  • I've been doing printed clone helmets for the last three years, your dedication to nail this in cardboard is just amazing. I wouldn't think that you could get such accurate render with this type of material. Well done, congratz, you've got all my respect.

  • This helmet is amazing! A tip I have seen from other guys who do this stuff is a bondo-water mixture of mostly water added to bondo in a cup mixed together. It creates a bondo liquid you can more easily apply than normal bondo which could fix the problem you have (as shown). Using 60 grit as a start and then 150 and then 200 could also help. Overall good shit man!

  • Very clever. That’s the thing I like. I don’t think it makes sense when companies sell props for $500+ when the actual prop for the movie was made so cheaply or it wasn’t even real to begin with. It’s all about technique.

  • The helmet is amazing, and honestly all your projects are gonna be amazing from now on. They were already amazing before, but they just get better and better. Because I think you’ve hit your peak in prop making skills. In fact it’ll probably get even better! And I love how your watching breaking bad while building the helmet.

  • It's extremly satisfying to watch all these pieces fit together so perfectly and how the project comes together step by step. When i started making helmets it was just a pain cause i had to make every piece at least 3 times until i got it right. And don't even let me start on the struggle to create a smooth surface. But overall it's fun and your videos made it possible in the first place.

  • Im doing this project myself for the first time using this video as a guide and I just did the second coat on resin yesterday. I ended up using some double sided tape, scotch tape for the curved parts in an attempt to avoid hot glue residue, and duct tape on some parts that i thought could use some extra strength before applying any resin. I think using the tape as a crutch left me with a much rougher product so i’m afraid the resin won’t get rid of those imperfections, but maybe the sanding and painting steps will help with that. I’m going to try doing a EVA foam build next and see which one i prefer.
