The same thing happened to me when I met blackpink 5 months ago I was impressed by Lisa and Jennie (because they are very visual) but over time I realized the great talent of Jisoo and Rose, and personally Rosé and Jisoo are the best voice has of the 4 girls. You'll know every time you listen more and more to blackpink and Rose's voice is the best.

You know DD, Jenny and Lisa are super talented and deserve the recognition you’ve given them. That being said, they are no more talented than Jisoo and Rose’. Each individual member has their talents and charms. We may have our bias but true fans of BP know they are at their strongest together and I’m guessing they know that as well. Real fans aren’t pitting them against each but supporting them as a whole which is really what they need right now. You’re most certainly entitled to your opinion and thankfully that’s all it is, an opinion. Without all four girls there is no Blackpink and the day that happens will be a sad day my friend.
As a blink, I became part of the fandom because of Lisa not gonna lie but through the years with them you will surely appreciate the other two members, Rosé and Jisoo, I can't blame you if you think Jennie and Lisa stands out among the members its just that the 4 members have different role or position to put flavor to their songs.

I I agree Annie but I don’t understand. I get having a bias but to actually try pitting them against each other or to say who’s going to be more successful than the others irritates me. I have a bias but I still support and love them all equally. Quite honestly I don’t believe the girls themselves want to be solo artists or at the very least to break up the group at least not right now. They’ve said it themselves they are like sisters. They are each other’s support system. Solo projects, yes. Solo artists, no. Blinks, suppor all of our girls!

Well writing songs is part of their training so they know how to write a song. Jennie and Jisoo wrote STAY (one of their songs which is underrated but is so good one of my faves actually, react to it it has a music video). Lisa and Jennie wrote the rap part of their SURE THING by Miguel cover. But the rest of their songs is written and produced by their very great producer TEDDY PARK. Blackpink is so blessed and lucky to have him as their song producer. Their music sound and beat is so dope because of him.

Teddy Park composed both Boombayah and As If It’s Your Last. You’ll hear Teddy’s name a lot when Blackpink thanks him at award shows. Teddy is Korean/American and not only is he a producer at YG Entertainment but he also founded The Black Label which is a subsidiary of YGE. Another fact- Blackpink is also signed to Universal Music group in America and currently working with Ariana Grande’s producer Tommy Brown on their next Album for release early this year. 👏🏼

This is their debut MV released with Whistle. As to the song writing, based on some interviews it seems that this the process. Teddy Park is their producer (also was for 2NE1) and writes the music and the basic lyrics in English. He is an English speaker (quoting Rose' and Jennie) that grew up in the US and went to Korea as a teen, and was rapper before becoming a producer. The basic lyrics are then edited, Korean/English mix created, change and arranged as to who sings what by all 4 members. Rose' stated in an interview sometimes the lyrics are completely from the original. (Ref Zach Sang Show interview) Side note: It is believed that CL of 2NE1 wrote a great of their lyrics.

I’m gonna agree with you about Jennie and Lisa... Not gonna lie, Jennie brought me to Blackpink.. i started stanning Blackpink middle of last yr. just knew them as the singers of KTL.. the song became so huge for couple of months but never seen any videos of them.. however, Jennie is mostly seen in their MV’s and videos thumbnails which gotten me curious because of her beauty, particularly her eyes... and yes, that got me started watching their videos. Overtime, my attention was shifted to Lisa... she has this “IT” factor as you are saying.. both girls have this swag that fits the taste of “western” people as they called it (I’m filipino btw, but yeah, filipinos have diverse taste in music). However, when you are hook to them and started watching all their music videos, performances and other videos in their account (also includes the fan made videos), you’ll gonna love all the girls.. and yes, I’m gonna admit I’m a Lisa stan, or my bias is Lisa, but all the girls have some thing to offer which makes Blackpink a complete and Full package GG. Other people may find your comment and this comment offensive to their bias. It just that people have different taste and style, different preferences in terms of music, fashion, personality and some other factors. What we see as Lisa’s stan may not be true to others, but yeah people should respect others opinions. Your honest reaction and comments is one of the best reactions for Blackpink i’ve ever seen.
Can't argue about the jenlisa part... They just catch your attention mostly but overtime... once you've become a hardcore blink you'll appreciate the uniqueness of each four members... Each of them has specially mastered in different fields where they outshine one another (examples: Jisoo in MC-ing, Jennie in rapping, Rosie in singing & Lisa in dancing) , ... and that's the beauty of this group 🥰

What some probably mentioned is that the girls have input, they have stated as much, but YG is a special label in Kpop, unless you contribute a lot (about 25-30%) you wont get Komca credit (KOMCA is the Korean agency for protecting song rights), Downside is you never really know how much they contributed, upside is more money for those who do most (and can attract more production talent)... fun fact many "selfmade" Idol groups sport as little as 7% contribution. Prediction based on YG, this year will be their fourth year, normally YG groups tend to be very active in their fourth year, and seriously start Producing, writing and composing they have all trained in it, so its a legit possibility, personally I dont care, they are performers first (and excel) if they wanna branch out i will support (if its good ofc)

I think every single blink would wish that their lives are that fun. The fact the the girls faces discrimination from their company, and how they are now going solo as model rather than singers, it’s seem that YG (aka their company) doesn’t give a damn about the girls happiness.

