Woodturning - One Big Ugly Burl into a dragon egg !!

2018 ж. 14 Мау.
17 713 494 Рет қаралды

This gnarly burl was another field find, I was planning on making a vase but wasn't confident it would stay on the lathe while hollowing as some of it was quite punky, so it ended up being quite a cool looking egg ...
I filled the voids with Alumilite Amazing clear cast epoxy resin
and coloured with Jacquard sapphire blue pearl ex powder.

  • I love that there's no shitty music in the background. Just the sound of the tools. It's calm.

    • @@AndyPhillipWoodturningyou’re nothing close to Michelangelo. Don’t let these easily impressed randoms suffering from down syndrome get your hopes up. Why even say “thank you” you know I know everyone else knows you’re nowhere even close to having Michelangelo level skill. You do something a toddler can do if taught, you have no innate skill. You’re nothing special.

  • I think it's nice that this guy can take something that most people would just throw on the bonfire pile because it can't fit in their fireplace, and turn it into something that he could sell for thousands of dollars or put above aforementioned fireplace. It's awesome. And that he hearts comments on old videos. That's also nice. It shows a genuine love for his viewers and his work. We need more creators like this guy, who really care about their viewers instead of just churning out content non stop.
