The UFC will hold them back because they can't promote them as fast as the sport is evolving, by the time you promote a "champion," there's already new guys that would stomp him. While in boxing, old guys past their primes beat new champions easily because their own era was just so much more competitive that they still beat the new guys. MMA isn't centuries old.

Conor is 1 and 1 at lightweight in the ufc, Dustin has a better ground game and has remained active and has actually fought top contenders. Conor has only fought Eddie Alvarez and khabib at lightweight in the ufc. Looking at the stats Dustin has the edge.

  • 2:10 - if you don't learn something from that you're watching the wrong sport. One of the best things about this sport, about the UFC, is the human / warrior insight. People like Gaethje are so incredibly humble, but have such strength, resolve, and will, that you can't help but be better just from listening to them, if you really listen. Few other sports can relate.