They write songs, but sadly not theirs, or at least they are not credited for it. There have been some slip ups by YG and/or the girls that let it implied they do but aren't credited tho... So who knows. They know how to write, since they do write for their covers, they also wrote a lot during training. It's just that they are trapped in a mysoginist company. I suggest you react to their "BLACKPINK Diaries" tho, they are short videos but amazing that shown the girls interacting behind the scenes and a bit of their everyday life.
Rosé is the Main Vocalist and Lead Dancer in the group. I have to disagree regarding your comparison about "talent". I'm not disagreeing that Lisa and Jennie are talented because they are. But you can not conclude that they are MORE talented than Jisoo and Rosé. They got their own areas to excel. And vocally (musicality wise), Rosé is the most skilled among the four. Just like Lisa is for dancing, Jennie is for rapping and Jisoo is for acting. I relate to people who reacted to BP for the first time and got smitten by Lisa, because that's what happened to me. I heard about Blackpink before but never got to listen to their music, and I always heard the name Jennie (my cousins love her). After watching their mv for the very first time, my cousins asked me who I liked the most, and without knowing who was who in that video, I said "the one who raps and sings majimak choreom". I honestly thought it was Jennie, and it turned out it was Lisa.

I do get it, Jennie and Lisa does attract more people easily that's also why they're the most famous among the four. It's just that Jisoo and Rosé's charms doesn't always get highlighted that much through their songs but the more you know them the more you'll see why it's perfect with four of them. That with missing one, their songs and performances wouldn't be anything good when there's one member missing. But that's not to say there aren't any hardcore Jisoo and Rosé biased out there. Because they also go all out for them.

When it’s comes to writing it’s a bit confusing, let me explain: Blackpink and any trainee under YG are trained to write, Jennie said she wrote over 70 songs as a trainee in a notebook but got it taken away for some reason after they debuted. YG doesn’t allow his female artists to participate in their music, CL (a solo artist that just left the company) had to fight for her to be allowed to write/credit/and participate in their music. Blackpink have written demos but if the demos are used they are never credited for it. Jennie and Jisoo helped write Stay and neither of them were credited. Jennie revealed in her “Jennie Daries” (that you should definitely check out) that she helped write Stay, if it wasn’t for that we wouldn’t have found out she participated in the song. Jennie also revealed in her Jennie Diaries and the VLive she did before Solo dropped that she help write Solo, prepared the outfits, helped out in the choreo for the song and she also produced the Jennie Solo Daries and she was never credited for it (except for the last one). Jisoo revealed in their 3yr anniversary concert that she wrote the song with Jennie and had a different version then the one they released and she was never credited for it. All the members are multi talented and different areas, some more than others which is great but this makes the group more balanced. Jisoo - excels in Singing, Acting, Writing, coming up with melodies and has amazing charisma she good at rapping but if YG gave her the chance she could excel in it as well, stage presence needs a bit more work, there’s times where it’s so strong and other times where the members outshine her in it. she lacks in dancing, even though she doesn’t stan out as a dancer she has improved TREMENDOUSLY Jennie - excels in Rapping, Singing, dancing, writing, playing instruments, amazing charisma like no other she’s good at having stage presence, the major flaw is that when something is wrong with her it’s noticeable in her stage presence but other than that her stage presence is strong there’s nothing Jennie is bad at, if anything she just needs to brush up on somethings but overall she basically the perfect idols Rosé - excels in Singing, dancing, writing, playing instruments, drawing, has amazing charisma she’s good at having great stage presence, but she needs to work on it getting stronger bc sometimes can get outshined by the rest she lacks in rapping but ofc this isn’t something she HAS to be good at since she already excels in so many things. Overall she’s basically a perfect idol as well. Lisa - she excels in Dnacing, rapping, stage presence, charisma, can play an instrument she’s good at singing but she lacks confidence in her singing abilities even though she’s really good at it. She’s also able to write but it’s not her strongest suit which isn’t a bad thing she doesn’t lack in any other place, if anything, just like Jennie, she just needs to brush up on a few things. Overall she’s also a perfect idol. All the members are capable of holding the title as the ACE in the group if they were just given the chance, but for rn the ace in the group is definitely Jennie and Lisa.

Everyone has their favorites, just like with ice cream. There is the one you always go to; the one you shouldn't have but get on cheat day (not really ;p); the one you always want to have but it's always out of; and the one that is so unique that it's a limited time flavor. To me ( if we are going by Jeni's Ice Cream flavors), Rose' is Frose' Sorbet, Jisoo is Dark Chocolate Truffle, Jennie is tricky since she likes milk flavored (?) ice cream so I'm guessing Strawberry Buttermilk, and Lisa would be either Brambleberry Crisp or Lemon & Blueberries parfait (mainly because she is sweet, bright, and can put a bit of zing in her raps). What ice cream flavors do you think these girls are?
