Full walking tour of London Stansted Airport while departing from London to Helsinki, via Ryanair. The airport was quite bigger than expected!!
London Stansted Airport (STN) is an international airport located in Stansted Mountfitchet, Essex, England, 42 mi (68 km) northeast of Central London.
London Stansted serves over 160 destinations across Europe, Asia, and Africa. Stansted is a base for a number of major European low-cost carriers, being the largest base for low-cost airline Ryanair, with over 100 destinations served by the airline. In 2015, it was the fourth-busiest airport in the United Kingdom after Heathrow, Gatwick, and Manchester. Stansted's runway is also used by private companies such as the Harrods Aviation, Titan Airways, and XJet terminals, which are private ground handlers that are able to handle private flights, charter flights, and state visits.

  • I've flown solo from Stansted about 40 times since 2016, and I really like this airport. Better than East Midlands or Gatwick. Since I always fly with Ryanair, Stansted is my first choice to depart from. Getting to it from Lincolnshire by car takes about 2 hours, and parking at the official carpark is a doddle. Great video!

Now I've had a break through I'm looking to visit my companion for New Year's, yet this evening the stress really hit me hard. After watching this and other vids I feel far calmer. God bless you ❤🙏🏻

  • Hello, thank you for making this video and sharing it with me. It has been a long time since I have used this airport and Ryanair. This airport which I do not remember was very helpful. It made the IMPOSSIBLE POSSIBLE for me!!! I would never have seen my elders alive in 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2004 because I could not obtain DIRECT FLIGHTS at all. I flew to London and got connecting flights to Ireland. It was manageable for me and solved my airport connection problems!!! I have forgotten where this airport is located?? Seat sales were a good deal on Ryanair. I do not remember the other airlines that I used?? Thank you for connecting the airport looks marvellous and modern!!!!!

  • They say returning from gates 20-39 to 46, but the ramp they walk up back to the main terminal is that used for domestic arrivals… it’s a completely different satellite for gates 81-88 and you can see it says keep right. There is security there and you can’t just turn left to go back towards the shops and other gates.

  • Thanks for this, it was very helpful in locating an unfortunate incident that I had call to complain about. It's clear staff morale is rock bottom here. Coming back to slowly shuffling security queues and a toilet stinking of piss was a rude awakening I can tell you. It's my closest major airport but am considering using East Midlands next time I fly. London City has been by far the best place I've flown out of the UK from but alas is too far now. The golden age of air travel is definitely long gone, it used by a luxury, a privilege; expensive but you were treated as a customer instead of cattle. Bremen at the other end is clean, spacious, friendly - everything a modern airport should be.

    • They opened an airport, but hate the travellers. So they need to make them suffer. I have experienced a night at Standsted couple of days ago. Hostile, arrogant, incredibly unwelcoming place, designed only to squeeze the last penny out of you. A true textbook of hostile architecture.

      @CZpersi@CZpersi Жыл бұрын
  • Has to be the worst airport on the planet. Easily is in my experience. Offers the least amount of service for the most money they can extract from you. The level of neglect is close to criminal. Look what happened when the bus caught fire. Chaos. Anything worse and they would have been responsible for deaths. This airport is so bad it makes me angry.

    @bazatkinson8369@bazatkinson8369 Жыл бұрын
  • The bad experience at this airport is not due to its physical state or how it looks. It is more in the attitude of its employees toward paying customers. The understaffed, underpaid and burned-out personell is always quick to blame any of their faults on you. Passport gates frequently break, causing huge qeues. Security officers will bark at you for having a transparent bag of incorrect dimensions, because their regulations say that it must be exactly 20x20 cm, not less, not more. The terminal closes during the night, so if your flight departs early in the morning and you are considering to spend the night at the airport, then think again you lousy customer. You are not welcome! How dare you to use our airport! Out to the rain with you! If you need to sit down, it is your problem. It is not our fault that you are tired. You should have known better. We need to make money, so we replaced most of the seating areas with overpriced "duty free" shops and the few remaining seats were designed to be us uncomfortable as possible. We will charge you exorbitant sums for train or bus from the airport that is about 50 km from London and could well be called "Cambridge Airport". And if you come by car, do not worry, we have an entire list of parking scams waiting for you and your wallet. Who would have thought that you can pay more for parking than for your flight ticket? Well, welcome to the land of miracles. Welcome to the shithole, known as London Standsted. Welcome to the textbook of hostile design. You fly low-cost, which is not even low-cost anymore? You will suffer.
