    • @@GREATBLACKSHARK I had no idea they got infiltrated, I thought it was the government and white folk being upset that blacks had guns. Forgive my ignorance but what stops the community from being infiltrated? 50 years ago the community was dealing with the same issues with less coverage, that's where the Black Panthers were born from, if I understand correctly, they were a response to excessive police violence and brutality, they were the community's police. White folk felt threatened that Blacks had guns and classified them as a terrorist group and I'm foggy on what happened to them after that... but I suppose that's due to my privilege.. white folk like me aren't taught everything and I want to know. Please forgive my ignorance.

Regarding present day, whether the dominant society chooses to learn,or not lessons will be taught about what happens when an oppressed people have had enough. Your ignorance (according to you) doesn't offend me. That's a you problem. Life itself is a grand teacher. • @@GREATBLACKSHARK Sorry, I'm using the word ignorance in it's literal meaning, that I don't know... believe me that I don't choose to not know. Most, if not all, of my Black history has been taught to me by Black folk and this bothers me because Black history is intertwined with White history and should be taught from grade 1. How else can we rectify and avoid these atrocities in the future? I'm a Canadian and the history we're taught (in short) is that we were a safe haven for slaves, but the reality is that we have the same issues with our police as America, less killings but just as many false arrests. I am glad that my ignorance does not offend you, it is not willful ignorance and I try to learn as much as I can everyday, this is one of the reasons I subscribed to your channel. I am aware of how mainstream media warps the narrative of a story and I am trying to find truth, whether or not it is comfortable. I am 39 years old and the more I learn the more it hurts because I realize how I have been an unwitting, and frankly unwilling, participant. From movies to TV shows, lines that I laughed at, or just accepted as is, that would deeply offend me today. Lines that I repeated thinking I was clever, but this also gives me hope that others like me might be starting to see their part in the grand scheme. I would venture to say that WS not only harms it's victims but also it's members. I never was a WS but I was blind, which is almost just as bad. I hope one day we can all see each other for WHO we are, not WHAT we are.

This is why I feel it should be required that people in our community take some sort of self-defense class (BJJ, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Karate, etc.) to know how to defend ourselves in a situation like this.
