Jorge Masvidal and his dad, Jorge Sr., sit down with ESPN MMA’s Brett Okamoto to describe their relationship. Jorge Sr. (2:06) tells the story of his journey from Cuba to the United States, where he spent seven days on water and what he did to make it. (7:30) Jorge Sr. recalls the day Jorge Jr. was born and how the younger Masvidal got into fights in daycare as a child.     • @@kushsmoker4206 I think that goes for EVERY fighter on the roster. I'm talking more in terms of promotion & elevating fighters so they can be seen by a much bigger audience. I've seen more/better promotion in the last 6 months from ESPN than I have in 5 years from the UFC alone, especially for the "not quite Superstar" type guys.

    • @@Day-ZDuke you'd be surprised man. everyone's got some kind of insecurity...I work in the dental industry and I've seen a lot of tears come streaming down when an ex-crack addict, etc looks in the mirror after getting proper dental work done...not to mention it makes eating and talking much easier too..

  • I did that stretch when I was 16 and it's no joke, the sharks would scratch the bottom of the raft at night. I remember only sleeping 30 minutes one night out of the 5 days it took from Havana to key West, in 1993. Great interview. . Adelante Jorge!!!!!!
