Time-lapse video of a BJJ curriculum review session under the guidance of one of our mentors, Coach John Riel “Bricko” Soriano (in black gi), team captain of Kamphuis Fabricio Jiu jitsu Tarlac. Coach Bricko is a regular visitor as well as our regular competition coach. Team Cabanatuan is forever in your debt, Coach Bricko!
Also in the video is Coach Fluobert “Gatzbrave” Gatita (in blue gi), team captain of Kamphuis Fabricio Jiu jitsu Cabanatuan. Coach Fluobert is also a Bangkok-certified kru, who serves as the head of the local Muay Boran / Thai group. He is also the training group leader of Dekiti Kali Tactical Evolution-Cabanatuan, as well as the head of the local chapter of Malayan Sports Combat.
Please excuse our surgical masks, as there is a local outbreak of Mycoplasma pneumonia in our area - a bacterial type of “walking pneumonia” during the time of filming this video.

  • I agree! Though I have very little idea for now on how to effectively combine the two arts. Maybe when I gain more BJJ experience. Tbh i suck a lot at BJJ as I tend to get smashed a lot.

  • Wow, you earned your blue belt! Great! We are the same rank. If I go back to the Philippines can we please meet up sometime and practice Arnis/Kali, and Boxing, and BJJ stuff? I can also show you Taekwondo stuff for fun.

    • I would be no match for you! The US is the hotbed of BJJ. That would be nice I hope our schedules line up. It’s so difficult finding time balancing the hobbies, the family business and the clinic. of course, I would love to learn Taekwondo from you. It was the first martial art I truly fell in love with. I have only the highest respect for it. I am nowhere your skill level though as I only got to green belt level and only competed once.

    • @@bladesociety will I have been out of BJJ practice for many years. So I'm a bit rusty. It would be fun to I corporate knife with BJJ and combine FMA with it and figure out good stuff.
