What are some of your favorite Flugtag moments?
What’s the longest flugtag record?
The commentary on the last flight of the navigator... 'the drinks trolley was on the way round ... ' hahahaha
The last one, where SHE did an amazing work keeping it of the ground for so long. Why does the commentator presume it´s a guy? 8:52 for you that don't want to search for it. (Look at how long HE´S staying up there.)
@Lonely burrito l)
I can't decide
"I never go that far on my Holidays" 😂😂
seriously got me good. best announcement of all flug tag LOL
Actually he said "I dont go that far on my holidays" if your gana say something atleast get it right
@@benradcliffe2717 aha, do you mean gonna, if you gonna say anything, at least get it right.
@@benradcliffe2717 if you're* gonna* say something at least* get it right
Not that far but indeed... I get that high
The idea of a slingshot mechanism for the final launch is incredible! Most planes have a hard time getting off of the ground due to low speed but they solved it!
Oh you noticed that too!
yeah that's epic with the clutch to connect the winch in the last stretch
I mean it helped that it was an actual proper build as well
The centre of mass/centre of lift ratio was nearly perfect too which made it glide level
Its the same idea as the poop one but executed much better
One thing I love about flugtag is that there are some teams that don't even try to build something that flies 🤣🤣 they know they're not going to win, so they have as much fun as they can
Which tbf was probably the point when red Bull came up with this idea
It’s nice that they have fun, but at least try if you enter. It’s annoying watching so many teams not even put forward an attempt.
The last one! Wow! I’m a retired airline pilot, and that’s a proper designed wing! Well done!
This would be more interesting to watch if most builds flew like that and din't just fall straight down
@@linusbergmannen so true, but I think the whole premise is laughing at the disasters....🤣🤣🤣
@@michae8jackson378 yeaah, I guess and many people do seem to like this format. It's difficult to find a perfect mix between too serious and too "playful"
Not to mention the genius launching mechanism
The last one was an awesome design. It just glided through the air. They've got my vote. 😆👍
I just watched a human get birthed then launched 11meters
xD
He was shitted, cacca in italian is poo, and also he was brown xD
too bad it was a really crappy flight
He was suppose to be the baby poop.
That was poo.
Having the large wheels on the launcher gave more heigth from which to launch from. That with the aid of a catapult and a properly designed wing resulted in a spectacular flight. Good job guys.
It’s a good job but honestly it’s not the goal of the competition. It’s to have fun and not be serious, kinda like their soapbox competition as well. Everyone can build a proper soapbox, but nobody does
What you are missing is that the large wheel had a smaller shaft which pulled the rope that launched it. The catapult was powered by the large wheels going forward.
If I could bring someone back to life, I'd pick the Wright brothers to show them this. It would be so funny to show them how far we didn't get with flight and then be all like PSYCH!
But you can only bring back one of the wright brothers tho.
“So You’re telling me you can frickin’ time travel, but no working flight machines yet? TF?!”
That's just cruel🤣🤣🤣
The older brother actually got to witness jet engine planes, pretty crazy if you think about it
If you're talking about a slingshot then bring back the brothers. But if it was a real plane, we would need to bring Santos Dumont 😂
Ive seen this competition so many times, and i always wondered why nobody built a secondary launch system like the last craft, who took advantage of the idea of being on an aircraft carrier and launching like one, the catapult launch was brilliant!
Tbh, before this video, I thought there was some kind of an inside joke with this event. The launching mechanism seems like common sense to me- but then again, these days, it's more like uncommon sense.
Because its just for fun
@@Lost_n_Found_1 ‘common’ sense is relative, also way to take a fun thing and make it an edgy comment on society.
@@CalebSalstrom Hi Caleb! First of all, I was simply sharing an honest thought. It does seem like common sense to apply a launching mechanism in this event. (Some might even call the act of problem solving and discussing the concepts therein "fun.") Let's cut to the part that has offended you. I truly believe that the general population has less common sense than generations past. You're right. Common sense is relative- and currently, it is contextually relative to the undeniable and observable fact that as technology evolves, our dependent, "enlightened" species is devolving as a whole. And edgy? Edgy? That made me chuckle. There's nothing edgy about anything I said, Caleb. The writing's been on the wall for decades. Some of us even find it "fun" to ponder and discuss. I'll leave you with this, Mr. Relativity. Are "fun things" not relative as well? Have a wonderful day!
@@Lost_n_Found_1 I never said I was offended. Only that you are taking something that is fun, and making it into a discussion on society, hence the 'edginess'; It's very assumptive of you to claim that others enjoy discussing those concepts and problem solving as if I myself do not, because I do, in the right context. Unfortunately I saw right through your first comment and knew it would lead to exactly what you just said, which is the same old cliche of 'everyone else is stupid except me' thinly veiled behind the 'common sense is no longer common' rhetoric which immediately exposes your lack of experience engaging and listening to the people around us, and instead your opinions are formed from the internet and whatever small social bubble you inhabit for the majority of your time which you interpret as absolute. I don't find folks like you offensive, I find you exhausting.
RedBull is that popular kid at high school who always knew how to throw a good party
the last one is an engineering masterpiece
if they couldve just launched in a slight downward angle, they couldve flown much longer
@@jeshland Longer runway would've helped them too.
That last one was bloody amazing! 😁
*_"I DON'T GO THAT FAR ON MY HOLIDAYS!"_* Sht had me dyin! 😂🤣😂🤣
Idk how I've never heard of this but it's now my new favorite thing
That launcher design is brilliant. Easy to push. Flywheel energy delivers double speed to the plane. Just genius
Flugtag is one of my all-time favorite things on KZhead. Just excellent content.
