I was born in 1973 .. grew up listening to both of these men during the heights of their careers in the 70s & 80s. My folks got divorced in 1984 and I went with my mom. But I had the music 🎶 that I shared with my father that he introduced me to that kept him in my heart during the years we were apart. In 1992 I came to live with him at 18... We were back to listening to the music we always had. When my father played Kenny's song Lady which was released in September 1980 he always seemed to cry a bit or get a little sad or weepy. One day I asked him why he got emotional. He said son it's a song I shared with your mother when you were 7 and you sit on the floor and watch us dance. I told him I remember that.. He said for him it was the most perfect time of his life when he had everything he ever wanted. 4 years later everything changed.. Even though I'm disabled my father still takes care of me and in 2023 we still play this song 🎵 and remember the good old days of the 1980s.. And this song by Kenny Roger's.. Music truly can stand the test of time and be a time capsule to another era of life when you felt the world 🌎 was perfect for YOU... I'm 50 and my Dad's 76. We keep the music 🎶 going and continue to bond and have fun along the way ✌🏽

The way Lionel kissed Kenny. So full of respect and love for his friend. We need more folks like them. Perfect voices that compliment each other. Not needing to reach the highest note so that everyone can also sing their song. But the meaning & depth of the song cuts deep. Romantic serenade from the legends.

The younger generations have been thrown under the bus in slo-mo by fundamental (root) rampant systemic/'sociopoliticeconomic' corruption. Some are abandoning ship and becoming local farmers for example but, alas, many others have less opportunities in those kinds of regards as the buses' wheels slowly, mercilessly crush them. They're angry and are striking back, though (backlash), but their punches can be awkward and often misdirected/misguided, creating their own forms of backlash. Think 'Woke', 'Cancel Culture' and 'Social Justice Warrior' and responses to them for some ideas in those regards. Everyone's in for a rough ride in the coming decades.

Let me tell you this duet is pure GOLD. I've always enjoyed these 2 wonderful artists music but together and live was just amazing. You can not only see but feel the love and friendship between the 2 and it made for an unforgettable memory. A timeless classic. After this song appeared on my KZhead feed for the first time, IN THE NEXT 60 SECONDS,I heard that Kenny Rodgers had passed away. I dont believe that was a coincidence at all! This song brought me back to memories of the one true and eternal love of my life. I really believe God used Lionel Ritchie to express that love as no one else has since: the infinite love that God gives a man for the woman He has chosen for him. RIP Kenny, you will be missed

I was born in 1973 .. grew up listening to both of these men during the heights of their careers in the 70s & 80s. My folks got divorced in 1984 and I went with my mom. But I had the music 🎶 that I shared with my father that he introduced me to that kept him in my heart during the years we were apart. In 1992 I came to live with him at 18... We were back to listening to the music we always had. When my father played Kenny's song Lady which was released in September 1980 he always seemed to cry a bit or get a little sad or weepy. One day I asked him why he got emotional. He said son it's a song I shared with your mother when you were 7 and you sit on the floor and watch us dance. I told him I remember that.. He said for him it was the most perfect time of his life when he had everything he ever wanted. 4 years later everything changed.. Even though I'm disabled my father still takes care of me and in 2023 we still play this song 🎵 and remember the good old days of the 1980s.. And this song by Kenny Roger's.. Music truly can stand the test of time and be a time capsule to another era of life when you felt the world 🌎 was perfect for YOU... I'm 50 and my Dad's 76. We keep the music 🎶 going and continue to bond and have fun along the way ✌🏽
