. Have a great rest of the day.

  • How reusable are the oca blades? Are they super susceptible to wear & tear or will I get a durable product that I can use for dozens of repairs before I need a replacement? I ordered 2 of each blades (big and mini) for my toolbox and the repair shop. And are more videos happening?

    @knexfan100@knexfan1003 жыл бұрын
    • The OCA blade is indeed re-usable. Please do kindly note that, pushing it when there is not enough heat can cause the tool to flex and when this happens many times, the tool can experience this thing called metal fatigue and slowly start losing its effectiveness. When used properly, you can easily do 3~4 devices with 1 OCA blade. However, it would be good for dozens of phones if you use the wire tool with it. This is something we've been experimenting with and something we will mention in the new video. More videos are indeed coming in the near future. I realize that we should have had more videos up already and I do apologize. We will cover S10~Note 10+, and a few other topics in depth. Essentially, you would use the OCA blade to start the process and create an opening for the wire tool to slide into (with the OCA Blade inserted between the layers of the display still) and you'd also use the OCA blade whenever the wire catches an edge, (use the OCA blade to create a 'bridge'/'transition' so the wire can overcome the edge it is catching). Using the combination will also dramatically increase the longevity of the tool. Any further questions/concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us/comment further. Best regards,

  • What to do if after applying and doing everything you get some air in because of mobile case? How to remove that air?

    @khaqanahmadsaim@khaqanahmadsaim2 жыл бұрын
    • You can get another tube of glue and dispense some along the edge. You can hold the 'void' side up to let gravity pull the glue in and 'pump' the lifted edge pressing it up and down (while holding the 'void' side up) to pull the liquid right up to the existing glue. It shouldn't leave a visible line, but if you are using a case that is butting up right against the protector and the case is flexible, this can be a recurring issue. We would recommend installing the protector with our glue, which is much more viscous, but also much stronger, to avoid having this issue altogether. Best regards,

  • I've installed uv glass before watching this video and my fingerprint sensor not working now what to do now, if i remove the tempered glass my fingerprint will work or not bro

    @jashu151@jashu151 Жыл бұрын
    • If you remove the screen protector, your fingerprint will work. The reason why it's not working now is due to the sensor either being too far or the glue not being able to transmit the ultrasonic pulse well. The concept behind the technique shown in this video is both to reduce the distance, and the amount of glue the pulse travels through. Anyhow, the glue nor the protector cannot physically damage the sensor as they simply sit on top of the front glass. Removing them will restore the function. Any further questions/concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us/comment further. Best regards,
