completely agree. This song transports me to a place that I hadn't experienced personally. The great unknown of being a child. That nostalgic feel of discovery and adventure from our youth. Although I don't have an actually personally memory that comes to mind. It just feels too vague. Mysterious and distant, yet hopeful and bliss. Like our innocents as children. I believe this song represents all of our youth collectively, that is why I can't say it is my nostalgia specifically. It is the entity of nostalgia as a whole and as time passes it becomes more and more distant, yet always recognizable. It can give you anxiety or peace, it's just a matter of how you perceive it.

This game was so unbelievably ahead of its time. Here we are 2023 and almost all the indie titles and even some games made by big studios feel like they were taken direct inspiration from this.
I've read this is the first game to have dynamic lighting. So it was ahead of its time. I actually like modern video games use sound and lighting less effectively now than in the past.
It's 2024 now. This game is timeless. I'm always going to be thinking about it. It really is a real piece of art.

this song sticks out so strongly from the rest of the soundtrack. the rest is so brooding, dark, and eerie. then you just have this cheery, youthful, almost celebratory track that totally changes the mood. its masterful how they just change it up on you like this
The whole game is fantastic and I loved it beginning to end but I won't lie after exploring and fighting and climbing I was very excited seeing a save point to listen to this song for a few minutes before going back into the story

Many years ago, when I first completed this game on the PS2, I paid about £25 for a Japanese import CD of the soundtrack, specifically for this music. When it arrived I discovered the track was only a minute and a half long. I was gutted. This upload heals that old wound, thank you.

I've never played Ico, but I always was a big fan of Shadow of the Colossus and the other Team Ico/ GenDesign games. I've been using this track for a while now as a background melody before falling asleep and I don't regret it.

Played this at a school party a few weeks before graduation and I swear there was this atmosphere in the air I hadn't felt before and haven't felt since. It felt like time stopped. It's little moments like these that we hold onto for a long time.
Me and the love of my life would fall asleep to this when we lived together. He would come home exhausted from working in the kitchen and play this game or skyrim. It's such a happy reminder of the amazing times that hopefully we can build again

I just finished Ico. Before this last time, something always stopped me; procrastination, boredom, errands... anything. This last time I was really committed to play it until the end and WOW... just WOW. Shadow of the Colossus feels like it has a wider range of emotions, and The Last Guardian has an special feeling because of Trico (I even cried with the end). However, Ico feels really intimate, personal. You really feel that you are that horned boy struggling with those eerie shadows. To me, is like that lack of expressiveness in the boy is what helps us get into him easier. I just want to thank Fumito Ueda for creating these unforgettable experiences.

Didn’t get to experience this on the PS2 unfortunately, I always though the box art was trash but in a sense I did remember the game because of it. Out of curiosity and everyone raving about the game studio, I decided to dive into the game not really knowing much on my PS3. It was a strange feeling, just exploring the world of ICO, felt really dark and scary at times, but you find small areas of peace. You can just stand there and look at what the world had to offer even in its empty state. And then you have this song, really helped me appreciate video games as a medium, and so to access those memories of youth, I just play this song. So beautiful.
