That's really fantastic. One thing you may have not considered is the color-fading ability of almost every lamp. It is an insidious damager of collections, like this. It can take years, but it is happening. I once saw a Star Wars collection of a collector and the guy couldn't even see what I was talking about. The last time I saw his collection, the fading was so bad and he could now see it. It reminded me of how our accent can change by moving sonewhere without us knowing. Anyway, great stuff. I should ad, some LED systems are far better at this problem. Others still slowly affect color.

I just keep my collection in a big room upstairs. Weather isn’t bad here and flooding isn’t an issue.

If they are graded sealed retro games I get it a bit. Grading opened games doesn't make a lot of sense to me, but they do it in other hobbies like cards and comics.
I find so much comfort in this collection room... if I were y’all I’d literally sleep down there something about it is sooo comforting.

it's not my type of room too. the amount of stuff is super impressive, but the vibe is a sensory overload galore. i'd rather have a more minimalist set up with some cleaner art on the walls than shelves with hundreds of boxes. to each their own though.

I'm fairly minimalistic too but I would certainly love to have a gaming room full of gaming consoles and games, as well as library for my books haha.
"I never had a Super Nintendo, I went straight N64." Man I have to say that's a real pity. In terms of the sheer volume of incredible games, I would say the SNES is probably Nintendo's best system. N64's titles were excellent, but it lacked the enormous number of great titles.
Agreed SNES has the most best games of any Nintendo console. Making a top 100 is nearly impossible. Need more like top 200

YOOOO, Legit collection, Those Nintendo Power Mags got me like DAYUM!!! I used to be a member of the Funclub and have them all. I remember waiting for the mail as a kid. And their Legend Of Zelda maps in those mags were Key to beating that game at the time.

Rose colored gaming truly is amazing. They make collecting fun. When I started, I was really upset I had all this stuff I LOVE and it looked so bad on the shelf. I had no clue how to decorate it. Just looked like i threw them on a shelf. They’re awesome!
I'm literally just in the beginning stages of finding my own apartment and when I finally get my own place I'm going to finally dedicate an entire room to my gaming collection, which admittedly isn't much right now but one day, ONE DAY, I'll have a collection like yours! These tours keep me motivated to continue this hobby! Maybe someday I'll do a gaming room tour! Keep collecting man, can't WAIT to see the 2021 tour

Let’s say you were to value your collection on this current day and give it your best guest, how much do you think your whole collection is worth? I know to you personally it is priceless and I have mad respect that these are not things you value for their monetary value but for the memories and fun they have created and continue to create to this day. I am however infatuated with numbers and I am trying to comprehend the value of everything. I envy this collection and hope to one day have one of every system and even just a few of the games from each system I love playing because I too believe the couch experience is the way to play! Thank you for this nearly 4 hours of entertainment and I hope to see an updated collection tour soon!

Very cool room(s)...and hell yes to the side door opening to the Zelda sound bite. :) ...and definitely don't want the kitty sneaking down there. God forbid it becomes a scratching post when you're not around. I assume you have to double check the door is shut and kitty location is noted every time you leave the house. :D

My parents were always wondering if I want open up a store one day, but once I showed them that I was basically budgeting and trying to collect everything for free, making KZhead videos about it, and still being driven to have a separate career, they started to support my hobby
I made sure when I married my wife that she knew that gaming would be a part of her life forever which she really has been supportive even if its not for her. My parents came around once they saw me finish college and start my career. The different perspectives on gaming always intrigues me.

@@MINECRAFTYnow37 buying things in lots and trading off for selling what I don't need. Also collecting at garage sales, flea markets, going to swap meets, and being very patient hunting locally all contributed to keeping my costs very low. On top of that I do earn some money on KZhead
