Its a warm day, and the trucks are ready to go head to head. I have cleaned my rig since the 2018 TTC (Top Truck Competition) but seem to have a glitch that was unidentified until I began my run. I was still able to get through it with a respectful time.. but it certainly hurt my ability and predictability with my truck. My buddy Steve had a great run.. also struggling with some repositions, roll overs, backups and so much more. This is a challenging course.. and is not meant to be easy.

  • Yes I've made it this far and I'm lovin' it! I'm a 59 year old kid and I still play with R/C trucks and slot cars of all sizes, both digital and analog. Not even a waste of time nor money! When one of my 3 daughters was 18 she made fun of me when she saw my " toy" digital SCX slot car track and then her and the 2 older sisters proceeded to race for 2000 laps before taking a break! Hey Dad, this is really cool she then said! LOL

  • I'm beginning to think that scale RC courses are far more difficult than full size events. Back when I used to compete in full sized RTV club trials, our club instigated a rule that if the course setters couldn't clear 70% of the gates and obstacles then gates were either changed or removed until they could. A bit soft maybe but it prevented excessively difficult courses

  • Why are some people so offended by how others spend their money to have fun? I have REAL 4x4s too, but, I also just spent a few dollars of my own to buy a couple of RC cars for my twin 3 year old grandsons. Sure, they didn't cost much, but, I know that they'll have fun with them. I'll also have fun watching them play so it's worth every penny. There's also a new project in my shop that arrived a few days ago. It involves my nieces Power Wheels Barbie Camper, a Harbor Freight 6.5 horsepower gas engine and a pile of steel tubing. She outgrew it as a Power Wheels, but, she'll have fun with her Barbie Camper go cart when it's finished and I'll have the satisfaction of making her happy. It's only money, have fun, and if you can, let others have fun too cause life is short!