The last one can definitely fly around the world if its have an engine
Love that the Swiss actually used working alerions on their wing for control.
Just noticed it just now, the Swiss flag is not only a flag
@@dedykurniawansantoso5279 its a big plus
As a pilot that last one was impressive, they spent a lot of time on that design but I wonder if doing away with ailerons entirely might've helped them out a bit. Very cool rod control set up to the control surfaces but it put out a lot more drag than ideal. Especially considering how much money went into it though it ought to fly well! Love the lifting body concept and the washout to the wingtip. They spent a fortune on it.
As an engineer I can confirm that
well they did have sponsors, also middle aged swiss engineers are pretty much all millionaires ;)
@@amos9274 no wtf theyre not. im swiss bruh
@@DeputyHarveyyou guys are not starving. Come on.
the launching mechanisms designed by the last one and mamacacca are ingenious
'i dont go that far on my holidays' casters on point lol
1900's : we will have floating cars in the year 2000's 2000's:
i honestly prefer this💀
@@professionalbird911 lmao
'Ter land ter zee en in de lucht' is a dutch 70's tv show which stopped in 2010. It had similar activities of contestants who would build their own machines to cross the water.
We had similar in Norway from 83 to 02, but it started in Selsey (England) in 71. I was really curious as to what the origin was. And now you know too.
I loved the racing in reverse and the caravan races.
@@chris86simon I am sorry, but it is really a Dutch tv-show concept by Rene Stokvis Productions in 1971.
I love the comment "I don't go that far on holidays!!!!" xD
Finally, at the end, something that could actually fly!
Can we get some recognition for that announcer? He is THE BEST and an expert on all things crazy Red Bull fun! ❤
5:09 those little icebergs 😂😂
These people know how to have fun. It isnt about superior designs or engineering,
the last one is really impressive
In holland we had a tv show like this in the 80s. They had fun events
the last🔥🔥
“I don’t go that far on my holiday’s” 👏😂
Catapult launch is awesome!
Red Bull events are peak humanity
HAH! using gear ratio feedback to to catapult the plane was a stroke of GENIUS!
Oh! nevermind...the rope was fixed....
the last one is amazing
Redbull patrocinando la contaminación de nuestras aguas 👌🏼
Today, I iam pleased to learn what the heck a flugtag is. I live on a lake with some decent cliffs. Time to bring flugtag HOME! :-)
The last Flight Is Simply beautiful
The last one is stunning
That last one was extremely impressive. Only thing I could think of changing was during flight, I would've kept my nose lower to avoid stalling.
That last one was impressive af. Slingshot release and look at the profile of that wing, it looks like a legit airplane lol
The last one was 🔥🔥🔥
That slingshot glider worked excellent
Last one brilliant omg. Brilliant
The announcer saying, "I don't go that far on my holidays!" 🤣
Insanity and great fun! I never knew this was a thing... and worldwide no less! 🌍🧡
that last one was impressive, but my favorite is the flying caca
6:50 DAAAAAAAAMN GIRL!! 😉😘
Looking forward to this Saturday. 😁
good thing they took this idea from the netherlands with the ramp and everything with selfmade creations
I Hope Red Bull flugtag come to indonesia some days
That commentator is the best!
Aerofoil design...... Nailed it ✈️
The last flight was super impressive! All the other ones were a lot of fun as well but that last one was just genius!
The last one is truly amazing! That slingshot mechanism did the job! Someone please add "Sogno di volare" to this! ;)
8:19 Thank you Camera guy ♥
The last one has the proper airfoil shape and better launching facility!!So obviously they took the trophy to their club 😂
Red Bull creative team is awesome. This and the soapbox racing is gold
This is the highlight of the year.
The dog is yeah for the clout. Kiddingg. Great fun actually!!!
It's like KZhead knows when I'm hungover and puts this in my recommendations.
Never heard of this until now - ngl it looks pretty fun lol
Commentary on the final clips was sensational 😂😂😂😂😂
they had redbull to give them the energy to make it sensational!
Крайний был супер, красавчик!!!
9:46 As much as it's fun to have the ridiculous ones, it's also fun to see people do a great job and have a good feat of an engineering! It's just as exciting for me when it's mixed in with all the class clowns!
The dog win my heart
Well worth the wait to see that last launch. What a flight.
The last one is incredible
I just love this kind of thing! What fun! I'd like to do that here where I live.
wow that last one!! amazing!
Watched this a few times, the Swiss made the best one, but I've now realized he was steering it too
My new favourite sport.
9:02 "SENSATIONAL! I don't go that far on my Holidays!.."
Last one got way better glide rate that F-4 phantom
Really great performance congratulations to all participants, greatly appreciated thanks so much 🙏
The #1 actually brought a tear to my eye 🥲 Like, literally. 😅😅 Haha truly the most majestic flight to the sky! ..and water.
It's like watching the Macy's day parade on acid
5:54 Let's be honest, they clearly put extra attention on the crafting of that perfect backside.
These events are pretty cool.ive got to see one in person in long beach pretty dope I just hope they bring it back.
Those people pushing the last one were really committed, they went full force all the way and just accepted their fate of ending up in the water.
That last one was pretty brilliant.👍🏆👍
最後すごい😍‼️👍
I swear that's BT's Darren Fletcher on commentary
The last one is brutal...💥
Saw this as a kid in Baltimore. Was the first time I ever got wasted hahaha
I remember seeing these like 10? years ago once on tv. Now seeing it again hits me hard.
We need Red Bull Olympics!
The lat one though 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
